Mid Century Modern Flos Splugen Brau Spun Aluminum Pendant Lamp Castiglioni
Flos"Splugen Brau" hanging pendant light or lamp- designed in the early 1960's by Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni. A timeless design. And still in production today. I do not know the age of this particular lamp, but it is in used condition. Made of ribbed, spun aluminum and in very good condition. Some minor scratches here and there, and one tiny ding in the mid section(see photo and red arrow) Really hard to notice with all the ribs and reflections. The cord is approx 7' long, but can be shortened as needed. The light comes with the metal electrical mounting plate(must be hard wired) and plastic trim piece. These lights look best with chrome tipped light bulbs(photo) but the bulb shown is not included. Size" 14' diameter and approx. 8" high. Look online for plenty of lighting ideas.

Rare Gerald Thurston Mid Century Modern Lightolier Saucer Floor Lamp. I'd found a couple examples of a desk lamp that was attributed to Gerald Thurston. The shades were identical, but I was never able to find the matching floor lamp, other than this one. This one is in working condition, but shows some condition issues. The plastic light diffuser melted when someone used too hot of a bulb at one time, there are a couple of dents in the metal base, and there are light speckles of white paint overspray, not terrible and should be easily cleaned off, but it's there. You can see the switch is slightly bent, I found this when I removed the shade and straightened it somewhat. I cannot ship this. It's just beyond my skill. Buyer has the choice of either paying a professional packer to pack this puppy, or better yet, just come pick it ... moreup. Other than the plastic shade issue, which isn't even noticable unless you look up directly under it, the issues are an easy fix for this rare floor lamp. I try to ship within 24 hours of reciept of payment. Except on weekends and holidays. I also charge the buyer what I pay in shipping. In fact, when I ship Parcel Post, it costs me more than what I charge the buyer. If this is not acceptable to you as the bidder, please don't make a bid on this item. 24" Bubble UFO Lamp by Howard Miller / George Nelson Vintage Mid Century Modern
George Nelson created UFO"Bubble Lamp" for Howard Miller. This one is an original Mid Century classic with its soft warm glow. The new ones from Modernica just don't give the same glow. This one is larger sized at 24" wide and 10" tall at it's center with a very long 22 foot cord that seems to be the original. The cord was adapted from wired socket type to regular wall plug at some point. This one is fine shape except for a small sized tear on the bottom that is hardly noticeable. Measures 61 1/2" tall and base measures 10 3/4" across. Each Cone measures 8 1/8" long and opening 5" across. Each light has its own separate on/off switch- turn black end piece clockwise. One light can be on. Two lights on or all three. Really cool and rare color scheme. Shows some slight surface wear here and there, but structurally very sound and sturdy! The lampshade is made of sheet metal lacquered forest green on the outside and white on the inside. The lampshade rests on a metal structure fitted around the bulb casing. The casing is itself encased in a metal cylinder lacquered petrol blue. It rests on a brass decorative fitting and the rest of the stem is made of metal lacquered forest green. The base is made of three brass feet fixed to a central brass base. The original switch is placed on the cord. The Philips label can be found inside the lampshade. The lamp is in good/fair condition and in full working order. There are age related scratches. Marks and chips on the petrol blue lacquer work. These are particularly prominent along ... morethe rim of the lampshade and on the bulb casing cylinder. The white lacquer work has similar age related markings. Mid century spattered pottery lamp.off-white with black teardrops. Teak wood base and top. Measures 33" tall to the top of the finial. Wood ball finial may not be original. This is the Quintessential Mid Century Modern Tension Pole Lamp. Very Unique and stunning Design and in excellent working condition There are 2 shades( Lights) They are made of a Brass Frame with linen covered fiberglass and Wood trim on the outside of the shades. The metal on the shades. And top and bottom pole I believe is Brass. The center section of the pole is wood(I believe it's walnut. But not certain) It has a rotary turn on/off switch. Turn the switch once for one light, turn it again for the other light and again for both. It's designed to fit an approximately 8 foot ceiling. The tension spring at the top is tight and working properly.You set the disk on the ceiling and move the rest under it to set the tension. There is some tarnish on the brass. Original 1960s Table Lamp Mid Century Bauhaus Danish Modern 50s 70s Era
You are bidding on an original art deco table lamp. The lampshade is made red fabric backed with opaque white card to maximize light reflection and fitted onto a white metallic structure. The lampshade is fitted under the bulb casings and held in place by a small chrome lid. The base is made of polished metal a cover finished with teak or ash laminate. The original light switch is placed under the light bulb(see picture 6) The lamp is in good condition and in full working order. There are a few age related marks on the lamp. However. Vintage Mid Century Modern Atomic Metal Wood 3 Cone Pole Lamp Beige
All original vintage pole lamp with cones. Each cone turns on one at a time so you can control how much light you want in the room. Beige metal with brass-tone metal in the center of the pole and accents and wood(teak? tips on the cones. The cones are positionally adjustable and have stamped-in holes that lets the light come through for cool effect. This lamp works. There is some natural vintage-age scratching in some areas of the paint. But there are no dents or dings. A good cleaning/polishing will make this pole lamp shine. It has spring-like tension pole which will fit to a ceiling height of 8 1/2 feet. This lamp will break down to a point for shipping, but easy to re-assemble. From a smoke-free environment. GAETANO SCIOLARI Lightolier Chandelier Glass Rod Mid Century Modern Vintage lamp
Please visit my store to see newly added Thurston/Lightolier Floor lamps and Knoll Items. Three exciting& matching Thurston Tripod Lamps coming to my store around 20 Feb. Here for consideration is a magnificent chandelier by Gaetano Sciolari produced I imagine by lightolier with heavy brass. Heavy chrome, hundreds of glass rods and a feel much larger than the measurements suggest. This is a chandelier that can only be seriously appreciated in-person and not via photos. Plenty of photos provided showing details to see how good this is. Please review them all. General Description: Gaetano Sciolari has designed many great pieces. And this one is one of the largest designed. This exact chandelier may be found on first dibs, and another seller on ebay also has one listed with frankly, more alluring photos than mine- I do not have a studio. ... moreI photographed it with only about 40% of the rods in place due to the weight that was bearing on the ceiling hook. Twelve 40 watt bulbs illuminate 204 glass rods that are 18" each suspended on 6 solid brass and chrome plates that alternate in height. The quality of the brass and chrome is second-to-none. This chandelier came from an institution in West Virginia with a 7 foot chain linking it to a ceiling plate. The chandelier was kept in a humidity and temperature controlled environment which means it has survived well. It measures approx. 21" high from the top of the hanger finial to the bottom of the lower row of glass rods and is 21" wide. Condition: Brass and chrome is almost near perfect with only mention of some scuffing and light scratches to very few areas- not worth the mention but for the sake of accuracy must be. The only area to show any real patina is on the central spoke holding the three arms to the 6 fixtures. The janitors took good care of this but in the process over time. 5 of the glass rods have been broken- as the fixture has internal rods and external rods we recommend either sourcing 5 rods, or simply omitting them from the interior rod arra
