Vintage Mid Century Retro Tension Pole Floor Ceiling Lamp Gold Metal Wood 3-Way
Great old lamp Shown in an area with 8 foot ceilings- maximum extension is 9 feet. H as a 3-way switch on the pole and is in fine working condition Cosmetically this item is good for someone who is not super picky or it would make a great restoration project. Issues are as follows: the mid-section of the pole has a fair amount of pitting and the back sides of shades show wear(as shown in photos. Which go from top to bottom, fronts then the backs- ie, the first three are top/middle/bottom fronts and the next three show the wear on the top/middle ones- is most significant on the top one, not too bad on the middle one and the bottom one has the flaws as shown. Additionally, the insides of the shades have some wear- the photo is of the top one and it is the worst of the three. Fortunately the shades swivel/rotate. Rare Gerald Thurston Mid Century Modern Lightolier Saucer Floor Lamp. I'd found a couple examples of a desk lamp that was attributed to Gerald Thurston. The shades were identical, but I was never able to find the matching floor lamp, other than this one. This one is in working condition, but shows some condition issues. The plastic light diffuser melted when someone used too hot of a bulb at one time, there are a couple of dents in the metal base, and there are light speckles of white paint overspray, not terrible and should be easily cleaned off, but it's there. You can see the switch is slightly bent, I found this when I removed the shade and straightened it somewhat. I cannot ship this. It's just beyond my skill. Buyer has the choice of either paying a professional packer to pack this puppy, or better yet, just come pick it ... moreup. Other than the plastic shade issue, which isn't even noticable unless you look up directly under it, the issues are an easy fix for this rare floor lamp. I try to ship within 24 hours of reciept of payment. Except on weekends and holidays. I also charge the buyer what I pay in shipping. Wow! Up for auction is a three piece set of mid century lamps.The bottom of the floor lamp has Acme embossed on to the cast iron base. The floor lamp is about 53" tall. The glass shade is 6" tall x 8" and the fiberglass shade is 17.5" wide and 8" tall.The lamp works looks good,the brass has become tarnished over time and the base has some stains/surface rust and tarnishing,the glass shade has a chip around the base,once its on the lamp its not very noticeable. Up for sale is a vintage floor lamp. It has a cool industrial look. It works and has the original plug. This shade has a plastic"knob" that you can grab and move the shade while it is on so you don't burn your hand. It also telescopes up and down. Overall good condition. Just could use a wipe-down. Designed by Robert Sonneman for George Kovacs. This versatile lamp features a 7" diameter chrome orb shade that rotates in multiple directions, which is attached to a 47" long x 1/2" diameter chrome stem, which is attached to a heavy black painted cast iron base. The base is so heavy and the circular joint so good that the stem can be tilted from 90º vertical all the way to barely touching the floor without falling over. Widdicomb* Many large detailed pictures below description* Superb vintage Italian mid century Gino Sarfatti/ Arteluce floor lamp. Circa 1950s A vintage articulating single light floor lamp by Gino Sarfatti for Arteluce. The piece has a white marble base. Solid chromed steel hardware, original black leather handle and original white enameled thick aluminum shade. The piece is in good vintage condition. See condition below. Piece signed Italy on bottom of base. And signed"Made in Italy" on chrome tension knob at center fulcrum. Attribution to Sarfatti comes from multiple sources and references to similar pieces with exact construction details. Hardware, and materials. Not similar, not"in style of" this is the genuine article. It is an absolutely striking and imposing piece of mod design. Lamp rod will move in 4 ways- slide ... moreup and down in fulcrum. Twist, and tilt up/down, and rotate around. Lamp will tilt up/down at top ball joint. Main base pole measures 56" tall. Adjustable pole(without shade) ~28" long. Shade is ~2.5 in diameter at top/back cylinder, expanding to opening of 10.5" and total length of ~10.5" Marble base ~11" dia. In a typical upright position as I have it. Not fully extended, the lamp stands around 6' tall. Piece is what I call"unmessed with. All surfaces original. Marble has a handful of small dings in surface. There is some general minor to moderate oxidation in chrome poles in places. Loss of chrome in a few spots, mainly on hardware. The chrome shines up well overall. Only modest wear to black lower portion of pole. Cap at top of main pole missing, threaded end exposed. Thick aluminum shade has no dents, in great"shape" with some surface chips to original paint, mainly where you'd expect, at edges. Some mild general discoloration- not a blaring white, more cream color with very mild discoloration. I believe the wiring is original. I took the socket, etc apart from shade to clean it and inside of shade and reassembled as it was.

The light socket is a three-way switch meaning three power levels can be used with an appropriate bulb providing the right lighting at various times from a soft glow to a full illumination of a room. Typically a 150 watt bulb is used. The white perforated metal sections disburse the light with concentration on downward and uninhibited up ceiling/wall washing. With a very large wide shade of 23" that does not blind you when being viewed, yet due to it's size provides a large amount of light. Finally the Linen shade has a 9" wide aperture at the top and 23" bottom with a 9" slant providing a very modernist line to the form of the lamp stand. Vtg Mid Century Modern Walnut Floor Lamp 61 inches! Modeline Sculptural Wood Up for sale is an amazing find! This mid century walnut floor lamp measures 61 inches tall. That's over 5 feet! There is no label on it. But I do believe that this is a modeline lamp. Looks like some repair work has been done on the wood just above the base(as pictured) It is structurally very sound. The wood looks amazing. The three wood tiers do have a small hole on the inside of each one from where the shade would have been connected. Other than that it looks great. The brass on the base and up the middle do have some discoloration with age. I have not polished that because I like the vintage look of the metal. I have wax n' fed the wood, giving it a great glow! Nice mid-century floor lamp with marble base. I have seen this attributed to aforementioned designers/manufacturers but really have no idea who came up with this. Approx. 51" tall as photographed. Taller if swivel lamp head is pointed upwards. It's a satiny gold finish cylinder with a more brassy(perhaps actual brass) neck. The base is a lovely carrera marble. Pretty heavy overall. There are a few flea-bites in the black inner paint on the outer edge of the cylinder, but that is an easy fix with some flat black or just polish down the outer edge. Overall, good vintage condition. And looking at it from a couple feet away, it looks great! USA only please, no exceptions. Thanks!

So not certain as to exact age(plug suggests 1950s-60s) but it is in excellent vintage condition meaning it is old, has been used and shows little wear with a little dulling of the chrome on a couple of the light bases, but no chips, cracks, dents and nothing broken or missing. The auction includes the five colored light bulbs pictured but cannot guarantee they will work after they have been shipped due to their age. This fabulous chrome lamp features five lights arranged in a spiral and a twist on-off switch about mid-way up. Vintage Floor Lamp, copper and brass, mid century, retro
the lamp is about 62 inches tall. The yoke is about 12 inches across. is made of brass and copper pieces, not sure if they are solid or plated, the top lamp works, the plug in works, not sure of the underside lamp(takes a very small bulb which I don't have) When we got it, it was the small dull copper color. I polished it up, still could use some more. has some spots in the copper that may or may not come out. Comes from the estate of a doctor who redid lighting in his retirement. The height adjusts from 40 inches to 48 inches. We trade in these mid century modern lamps of this era and style. And all of them are brass all over. This one is unique in what we see with a mauve color to the base and pole, up to the knurled height adjustment. Then there is a short brass section between the height adjust knob to the lamp shade. The patina is nice. No notable defects except the base has a little corrosion to the edge and on the small brass plate on top. These bases typically see a lot of abuse, so for this style lamp, it does look really good. From there we Electrically restored this light because we got it home and it would not hold contact to stay on. ... moreWe replaced the light socket with the exact replacement. A Leviton 3 way 240 volt socket with twist switch. It has the original knob so you could not tell anything has been changed. We also put a brand new long 10+ foot lamp cord on it to reach behind a couch if you need to. The entire electric components have been restored to Original Specifications, even the USA made Leviton brand name of light socket that was used. This lamp came from an elder estate sale. Among many great mid century modern, Eames Era furnishings. We never see these colored versions of this lamp, so I couldn't get across the room fast enough! I didn't knock anyone down. No worries. Do note, this is a three way light socket as it originally came with, so you have three levels of light. It is fully tested as new and works fantastic and should serve someone for another generation or two. There are minor signs of age. But for use or display, in very clean and good condition. The glass shade under the metal shade is broken and repaired. This could be replaced. But appears to be fine with the metal shade on it. You can not see the repair. We did not repair this. It is as found. There is a scratch on the stand post. See photo. There are minor signs of tarnish on the base. There is an extremely small dent on the metal shade. This is picking this lamp apart. This is a rare piece of American art in a floor lamp! Appraised at nearly $1500 two lamp companies in Twin Falls and Boise. Idaho and also internet appraised by a lamp collector in Connecticut Made in the mid-40's to 50's stands nearly 6' tall@ 64.5" Weighs in at nearly 30 Lbs. The lamp stands in at 64 1/2" tall. the lamp is made from steel. And the cord is also vintage but like new. There are a type of inverted Fleur De Lis' that are up-turned on each side. these are believed to be made of cast iron. As is the base immediately above them. The entire lamp is coated in a original rustic red"rhino-lined" type finish. The shade is a very nice and custom piece; It is made from steel and hand-hammered and welded together. Then. The maker used twined steel wires and twisted them(similar to barbed wire, but without ... morebarbs) and welded them all the way around the upper and lower base of the shade. The shade is genuine rustic and the inside has been painted white to better reflect the light from the bulb. The lamp topper is a solid brass(rustic coated) Fleur De Lis screw mount. You are looking at A mid century modern floor lamp with spun Lucite shades. The overall height of the lamp is 51” The base is 12” wide. The shades are 12” tall and about 6” wide. The lamp has 4 walnut leaf shaped ties. The lamp has four spun Lucite shades. Two with green accent and two with yellow accent. The lamp has a three position switch, all four on, just two on and off. One of the green shades has a 1-1/2” peace of the accent missing, as you can see in the pictures. Other than that, this lamp is in great shape and functions perfectly. There is a plastic plant that fits into the base and runs up through the center of the lamp. I had never seen a lamp like this and was very pleased to acquire it. It is an Eames Era. Bauhaus or Deco- BRASS FLOOR LAMP- with 2 DOUBLE CONES and a WHITE MARBLE BASE. It stands an impressive 59 1/2" Tall as in Picture#1. The 2 BRASS DOUBLE CONES are 14 1/2" Tall, 6 1/2" in Diameter at the Wide Opening and 5' in Diameter at the Narrow Opening. The WHITE MARBLE BASE is 12" in Diameter& 1" Tall. Each CONE is ADJUSTABLE as pictured and can move 360 degrees around and 160 degrees up and down and has a TWIST LOCK in Each to Hold the CONES in Place. It has a 3-way switch in the CENTER BRASS HUB which allows 1 CONE, 2 CONES or NO CONES to be Lit. It takes 2 Standard Light Bulbs in EACH CONE- 1 up and 1 Down. This is a beautiful beige/Tan colored lamp with chrome and black accents. I t features two(2) Danish modern. Bullet shaped lamp shades attached to a long black center pole attached to a heavy base. Each shad e measures 7 1/2" long and 5" in diameter each with it's own switch so they can be independently l it. The shades are mounted to a multi directiona l swivel bracket that is mounted to the center pole itself. The fixture measures approx. 52" tal l. The lamp is in Very Good Vintage Condition and fully functional with only superficial scuffs. Scrapes and paint loss consistent with its age and handling. The lamp base and cord are in very good plus condition with only minor age wear and no repairs- the shade has some small dings.

Measures 47" tall to top of green diffuser shade x 14" at widest accroos arm to shade x 10" wide at the heavy iron base. Can be adjusted from 12" tall all the up pole to 37" tall. Nice thick rich patina to brass. Surface scratches& tiny dings in shade present from age& use also. I see a tiny 1" hairline crack in brass pole at base. Does no harm, as lamp is very sturdy!
