Antique, Victorian mirror. Bamboo frame & bevelled glass. Small size- very nice.
This is a lovely chunky little mirror in fantastic original condition. It measures just 6 inch square- the same size as most decorative tiles; it has a thickness of 1 inch and is surprisingly heavy for the size.The frame is thick bamboo and the bevelled glass has a good solid look to it. The silver/mercury has black dots in it as usual with antique mirrors. I actually have a pair as can be seen in the fourth photograph but this auction is just for one, please contact me if you are interested in the pair. Very beautiful antique American Victorian sardine caster or server. In silver plated Britannia metal& intaglio carved glass, made by Simpson, Hall, Miller& Co, the castor decorated in relief with roses, morning glories and asters, in the Aesthetic Era style. Rectangular shape with domed cover and fish finial. The original cut glass container, decorated with fish and aquatic vegetation carved into the exterior, sits on a table-from base, cradled in four ornate foliate corner brackets, the table having an apron embellished with a rinceau frieze of flowers and foliate forms. Attached to outset pilaster supports, each topped with a cone. Contemporaneous engraved owner’s monogram on cover. This is a great example of the highly fashionable mix of decorative motifs and naturalism of the Aesthetic Era. It is quite a hard-to-find example of ... morethe work Simpson. There is a small rectangular piece of ebony missing from the underside of the handle as seen in image 4. The handle can be turned round so this piece is on the underside and not seen. About 9.5"across and 8"high with handle and 2 7/8" high with handle down. Marked Pairpoint Mfg Co. Quadruple plate and 1230 with the"p" in a diamond mark on its bottom. Very nice condition. It's tarnished. But I leave polishing to the discretion of the buyer. Antique Victorian papier mache small, lidded pot with mother of pearl inlay
This lovely. Little pot is made of papier mache and has been inlaid with tiny chips of Mother of Pearl. Dating to the Victorian period, this item was probably intended for a lady's dressing table. It is in reasonably good condition for its age with no loss of inlay but there is a chip from the base(please see image 7 above) and the surface of the exterior has dulled with age. The interior remains shiny and bright. The pot is probably English and this form of decorative item was very popular in the Victorian home ~ however, these pieces were vulnerable and relatively few have survived in good condition. The pot stands just over 6cms in height and 8cms in diameter at the rim. Further images can be supplied upon request: any questions gladly answered. Pair of Antique Aesthetic Movement Ebonized Wood Picture Frames
These are two matching antique black ebonized wood from the Aesthetic Movement era. The wood pieces are etched with floral designs filled in with white. They are in good condition with some light wear. They measure about 9 1/4" tall and 5 1/2" wide. The picture opening measures about 5 3/4" X 4" They do not come with glass.

Signed only with impressed 1243 and definitely of European origin(most likely Germany) The large Aesthestic or Sessionist Vase is deep Cobalt or Navy Blue. The neck of the vase has a high gloss glaze and the lower portion of the vase has a matte glaze. It was decorated with white enamel beading/tube lining decoration and gold. It has solid"wing" type handles. It is a very nice antique vase from the continent. CONDITION: Excellent although you need to know there is wear of some of the gold and there is a teensy rim shallow rim flake/fleabite. Measuring 15" x 9" the protrusion from the wall is variable from 4" to 6" Made from hammered brass in a wonderful floral design featuring stylised sunflowers. Fruit and leaves in the Aesthetic Movement style There are several concealed registration lozenges within the design. Dating it to 1876 There are some etched marks to the top reverse corner that I cannot distinguish. You are bidding on an Outstanding and Unique Antique Aesthetic Movement Handmade Peacock Tapestry Backed by Antique Wooden Panels Dated by an expert to 3rd Quarter of 19th Century There is what appears to be water discoloring all around on the cloth backing, but all the area of the peacock tapestry seems good with just splendidly vivid colors! see photos- There are also a few little bits missing here and there from the wooden frame itself, e.g. bottom left corner. And possibly some pegs over the top of the frame where the turrets are, but of course that has nothing to do with the atual tapestry! Wooden Frame measures approx. But aside from that and normal wear and crazing, there in good shape, I see one small flea bite on rim of one cup, see last picture, otherwise no other chips or cracks. As Is. Please refer photos& ask questions. Marked with words"Patented Oct 24. 1865 66" PLEASE NOTE: AS IS" Antique condition Being sold for display use only! Very old 19th Century item with damage. Used with wear and flaws. Finish shows scratches. Dark tarnish, small dings and dents. Note scratches, dark marks, tarnish, and small dings. I did try to enlarge several of my photos and I avoided the flash because of glare it produced. I will not polish and will let that up to the buyer. Design is ornate with tiny details ... moreof three part leaves in etched line relief. Somebody said it is"Ivy on the Vine"and the leaf motif goes around both sides. The interior of lid, top(spout neck) and the underneath bottom are still shiny. Handle is very gracefully curved and securely attached. The lid has detached on the lip back edge of the top and has a ding on rim edge. The hinge is straight and doesn't show damage and that surface is rather smooth so I think it could possibly be repaired by a jeweler. The finial on the top of lid looks like a stylized"fleur-de-lis" finial. Even with these issues it still fits nicely on the pitcher. I did toy with the idea of having this repaired to use as a serving piece. I also was approached by an artist who makes small tabletop fountains and bird feeders from antique silverplate. but I think it should go to a collector. My grandmother used it for maple syrup when she served crepes& pancakes AND only REAL Canadian Maple syrup would do for her family! She and I shared of love of horses and a portion is going to support OTTBs. Very dainty and pretty. It really is nicer in person. BUT AGAIN please be comfortable with the flaws I have mentioned.

Bands of flowers, grape vines with bunches of grapes, Dragonflies, fish, a rabbit and a variety of plants. Stands 7 3/4"s by 3 3/8ths"s wide. Lower rim has a small ding coming from underneath.

Antique Brownfield& Sons. England brown transferware wash basin and pitcher in the Sanga pattern. This piece is from the Aesthetic Movement with beautiful floral designs and interesting lines& forms. This movement was all about the appreciation of nature and travel to exotic lands during the Victorian period. The pitcher measures approx. 10" tall and the bowl measures approx. 15" diameter. PITCHER CONDITION- I see a faint hairline in the top inside of the pitcher. It measures about 1" long and does not go through. You cannot feel it if you run your hand over it. I did include in the photos. But it is very hard to see. I also see a line on the front of the pitcher in the center just above the leaf design. There is some"smudging" in the transfer on the handle from manufacture which is common in wares of this ... moretype. Transfer looks very good all over. Some light age crazing all over. I see No chips, cracks or repairs. WASH BASIN CONDITION- Does have some staining on the inside of the bowl as you can see from the picture. I also see a light scratch on the inside about 2" long. Some areas of transfer smudge here and there. There is also a rough area and some pitting( on the basin edge from years of use and/or storage. Transfer looks good with some areas of light wear all over. Age appropriate crazing as well. Marked and dated on bottom. However, I cannot read the date. I would put this around mid to late 1800's. Overall very good antique condition I try my best to find everything for description but please look at all my pictures and use the zoom and enlargement feature. As they are part of my description. In items this old please expect signs of age- nice addition to any collection! THE FINE PRINT- please read- I DO NOT ship out of the country. Sorry. Made in England by Powell. Bishop& Stonier c. 1880s in a polychrome version of the MIAKO pattern. I believe the ceramic is ironstone or similar. Measures about 7 3/4" tall. There is a lovely raised enamel dot detail along the edge of the fan. CONDITION: Colors are vivid and bright. A few irregularities to the ironstone which appear to be"as made" The irregularity shown in the photo at the top rim is not a chip; it is under the glaze as made. Additional photos below. A popular pattern for Flow Blue collectors. Not quite perfect, but certainly displays well the cup has hairline damage as shown but still solid. The saucer is effectively perfect but does exhibit an in-making factory flake that was glazed over& fired. Saucer measures just under 6" across. Cup is paneled& stands 2.75" high. Although there is only 1 it would also make an incredibly decorative door stopper. 19th Century Brown Transferware Vase with Oriental Motif- Aesthetic Movement - A
This Transferware pitcher. Or vase, narrates a story of a man who turns a water bird into a beautiful woman. The first scene is of a water bird with long legs standing alone in the water. As you turn the pitcher, a man appears kneeling by the pond in front of the bird. In one hand he has a little box and in the other, two feathers. The third scene shows that the bird has turned into a beautiful woman whose kimono and posture resembles the bird’s. A swallow and other birds rise up behind her. The details on the handle and around the mouth are painted to resemble the weave of a basket. There are water plants and cherry blossoms painted on the neck and between the scenes. The shape of the vase is particular. It has a rounded bottom and a straight neck which flairs slightly outward. The handle is set almost at a right angle which counterbalances ... morethe roundness of the vase. There aren’t any signatures or stamps on the bottom of the pitcher. Gebruder Heubach Double Candlestick Figurine - Boy w/ Asian Costume - Aesthetic
I'm pleased to offer this unique and quite lovely figural double candlestick by Gebruder Heubach. The piece is bisque porcelain and depicts a young man in an Asian influenced costume. With a conical straw hat and floral motifs. Stands 9 1/2" tall. And is 5" wide. Base is about 3 1/2" wide and 2 3/4" deep. Candle cups have an inside diameter of 5/8" Impressed markings on the back with and overlapping G and H. Along with a smaller DEP, and the number 8613. On the inside of the base it is also marked in pencil with what looks to me like the numbers 51 and 528, or maybe the initials SI and SLG, or some combination of those. The one significant condition issue is that the figure is missing its left hand. A previous owner has placed a small bouquet of silk flowers in its place. And it looks very good this way. In fact, ... morewhen I first found the figure, it took me a while to realize that he wasn't supposed to be holding flowers and that it was a very clever repair. I have provided a close-up of this. The coloring is in quite good condition. With the only some minor wear and loss to the brownish color on the base. Beautiful transfer printed Aesthetic Movement cup and saucer - Burgess & Leigh
A stunning piece of Aesthetic Movement pottery The two parts consist of a deep saucer and a coffee mug/ can or possibly a tea cup It is decorated in a brown transfer design of swallows and foliage in amazing detail The saucer measures 5 inches at its widest and is unusually deep- about an inch. I imagine that this was possibly to allow drinking from the saucer. The pattern has two swallows above a stream. The pattern edged with bulrushes and a butterfly. I had thought originally that it was off centre but the print has been centred to allow the pattern to climb the sides. I would imagine that the pattern was used for flatter objects such as plates. There is a shallow ridge running around the centre of the saucer to position the cup. The cup features just one swallow- again above the stream with butterfly and bulrushes. The cup is 2.25 inches ... moretall and 3.25 inches in diameter across the top. I imagine that it was made by Burgess& Leigh- there is a B&L impressed mark to the reverse of the saucer but strangely not the cup Beautiful condition- the is a tiny fleabite on the rim of the base of the cup which might have been made in manufacture. I think that this is quite a rare design- I have trawled the internet for a design like it to no avail.

This is a fabulous antique Cruet set with 6 etched. Cutglass bottles. The stand is stamped on the bottom"Reed& Barton# 3758" IT revolves and stands a good 18&1/2" in height. The largest bottles are 8&3/4" and the smallest one is 5&1/2" A wee treen mustard spoon is original and a treasure in and of itself. The cruet has aesthetic decor and a fancy handle with twisted rope decor on two sides of the handles top. 5 of the bottles are all alike and one is different but all are etched and with cutglass designs in the glass. Ready to sit on the table and use. This cruet displays to great advantage.From the late 1800s or early 1900s.

Garfield Cup& Saucer Brown White Transfer Ware L S& S Gimson Excellent! Up for auction is a lovely antique Garfield pattern cup and saucer made by. I believe, the Wallace Gimson& Co. Lane Delph Pottery, Fenton, Staffordshire Potteries and this set was made around 1884. Lewis Straus& Sons of New York were a retailer of Gimson's pottery and many of these pieces were marked"L.S. S. This pattern has a wide band of Japanese floral cartouches with geometric flourishes and cabbage roses with some butterflies hidden in the roses. This may be ironstone but I really am not sure. The cup and saucer are both in excellent condition with no chips or cracks but do have some very slight overall crazing. The transferware and brown color are very clear and sharp. The cup is about 3 5/8" in diameter on top with the handle extending ... moreabout 3/4" from edge of the cup and is 2 3/4" high. There are a few very small stray paint marks on the outside of this cup from the factory. It is marked on the base with the following"Rd No 8844. Garfield, LS& the other S is missing-from factory) There is a very small stray paint mark on the base of this cup. Inside the cup on the base is a very small raised kiln mark-very minor. The saucer is about 5 5/8" across and nearly 7/8" deep. There are no chips. Cracks or scratches and only some slight overall crazing. This saucer has the full beehive mark with the following: Rd No 8844, Garfield, Trademark, LS.S. and an"A" There are a few small stray paint marks but these are also very minor. This is a really lovely Garfield pattern cup and saucer in excellent condition to add to your collection! All of my items come from a smoke free home and are packaged very carefully.
