This design is repeated on both sides. A brown scroll design with loops decorates the top edge. It has molded leaf designs where the handle joins the pitcher. It is an incredibly large feature piece measuring 13.5 inches it is ready to hang. Condition is good to fair with no cracks or structural damgage. The only flaw is a bottom base chip to the underside of the rim, this is only visible when the piece is upturned on a close inspection. RIDGWAY Aesthetic Polychrome Transferware Platter 14” Platter w. Birds Flora. DEVONSHIRE VICTORIAN AESTHETIC MOVEMENT PLATTER, DEVONSHIRE Pattern, c.1884. DEVONSHIRE has an Anglo-Japanese deep brown transfer pattern with birds and daisies and is a multi-motif pattern. The platter is an unusual elongated octagonal shape. The center cartouches display ducklings in one and mushrooms in another. The platter measures 14 ½ inches X 10 inches. The marks on the bottom of the plate include the stamping of RIDGWAYS and DEVONSHIRE(the pattern name) as well as Rd. No. 2302 and a printed 688. The trademark quiver and bow are also printed. The pattern was first introduced in 1884. The condition is very very good with no cracks or chips and mild crazing and some staining on the back with some very light staining on the front. The design shows the Victorian ... morelove of nature and the exotic. The Japanesque and Aesthetic Movement influences include the asymmetric design, the decorative geometric border of sunflower motifs as well as central bird motifs. The central cartouches include a tall cartouche with an Aesthetic jardinière and flowers and two roundels, one with a crested heron and the other with a branch of plum blossom. The inner background consists of an overall pattern of tiny repeated floral design. The outer border consists of stylized, geometricized flowers and leaves. Antique Christopher Dresser Jug Triangular Handle 1880s
Description On offer is an antique Christopher Dresser Design Inspired Triangular Handled Lidded Hot Water Jug. Dating from around the 1880s. It was originally silver plated but most of this has worn off. Underneath it is marked THOMAS& SON ILFRACOMBE EPBM(Electro Plated Britannia Metal) and the numbers 3106 4(as shown in the photos) It measures 8 inches(203mm) High. The original insulators and the button on the lid are still there the insulators are crazed. There is denting throughout I am not sure whether it was done during manufacture or not but these small dents catch the light beautifully. RARE Aesthetic Movement "Sudan" Brown Transferware E.Malkin/Tureen w/Ladle
Gorgeous and rare EM& Co(Edge Malkin) Aesthetic Movement fabulous"Sudan" pattern tureen with original ladle! The ladle has had a repaired or reglued handle. There are some lines in the glaze on the top and two lines in the bottom of the tureen that do not go through. I believe these are glaze crazes and that dirt and grime and become embedded. There is also staining on the inside of the tureen from use and age. The transferware is in great vintage condition(be sure to enlarge photos for a close look at this awesome pattern) There is a medallion in the center with birds on the outer rim and leaves on the inside with a greek key design in the background behind the leaves. The broder is a one log fence with birds on the fence and large groups of leaves spaced along the edge. The grime and stains can be soaked our with 40% hydrogen ... moreperoxide from a beauty supply store. Get the liquid only. Not the cream, and it may have to soak covered for awhile, but this method will not damage the glaze. The tureens in this pattern are extremely hard to find and the ladle is especially rare. The tureen is 6 1/2" in total height and about 9" across. We do double box all our fragile items for shipment and are always happy to combine shipping on multiple purchases. There's a little wear to the lacquer around the one hanging hole. There's some light accumulated dust and grime that need to be gently cleaned. Fine Aesthetic Period Bon Bon or Bride's Basket, Antique Silverplate by Wilcox
This very fine silverplated basket was manufactured by Wilcox Silver Plate Co. Of Meriden, Conn. circa 1880. The beautiful Aesthetic design runs all around the exterior and the center of the interior also has fine design work. The bail is anchored into two appliques of silveplated leaves at each side of the basket. The overall condition is excellent. There are no dents, breaks, scratches or monograms. The plating is still in extremely fine condition, with very light, normal wear. It is stamped on the base with the maker's name and"Quadruple Plate. It is also stamped"Gilt" although there is no gold to be seen. The overall measurements are 5 1/4 inch wide and 2 1/4 inches tall. The extended bail adds 3 1/4 inches to the height.

RARE Henry Loveridge & Co Aesthetic Japanned Christopher Dresser Tin Painted Urn
This is a stunning and rare painted tin twin handled vase/ urn/ stick stand measuring 15.5" tall. Marked to the base Henry Loveridge& Co. Merridale Works, Wolverhampton. There are possible links between Loveridge& Co and Dr Christopher Dresser, with its radical design, modernist shape and stylised floral decoration- it is most certainly in the manner of Christopher Dresser, if at this stage it can not be proven to be by him. This piece is circa 1880 and shows signs of age with some wear to the paint work and a small hole to the base which can be seen in the images- certainly wear that you would expect for a piece of this age. It is beautifully marked to the base and is a phenomenal example of early modernism.

Stamped in several places is the registered design number'188700' The base carries the H&H mark along with a four-digit number 8072. The Birmingham silversmiths of Hukin and Heath were associated with Dr. Christopher Dresser.to whom this naturalistic style of work is often attributed. Dish measures approx. 8" long from handle to handle by 4.5" wide. Slight wear commensurate with its considerable age though I have to say that this item is in super overall condition. No damage. Small Aesthetic Period English Creamer
This sweet little creamer is 4" high. As you can see in the photos the top and spout are very narrow. Color ranges from a dark red to a light pink at the bottom. The outside of the spout is molded to resember a flower. With gold edge accents. There are a couple of pin point marks where the paint has worn away. The side of the vase features handpainted black leaves accented with gold and light blue leaves. The flowers are white with blue and gold stamens. Around the curving base there is an in mold designed to resemble tree branches. The oval type base is 2 3/4" x 2 1/4" A charming little piece. I ship Priority. Victorian Brilliant Cut Glass/Crystal Bowl This is a stunning Cut Bowl. From the weight which is over 2kg I would guess at it being Lead Crystal, the cut certainly has the feel of cut lead glass. The pattern is very intricate and has a zipped edge. Im not sure of the pattern name for the cut on the base. Overall condition is excellent. There are a very few light flea bites to an odd area of the more heavily cut pattern areas. They not are really noticeable to the eye unless you hold the item very close, as a guide the are around pin head size. To small to photograph. Antique CAST IRON Desk Paper Weight Clip Letter Holder - AESTHETIC Eastlake
From a local estate- Nice old cast iron paper weight clip- or letter opener made from cast iron with an Aesthetic Movement or Eastlake design. Measures about 4 3/8 long. Can lay on a desk or has a hole on the back side for hanging. It is in very good used condition. I did find that the right side of the clamp closes tighter than the left. It holds a single sheet of paper a bit loosely and does better on 2 or more sheets. I didn't wash this and on the inside recesses there is a bit of dust. You can see a bit of wear to the finish from use on the lower section but it really isn't obvious and doesn't take away from the piece. Very nice piece for your collection! PAIR Aesthetic Napkin Basket Plates England Transfer Gold Majolica ? Minton ?
Up for auction is a seriously over the top pair of Aesthetic era English plates. I believe them to be a product of Minton.both have the diamond English registry marks for 1877 and a number of impressed letters underneath. Which on one plate looks like'nton' Both also have pink hand written squiggles that I think are decorator's marks. The plates measure about 9&3/8" across. I don't know if these plates actually qualify as Majolica. But they do have a wonderful high gloss turquoise glaze on the basket area. The napkin part is grey and white and each plate has 3 black transfers of birds. Flowers and other wildlife. Each one of these is colored in with pink and gold.alas the gold has some large worn areas where the white shows through.probably from stacking.
