This is a magnificent Bride's basket from the late 1800's in silver-plate by Rogers and brothers. It is in good condition and the silver is still good(not like most pieces where the plating is gone) It has a wonderful aesthetic movement motif with the crane. Bamboo and cottontails. The bird feet give this piece a lot of class. It is 9 1/4 inches wide and 11 1/2 inches tall with the handle up. The handle is heavy and decorative. A real nice piece overall!

Wonderful dramatic handles covered in repousee flowers. The base is bordered by a design filled with nature. RARE AESTHETIC 19thC CHRISTOPHER DRESSER MAJOLICA CAKE/SANDWICH/SIDE/TEA PLATE
I have 6 of these plates. Which I am selling separately(one unfortunately has been broken) They were inherited from my mother-in-law a few years ago and I believe they belonged to her mother. I have taken some advice on this type of work and am paraphrasing what I have been told. Some Dresser ceramic works were made by Linthorpe but they were usually marked. There is only a triangle, a number 13 and and what could be an initial written in black on the base(see photos) I have been told that it could have been produced by one of the following: Minton, George Jones, Burmantofts or Ault but I don’t know for sure. The kiln firing marks(where the plate has lost glaze because it was attached to the 3 legged support) are evident on the base- this is NOT damage but happens during the manufacturing process. This is an incredible estate find. I just obtained this in the last week. This is the nicest. Most highly detailed, chased, ornate Pairpoint Bride's Basket I've ever run across in my career. It is a true work of art. This is highly chased, extremely detailed with wonderful Lovebirds& Flowers throughout the center basket area. The handle, and legs, are all floral. The legs are"Eiffle Tower-Like" with a gingerbread style border, that separates the top from the bottom. Be sure to see all the photos. The very center of basket has a large lovebird sitting on branch, in tree, surrounded by flowers. This is from the mid-to late 19th century. It has aged beautifully to a fine patina. I'm not sure if there's any silver left on it, but the metal is stunning, with no corrosion of any kind. The handle swivels up to carry, ... moreor lays down, when on a table. Details: 1 Soup Tureen with Lid and Ladle: This is an especially rare find being that the entire Tureen is intact with lid and ladle. The Lid is in good to excellent condition. Viewing from the top it is fully intact with no chips or scratches. Not visible but can be felt is a hairline crack that can be seen on the underside. This runs from the cut out for the ladle for about 2 inches. The transferware is overall clear and bright ... morewith a small area surrounding the pattern and bird art work that appears a little fussy and more than likely from manufacturing. The underside of the lid two small chips. One in each corner, the hairline crack as mentioned above and noted crackling to the glaze. Over all it should be noted that this lid is still in good to excellent condition. It is stamped with the Ridgways bow& quiver, Devonshire. Rd No 2302, Rd No 688. Length: 11& ½” ~ Width: 7& ¾” The Ladle is in repaired condition The handle has been repaired just above the ladle bowl. There is a crackling to the glaze and discoloration in the bowl and about 3& ½” up the handle. The discoloration gives off the appearance that it was caused by sitting in hot food/ soup being there is a definite line of where it ends. There is an embossed leaf design on the end of the handle. There are no other markings. It fits nicely into the tureen and gives the feeling that this is the original ladle that came with this tureen. Length: 11” Bowl Diameter: About 4& ¼” Bowl Depth: About 1& ¼” The Dish is in good to excellent condition with one discolored chip in the bottom of its bowl. The

lovely antique Aesthetic Movement pitcher 8" tall transfer print 2 diff. designs
I buy vintage linens at local estate auctions and also any lovely items that catch my eye. So I can offer you great items at a bargain price. This is a ceramic pitcher with great transfer-printed decoration. The style of its designs and the faux bamboo handle has convinced me that this dates to the Aesthetic Movement of the late nineteen hundreds. This pitcher is white heavy ceramic. Probably stoneware, and stands 8" tall; the base is about 4.75" in diameter, narrowing to 3.5" at the top. There is a handle with bamboo-style bands, and at the spout there is an inner strainer, as shown in the photos. The transfer prints are beautiful: on one side there are green leaves and yellow flowers of primroses, with sprays of smaller brown foliage under them. The other side features a large spray of campanula with blue cup-shaped flowers. ... morePlease use the zoom function to check the details. There is quite a bit of crazing in the glaze. Giving it an antique look. The transfers are worn away at the widest bottom of the piece, as shown in the second to last photo. The bottom has two initials, an H and an N, but no other identifiers for maker. Since this cannot be tied to a specific manufacturer, its value will depend on its looks and condition- luckily they are both good. It's a lovely piece which could be used as a pitcher, or to hold flowers, or as part of a shelf or tabletop vignette. I am storing this in my smoke-free home. Very cool antique table! Fantastic design and great patina! This type of table is out of my normal realm of knowledge but I recognize it as a unique piece w/ great style. I'll do my best to describe it so as to hopefully reach the buyer who is looking for something like this. Size: 28-1/2" tall. 18" diameter top. Wrought and cast iron base w/ marble top. Original green and gold paint. Great patina. Heavy.weighs 43 lbs. The underside of the marble top has corresponding studs that it rests on for placement. Base is mostly wrought iron w/ elements of cast iron(the feet. The lower and upper cross stretcher junction finials, the decorative female forms on the outside of each leg, and the top rim that supports the marble are all cast iron) Parts are held together w/ screws. No markings as to the maker. I'm not going to say it ... moreis one of a kind but it is a piece of art and unique to my experience in the business. It looks like one of those pieces that I might see when I stroll by some big city. High end dealer's booth at an antique show.and then I'll think to myself.how come I never find anything like that? For Sale is a stunning Tile made by the English Pottery firm'Minton' in 1879. This lead glazed Earthenware tile measures 6 inches by 6 inches and is transfer printed in underglaze brown on an Ivory coloured board. This piece of aesthetic pottery comes from a small range of only two tiles called'Cattle Subjects' and was hand engraved by the master designer William Wise. The signature of William Wise and the date 1879 can be found in miniscule hand writing on this piece. Please see picture7. This tile and its sister piece are very rare and highly collectable and can be seen in the British Victoria and Albert Museum and on their online collection. This Extremely RARE Christopher Dresser(1834-1904) SOLID SILVER Teapot was designed& registered on the 6th May 1878 shortly after Dresser returned from his trip to Japan. He visted Japan as official representative of the British Government. Exchanging the best examples of european designs for their Japanese equivalents. In four months in 1876/1877 Dresser travelled about 2000 miles in Japan. He was recieved at court by The Emperor who ordered Dresser be treated as a guest of the nation with all doors open to him. His design of this teapot is clearly Japanese Influenced& was the earliest modernist teapot design submitted by him to the firm of electroplaters"Hukin& Heath" His Pioneering study of Japanese art is evident in this design. It dates to c.1885 and is the stand only- there is no jar and no tongs. And there is plate loss to the uprights, see pics. Underneath the base is the trademark logo in a shield that reads. ROGERS, SMITH& CO/ MERIDEN CT/ QUADRUPLE" with the number, 204" alongside it. It stands 12" high and has a 3 1/8" diameter recess to accept a 3" diameter glass jar.

Each plate is the same blank although each a different pattern. They measure 8" in diameter with a scalloped or flower form rim. Several different markings on the back but all BWM& Co marks pre Cauldon. A couple are marked"Althea" which I think is referring to the Hibiscus pattern. The bowl is entirely hand made with a wonderful array of beautifully colored flowers and birds as stated its origins are French and its colorful design quite beautiful to behold. Antique Aesthetic period silver plate water pitcher and serving tray
Really good examples of Aesthetic period pieces are hard to find. This set is dated April 22 nd. 1880 and is a presentation set to a Mr. Bray. Both the water pitcher and the serving plate are beautifully detailed with scrolls and flowers and a rim of small plants that is repeated on the border of the serving tray. Both pieces were manufactured by Rogers Smith of New Haven, Connecticut. Since the Aesthetic art movement was only prevalent from about 1880 until about 1890, there are not very many examples of this particular style left nowadays. The pieces are clean and in good condition for their age: the top of the water pitcher has some loss of plating that shows up when the pitcher is held at a certain angle. The center of the serving plate also has some tarnish. The overall effect of this set is however very striking. Please note that the ... morespout of the water pitcher has a bear hunt on it and also walruses! Measurements are: Serving tray: 15 ¾” by 12” Water pitcher 11” handle to spout and 12 ½” tall. Notes: This ... moreis a FANTASTIC example of an American Aesthetic Movement brass fern or calling card stand. I have had this Bradley& Hubbard stand twice before but the two I was lucky to own had tiles in them. In a way. This all metal variation seems slightly more successful with an entirely unified design. The tiles that I had were either Minton Scenic or Vieillard geometric and imported by B& H. With little to do with the stand design. As you can see in the pictures, the decoration in the square metal top and base is in harmony with the rest of the stand design sharing related motif elements. The surface decoration throughout, whether it be pierced or in relief, is superb, and what makes this Aesthetic brass so fun! This probably could be polished to a nice shine but I thought it best to offer it as-is and let the buyer decide. I know that this stand is by the renowned firm. Bradley& Hubbard because I found it illustrated in an engraving of their 1885 trade card reproduced in the Brass Menagerie Exhibition Catalogue. Middletown Silverplate 1800s Aesthetic Movement Pitcher with Antler Handle
Simply put: the design beauty of this 1880s Aesthetic Movement Middletown Silverplate Pitcher is too beautiful to throw away. it needs a new home for display. Flower arrangements, collection; or to someone who sees the potential and has it re-dipped and re-silverplated. The silverplate"antler" handle. Raised floral band around the center, paneled balloon base, distinguished monogram(appears to say, HC" topped with a fleur-de-lis all combine to create a pitcher with a grandeur that time cannot erase. The silverplate finish is revealing large"splotches" of base metal showing and there's even a ding or two. At one time, this pitcher was a symbol of affluence and grandeur to 19th owners. Obviously. Interestingly, this shape was also made at the Watcombe Pottery factory circa 1890. As you can see in the images. It does have a dent to the side, which could probably be hammered out, if desired. A rare antique Aesthetic Movement English blue and white transferware tea set. Comprising a teapot with lid, creamer and sugar bowl with lid. The pattern is"Victor" by J. H. Davis and features windmills and a Japanesque motif of flowers and vines on lattice. This set is in excellent condition! Nice, white and clean with no chips, cracks or repairs. Very gain glaze crazing on the sugar bowl only and a negligible firing split inside the creamer- this is a very small, underglaze manufacturing flaw. You never see complete sets like this in such perfect condition. An antique Aesthetic Movement English blue and white transferware platter. The pattern is"Victor" by J. H. Davis and features a windmill and Japanesque flowers and vines on lattice. It is in good condition with no chips or cracks. There is fine glaze crazing throughout. Which in some areas has allowed light discoloration to leach in. One of the craze lines on the back is ever so slightly more pronounced, but does not go through to the ceramic body.
