This is very typical of old time farm ingenuity years back when money was tight and basically the only way to have some things was to make them. It is from heavy metal and welded seams. Very well made, unique, however it looks to be unused or at least someone cleaned it up really well. I would have no problem sitting this anywhere in the house due to its cleanliness.Someone took a long time to make this and even though somewhat crude compared to modern equipment, this has its own charm. There is a very small hole in one side as shown in a close up photo. The top is completely functioning and has four measures for powder from 2- 2 3/4 drams. The trunk bears the maker's mark(badge) on top over the lock: Henry Likly& Co. Makers. Rochester, NY, Established 1844, Trade Mark This is a Flat Top trunk. Which makes it particularly good for use as a coffee table. This is an older restoration and all the original hardware and materials are still there. The refinish is not perfect and still maintains much of the same appearance it did as when Henry Likly first delivered the trunk. It has been in a home that used it everyday and never left in storage not being used. This trunk originally came with Leather Straps. Fragments of which still remain. This trunk has Wooden(oak) Slats. Refinished and stained. The ... morelock is open and appears to be functional. But we don't have the key. The exterior surface of the trunk is fabric over wooden construction. The fabric is intact with a few rips or scuffs. The fabric has been sealed to stay bonded to the wood. The corners and some of the edges are metal bound. The metal has been recoated and looks great with the pings and dings from being around a 100 plus years. Even the frosted font is pretty with the flower and leaves wheel-cut ribbon pattern cut in. The old fashioned dress shaped glass stem sits on a three tiered iron base with a gold-like edging that reminds me of an old black and gold Singer sewing machine. There are brass end pieces and font collar that the#2 Queen Anne burner sits in. The flairing ruffle top chimney is believed to be original to the lamp as is the base and font. It stands almost 21" overall with the chimney in place. There were no flaws discovered. There are adapter burners that are electric and use regular light bulbs available. HANDMADE ANTIQUE FOLDING KNIFE ~ wooden grip ~ looks very old!!
This is a really neat old. Handmade knife. I'll explain all I know about it, and it's up to you to see if you think it's worth owning. I got it from a lady who had purchased it at an antique store in Sherwood. Oregon. The store's proprietor said it came from a man who was one of the town's founders. Who knows? The knife opens and closes nicely. When fully opened. The knife"clicks. There is a loop that one must pull to"unlock" the blade from being in it's open position. A pretty interesting design! At first I thought the loop was for hanging the knife or for a more decorative purpose. The blade is sharp. And the knife weighs two ounces. Not wanting to do any damage, I have not tried at all to clean the blade so I don't know how well it might be polished.

I know nothing about the horn other than what I’ve learned from my research which seems to identify it as a Model T Ford car horn. It is not a reproduction as everything in the old home dated pre 1940’s to the early 1900’s. The rubber ball is missing as is part of the original mount. Otherwise it seems to duplicate its counterparts. It is in good antique condition with the expected tarnishing. Scarring of the brass, and some dings, but I will let the photos speak to the horn’s overall condition. I blew on the open end and the room rocked with a loud and penetrating sound. This is a rare find. A screwdriver this old that is still laser straight. 9 times out of 10, a screwdriver this size would have been used as a pry bar and bent. Not this one. Please see the pictures since they are the best description. If not for the missing paint on the handle, it would be perfect. There are awesome looking tiny dimples all over it as if it were hammer forged. The visible wood grain in the handle looks great also. The flat head is as straight as can be as well. Vintage INGRAHAM 8-day Mantle Clock circa 1900 I have been gently caring for and using this elegant clock for a while now. Wind it up and it will keep very accurate time through 8 days and strike a gentle"gong" on the hour and a soft"ding" on the half-hour. Manufactured by The INGRAHAM Co. in Bristol. Connecticut around 1900, this clock has all its original parts and all work well. The original key winds the clock spring through one keyhole and winds the chimes through a second keyhole. An adjustment wheel on the clock face can be turned to speed up the clock or slow it down. Three decorative pillars. With faux marble at top and bottom frame both sides of the clock face. Delicate carving adorns the wood near the base and top. A"brass" ring surrounds the glass face cover. Ornate metal feet support the clock. A ... moredetailed lion's head. Ring hanging from its mouth, is mounted on each side of the clock. Cosmetically the clock is in very good condition. From the black enamel wood"Adamantine style" case, to the porcelain clock face, the glass face cover, the minute and hour hands, the metal feet, the metal lion's heads, and the inner clock works. The minor exceptions are: one foot is slightly loose, the"brass" ring shows some wear, the clock face has some a few darkened spots, and the wooden back is worn. You can see all this by viewing the accompanying pictures. The case is 14.25" wide(17" foot to foot) 5.25" deep(6.5" foot to foot) 11.25" high. Seikosha is the beginnings of the Seiko watch company. Japanese Wall clocks are of excellent quality. Japan sent many clocks to Germany around 1900 when a new trade law was enacted. The people in Japan copied the favorite American and German clocks, improved upon them, added some Japanese flavor and sent them to us and back to Germany! They were received favorably by the people of the world. These clocks were made very well, as well as keeping very good time. When the Japanese copied them they also made many improvements. This particular model is beautiful unique wall clock in GREAT 100% ALL ORIGINAL condition. It looks superior. The dial is signed! Listing is for an antique Singer sewing machine. Plate shows Model#AL984248. This is believed to be a pre-1930 machine. I am not sure if the pedal was the original with this machine. But it fits and works perfectly. The machine itself has been cleaned and tested by my mother, a long-time seamstress. The original spindle was already missing when I purchased this machine, so I have no idea what happened to it. I'm sure one could be purchased without too much trouble. Antique Dagger From Georgian Area Of Russia Looks Handmade Very Old Knife
This is an old dagger I don't know much about it. I bought it 20 years ago at an antique auction. I have found several daggers on the internet somewhat like it, most were a bit fancier. So, I think this dagger is at least 200 years old maybe older. I cant figure out what the handle is made from, it looks like Camel bone(did they have Camels in that part of Russia) Old Georgia was by the Black Sea Surrounded by Persia, anyway I'm just guessing, there are some bug bites on the handle. The wood scabbard was custom made for me by a knife maker in Portland, Oregon I think he did a nice job. The knife measures 13 1/4" long overall. The blade is 9" long. One very nice condition. Old vintage trouble light, made by the McGill MFG. CO. INC. VALPARAISO, IND. SAFETY VAPOR PROOF, CAT. NO. 3005. The cage structure is brass or brass plated– it has not been cleaned to any great degree so hard to tell. This light has the aluminum reflector shield present/intact. All the markings are on the undercarriage of the handle and on the bottom ring(can be seen) of the brass cage…included one picture for authenticity. The glass dome(was cleaned) is embossed with“McGill” and is etched with“1954” and a round symbol with HR in the center. Max wattage on the inside of the base states 60 W. Weight is 3.5 lbs and measures 16” x 5” Lighted lamp pics show a 40watt bulb– fyi. It’s original with exception to the cord/plug which was removed and replaced due to gnarly/dangerous condition of original. Rewired using vintage ... morecloth cording that measures a little over 7 feet. Meant for in-home lighting. Not wired with polarized plug and should not be used as its original intent of a safety light. Certainly can be rewired by buyer. Please see all pictures for clear visuals. I found this ladle in a box of vintage kitchen ware from a yard sale so I really don't know what it is. It appears to be be cast of some sort of metal but is not heavy enough to be iron or lead. It weighs 4.4oz. and is about a foot long. It has a dark patina that is splotchy in places. I don't see any makers mark. If you have any questions that cannot be answered by the photos. 1920 ANTELOPE HOOKED RUG GREAT COLOR- $350 or BO. Just look at the vibrant colors in this hooked rug! It has a wool on burlap construction and is in excellent condition. Very graphic and visually stimulating to the eye. It features an antelope with bright green foliage in the middle and red designs around the perimeter. This is the only antelope hooked rug I have ever seen. I would guess the manufacture date would be from 1900 to 1930. It measures about 32" x 20 and looks fantastic hanging on a wall. It has silk loops on the top back for hanging and display. It is not one of the commonly seen mass produced. Machined rugs of the 1940's or 50's. A good condition Mall Hornet Chainsaw. Turns over, compression feels good, seems to be complete. These saws are somewhat hard to find, especially in repairable condition. Quite a bit of history in this one, the yellow and red paint job indicates this one is from the transition era from Hornet to Mall. Hornet was bought out by Mall. Antique Rare Hand Made 4 Post Doll Bed VERY SOLID! Looks Pre-1930's?
Beautifully crafted very old antique hand made 4 post doll bed with turned posts and legs. Note bed slats with beveled edges in pics! Approx Dimensions are 30"x30"x18" I bought this about 1 yr ago for my then 11 yr old grandaughter to use with her American Girl doll. Was going to take to MD for her but@ 12 yrs old she just recently decided that she was all grown up now(influenced by friends I think) and dolls are for little girls. Her dolls are in storage so this item has to go. Will make a beautiful addition to some little girls collection or an afficianado of collectible dolls. The bed is very solid with no breakage ar cracks and not a wobble in the construction. Note that one of the posts is a little off and does not stand perfectly straight as the others. A imperfection from time I guess.
Antique Teacup- unmarked- looks English
Small tea cup White with Pink ring in middle towards top of cup. Gold accents look as if much of it has worn off in fact I think cup had a lot of gold inside and out originally. No marks- in good shape for its age. Nice piece.
GILBERT ANTIQUE GOTHIC MANTLE CLOCK BEAUTIFUL ORIGINAL LOOKS AND RUNS GREAT!
This is an EXTREMELY BEAUTIFUL example of a SOLID WALNUT Gilbert Mantle Clock in SUPERIOR NEAR ALL ORIGINAL condition. It was made circa 1915 and runs great! It is a very classy mantle clock in need of a warm loving home. It has a signed"Gilbert Clock Co" 8 day time and strike movement which chimes the half hour and counts the hours on the hour on a cathedral gong with a sound that is very pleasant and dignified! Has a very pleasant ticking sound as it runs. The case is beautiful! The case is made of SOLID WALNUT(not veneer) in a beautiful style. In OUTSTANDING condition with its beautiful ORIGINAL finish. It must have been made by a master craftsman by the quality of the construction. The case has no extra screw holes(showing that this is the original movement, dial, etc. and the original screws that are tight! The dial is in SUPERIOR ... morecondition and is a correct replacement! The only part of the clock not original. The dial pan and bezel is original. The brass around the dial is original(also has a nice antique patina) The fancy hands are original. One thing I really like is its original back door! The door catch works great. The back looks as good as the front! Complete with a pendulum and its new double ended key! The small end of the key is to adjust the clock for slow and fast on the dial and the large end is for winding the clock. This way you don’t have to take the clock down off its shelf to adjust it for slow and fast. The clock measures 13 inches high. 6 inches deep and 9 inches wide. These antique clocks amaze me- could you imagine any other consumer product still working after nearly 100 years! And the truly amazing thing with proper care they will work easily past the next 100 years! The original guarantee was for one year. I wonder what the maker would think; a hundred years later his product is still working like new and listed on the world wide internet! Antique Clocks are a Fine Investment.
