It is European in origin I believe but it is not maker marked. This is a nice piece of antique pottery. It stands 3 1/2 inches tall and has a diameter of 6 3/4 inches. Antique Victorian Taxidermy Real Turtle Shell with Brass Insert Bowl
Offered- An American Victorian Real Taxidermy Turtle Shell with a solid Brass Bowl Insert. Taxidermy of this nature was very popular during the Victorian era. This Bowl/ Dish would have probably held sweets- or possibly pins on a dressing table. The piece measures 6 inches by 3 inches(as its widest) and stands 3 inches tall to the top of the turtles head. The brass bowl/ dish insert is 2 1/8 inches in diameter. The shell is beautiful- shades of brown. Amber and cognac. The turtle has glass eyes- both intact. These pieces were made by skinning the turtle and then filling the skin with a plaster- of-paris type material- so they are very fragile. There are indications of old breaks/repairs on the legs. These are rather rare. I have seen them made into Bowls- such as this- Ink Wells. Candle sticks, etc. They are getting very hard to find. T& R Boote Brown and White Transferware Ironstone Bowl"Tournay" Offered for auction: An antique brown and white transferware ironstone bowl. Richly decorated by T& R Boote(Burslem, England) The bowl is marked" Tournay" and has the registry number 33645. Which dates it to about 1885(see thepotteries.org) It is also marked with"Royal Premium. The heavy square bowl measures 9-1/8 inches and 9-2/8 inches wide across the rim. 5-3/8 inches across the foot, and 2-6/8 inches high at the slightly curved rim. It is in good condition, especially given its age. There are several brown spots on the inside base(see closeup photos) and a large hairline that has browned in one corner. There are numerous small brown spots, and a fair amount of browning on the exterior(particularly on the curved corners) The exterior also has ... morenumerous dark marks, which looks like scuffs from wear(and which did not easily wash off) The bowl is structurally very strong. On the bottom is a very clear crown and shield mark for Tournay Royal Premium/ T& R Boote/ England/ Rd No 33645. There is also a raised or embossed lozenge mark on the bottom. Terms. Beautiful shallow bowl is hand painted with deep purple blackberries and colorful leaves on a blended ground. The art is exceptionally well done an d it is signed by the artist"Brown" The scalloped and beaded border has a wide band of rich old Roman gold. It measures 7.75" wide and 1.25" deep. It is in very good condition with the exception of a small flake on the back. Otherwise there are no chips. Cracks or wear to the gold and it displays beautifully. Marked O&EG Royal Austria and was produced by the Oscar& Edgar Gutherz porcelain factory from 1899-1918.

This gorgeous piece was made for the domestic market and bares the"maple leaf" mark used to denote pieces for that market. The colors used on this piece were well loved by the Japanese and were most popular in that country. This piece is made of very high grade and heavy porcelain"1 pound 8 ounces unboxed" and the form is very pleasing with the open handles to each side and the beautifully shaped body on footed base. This gorgeous piece features a deep pink color as the primary on white both on the rim and in panels on the interior. Up for Auction is a Vintage/Antique White with Blue/Gold/Red Trim Design Limoges Covered Serving Dish-Old Abby Pattern Made between 1920 to 1938. Not sure of the exact year. All I could find out was information on the Green Porcelain Mark which they called M40b was used from 1920 to 1938 until the factory closed in 1938. This dish is in Beautiful condition for it's age. There are no cracks. Chips or scratches. There is a small mark on the bottom of the dish, a very small spot on the gold that is missing which you have to look very hard to see it, also a few small spots, one under the handle, one near the handle. The rim of the lid is rough and slightly discolored- please see photos. The bowl measures 7 12" from rim to rim. The inner part of the bowl measures 5" accross and is 1" deep. The cover is 5 1/2" accross and ... more1 3/4" deep. The edge of the cover is rough, I don't know if it's supposed to be that way or if it's from use. Antique English Staffordshire Bowl by PW & Co-Venus-Mulberry Color c. 1850
Here is an excellent example of English Staffordshire pearl stoneware. This bowl was made around 1850 and is in great condition. The condition is shown with the attached photographs. There are a couple manufacturing glitches on the bottom which are visible on the photos.The color is Mulberry and it was made by PW& Co. I think"Venus" is the pattern. The color has a blue-lavender sheen in the light. I do not know if the color has faded over the past 160 years but it is still very nice. There appears to be no crazing. Probably unusual for a piece this old. The bowl measures 6 inches in diameter at the top while the base is slightly over 3 inches wide. This is a very nice antique fruit or nut dish. MASON’S IRONSTONE BOWL Up for auction is a lovely piece of ironstone. This square serving piece is called a"S weet M eats" bowl and was made by Mason's in England. It is in the pattern called" MANDARIN" and is made out of ironstone. Ironstone china is usually predominantly white or off white and sometimes features decorative floral. Fruit and scroll patterns in a solid color such as blue, black, red or orange. Rare ornate pieces with several colors are also sometimes seen. This lovely little dish features flowers on both the inside and outside of the bowl trimmed in gold paint. The colors in this dish are orange. Navy, pink, green, blue and yellow. The bowl is in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. It measures 4 1/4 inches square and is 1 1/4 inches tall. You are bidding on a breathtakingly beautiful Covered Bowl. It measures 8 1/4" handle to handle& 8" to top of finial. This piece was probably made by Samson& Co.1873. Paris France. Samson& Co. at one time used the Servers mark& re-created replicas of Sevres early pieces. The lid is reticulated and has flowers and fruit in the center, the bottom has double handles and is encrusted with flowers and fruit and has gold trim. Antique Chesapeake Haynes Real Ivory Pitcher and Bowl
These American transferware pieces were made by David F. Haynes& Co. sometime between 1882 and 1890. Haynes bought the Chesapeake Pottery in Baltimore in 1882 and produced three lines of majolica: Clifton ware. Majolica and Real Ivory(this set) The vase has an ivory background, raised ribs around the top section, and has a red/brown transferware floral design around the bulbous mid-section. It has the triangle mark with Real Ivory Balt(for Baltimore) initials in the center of the triangle. CONDITION- There is one crack on the bowl of the piece. Of which I have provided a picture. The gilt on the pitcher is quite worn, however, considering the age of the pieces, they are in good shape. SIZE- The pitcher stands approximately 5" tall. 2 7/8" across top opening, 5 1/2 inches across including the handle, about 3 3/4" across ... morethe bulbous middle and 2 3/8" across the base. 18th Century French Faience Spongeware Bowl France
This is an 18th century piece of French faience. The bowl measures 11.58" across and is 3.5" tall. It has cracks that go all the way through. Cracks that don't, some crazing and some chips around the top edge. It has not been repaired and is being sold as is. The old paper taped to the bottom was there when I got it. The major cracks are at 11, 1, 2 and 9 o'clock and I've tried to show them in the pictures. The top edge has wear almost all the way around. Happy to answer all questions. Antique Moore Brothers Rare Porcelain cherub center piece England 1872-1905
Very Rare. Moore Brothers produced decorative porcelain between 1872-1905. The company operated as Bernard Moore from 1903-1915. They produced Chinese style glazed effects and other products of the era. They were located in Longton. England. Here we have a superb example of Moore porcelain centerpiece bowl. This piece is in very good condition except for some slight roughage around the edge of the bowl(which may have been made like this) and edge of the trunk that is holding the bowl. All commensurate with the age. Other than the roughage it is great. I know that this is wordy, but I want to tell you everything that I know. Please ask all questions before you bid.
