This Madonna bust is called. Mother of Sorrow" It measures approximately 5 inches from side-to-side and about 9 3/4 inches tall. The bust is made of porcelain with underglaze decoration. This bust has some uniform. Estate find! This auction is for a lovely rarely seen GOLDSCHEIDER USA figurine"Juliet with Doves" manufactured in Trenton NJ circa 1940. This lovely lady is reminiscent of Shakespearean times and is beautifully detailed. It is 11 inches tall by 8 inches wide. I am offering this item as is because there is an old repair to the back wing of the dove on Juliets' shoulder and it appears wider than it should be with a slight discoloration and dull finish. In spite of this the figure is exquisitely done in the best tradition of Goldscheider porcelain and deserves to be seen and enjoyed. Designed and signed by Peggy Porcher, named“Old Virginia” This is very hard to find and the real deal. My starting bid price is $59.99. The last one I found on the Kovels site was in 1996 and sold for $125. This figurine has four(4) marks from Goldscheider’s on the bottom. The figurine is stamped by Goldscheiger with Original written and arched above Goldscheider. Which is written arched above a big letter G and above the words Fine China. The second mark is Old Virgina by Peggy Porcher(her signature) The third mark is a red circle stamp with Goldscheider INC in it. The last stamp is two leafs or flowers(see photo) This beautiful glossy porcelain china figurine depicts ... morea beautiful woman in a pink antebellum period dress. With green fringe on the layers, and a floral bouquet design down the front below each fringe. She is standing with her hands holding out her dress at the sides as she greets someone. And is beginning to bow. She has her hair up and is holding a bouquet of flowers in her right hand. The figurine stands 9 inches tall and she is 6 and one half inches at the base. The title“Old Virginia is an interesting play on words since she is far from“old” But no doubt she is a very pretty Virginia woman straight out of“Ole Virginia” in the Southern antebellum period of days gone by. The figurine offered is in good(near mint) condition. She is fully intact with no chips, cracks or any signs of repairs. She has normal crazing on the shoulder area simply do to age. This piece has been in our family for many years. And more than likely was purchased through the Goldscheider factory in Trenton, NJ. A Viennese factory(est. 1885) sped to the top of European ceramics makers. Figures and vessels of faience and terracotta as well as bronze and alabaster, all of top quality in respect of form and workmanship, were created in the Historicist, Jugendstil and Art Deco period styles. Dimensions: 15 x 10 x 11 inches MAKER'S MARK: Goldscheider USA over initial G Goldscheider produced high quality Art Deco ceramic in Vienna Austria with branches in several other European cities. They fled the Nazis in 1938 and began reproduction in 1940 in Trenton NJ with the mark GOLDSCHEIDER USA. In 1940. The mark changed to Goldscheider-Everlast Corporation. Eventually they shut USA production down. Returning to Austria in 1950. EXCELLENT CONDITION. Some crazing due to age. 9.2" tall woman figurine. Very delicate piece in good condition. There is no factory mark, but there are some numbers on the bottom: impressed 4.26, 19 and blue 31. Here and there the glaze is a little bit cracked, and there are two small chips near the base. Nothing else to mention.

Goldscheider OLD VIRGINIA Figurine Designed by Peggy Porcher Original Fine China Antebellum Style Figurine U p for sale is a Goldscheider original. Designed and signed by Peggy Porcher, named“Old Virginia” This is very hard to find and the real deal. This figurine has four(4) marks from Goldscheider on the bottom. The figurine is stamped by Goldscheiger with Original written and arched above Goldscheider. Which is written arched above a big letter G and above the words Fine China. The second mark is. Old Virgina by Peggy Porcher(her signature) The third mark is a red circle stamp with Goldscheider INC in it. The last stamp is of two leafs or flowers(see photo) This beautiful glossy porcelain china figurine depicts a beautiful woman in a pink antebellum ... moreperiod dress. With green fringe on the layers, and a floral bouquet design located on the front below each fringe. She is standing with her hands holding out her dress at the sides as though she is greeting you. And is beginning to bow. She has her hair up and is holding a bouquet of flowers in her right hand. The figurine stands 9 inches tall and she is 6 and one half inches at the base. The title“Old Virginia" is an interesting play on words since she is far from“old” But no doubt she is a very pretty Virginia woman straight out of“Ole Virginia” in the Southern antebellum period of days gone by. The figurine offered is in very good and fine condition. She is fully intact with no chips, cracks or any signs of repairs. She has normal crazing simply do to age(see photos) This piece has been in our family for many years. And more than likely was purchased through the Goldscheider factory in Trenton, NJ. Goldscheider started their American factory in Trenton in 1938 and my family lived in that area for many years and visited the factory several times. I have been unable to date this piece. Antique Art Deco Porcelain Keramos Wien Half Doll Figurine Goldscheider Dresden
This is a gorgeous large Austrian Keramos Wien figure of a beautiful lady in her gown! She is a large 11 1/2 inches high and has beautiful coloring. She is in overall excellent condition. The only flaws to mention are a few very small nicks on the bottom of the base. Barely seen on display unless you know where to look, only mention for accuracy.
