MAINE THAT HAVE THEIR ORIGINAL LEATHER BINDINGS AND GIVEN THEIR AGE ARE IN REMARKABLE CONDITION. These 77" long wooden skis belonged to my mother who used them during her college days in the 1930s. They are rich in detail and design with lovely carving that accent the curved tips and continue down the length of the skis. The label from the Paris Manufacturing Company is worn, but visible on both skis. The now defunct company was founded in 1861 in Paris, Maine. It was best known for making sleds and skis. SEE PHOTOS! The soud is powerfull and projects and carries extremely well. The bass strings are rich and sonorus and the upper strings have bright ringing top notes. It is easy to play and speaks very quickly. This is a very nice old violin bow that was recently found with a violin in a case. The violin was very broken but the bow looks interesting. It is stamped" A VIGNERON A PARIS" upside down at the handle part of the stick. The stick. I am told, is" pernambucu wood" and octagonal in section. The bow is a bit worn but NO BREAKS ON THE STICK. GUARANTEED The metal parts are silver and the grip plain leather. The overall length is 74.5 cm. The weight is 59 grams on the local post office scales. I understand that if"A Vigneron" is the maker it could be valuable! I have no way of telling. It is supposed to be a good playing bow, being strong and straight with genuine horse hair. Opera glasses marked Lemaire Fabt. Paris. On both sides of Paris is a bee insignia. They are in working condition. These opera glasses show their age with character. The body looks to be brass. No parts of these glasses are magnetic. The original material decorating the body has deteriorated, showing the brass underneath. The large right glass lens has snowflake-like crystals, I'm unsure if this was decorative or aging but it adds to this piece. Take a look into these pictures. Item has push up or kick up base that not only gives the the bottle a unique look when filled. It also acts as a good stabilizer. The glass is an attractive aqua color. The glass is thick. Embossing on the two shorter panel sides. One side has embossed ED PINAUD PARIS with a floral graphic in the center. The other short side reads NAJOUTER FOIQU ALA SIGNATURE and then in script ED PINAUD. The base reads BOTTLE PROPERTY OF LOTZ CO REGISTERED. The bottle itself stands 6-1/8" tall. 2-1/4" wide and 1-3/4" deep. Bottle is fairly clean with very minor interior residue. Appears to be a two mold process. I see two vertical seams that do not disappear. ... moreThe seams fade but continue all the way to the top of the lip so there wasn't an applied lip. Very primitive bottle breakoff on base. Only one thick. Deep ring mold impression mark on base. There are a few straw marks and several tiny to medium sized air bubbles in the glass. There is a chip on one of the large sides. Top right of the arch. It is likely from either the factory or from a long time ago as the chip looks like it's part of the piece, so to speak. Antique apothecary jars. Pair of painted porcelain apothecary jars that are made by H. Vignier. These are handpainted jars with tropical palm trees with snakes around the trunks. Both have turtles on them. They are signed on base“H. VIGNIER 16. R.J.J. ROUSSEAU, PARIS” and in a raised cartouche is embossed“GOSSE A. PARIS” They measure 10-1/4' with lids, 7-1/2' high without lids, and base diameter is 4-5/8' The jars are without damage but the paint has wear as seen in photos. The lids each have hairlines as seen in photos and one has a large piece broken on the inside rim, that has been repaired. There is a scratch on the lacquer which you can see on photos about in the middle of bell pipe. There are a couple minimal pin sized pings near 1st valve top cap on bell pipe but you really need to look for those closely. Found little wear and scratches on the 2nd slide. Everything is original! I don`t see any repairs on it. Just look at at this highly skillfully done 3rd slide trigger. You can use 4th or 5th finger to tune. During my 1000+ of various trumpets sold ebay career for now over the past now 11 years I have never seen one of these Antoine Courtois piccolo models in any condition! Serial number is stamped in unusual spot facing player on the 1st valve casing( see photo full serial# is visible there) This piccolo trumpet represents quality of horns which used to be produced by French makers normally available at the retail stores unfortunately no more! Description Exceptional French 19th century Old Paris porcelain figurine decorated by Jacob Petit. The figurine is modeled as a beautiful young woman gathering flowers. It is well executed with intricate detailing in the face. Hands, and feet. The handpainted design in her clothing is exquisite, very realistic, and is beautifully done in soft pastels. She appears to be holding the flowers in her dress and collecting them in a large basket. She is wearing a lavender vest with gilt detailing on the bodice, over a striped and floral dress with a pale white apron. She is standing on an ornate rocco base. Very endearing. Dimensions 9 7/8" tall and 5 1/2" by 3 1/2" at the base Identification The bottom has an underglaze blue Jacob Petit mark. J.P. Condition The figurine is in very good overall antique condition.
