I am not sure how old it is but it could very well be from the day! 1970’s It is in nice condition no missing tiles and motor purrs quietly like a kitten. I dont have a case to carry it in but if I can find one of those insulated bags you can buy at any grocery store to keep stuff cold I think that would end up making a good convient storage compartment to transport in. This is a nice ball. I never really paid attention to how much work went into making this ball but upon close inspection I it might have been loving handmade by a pretty good craftsman because I couldnt find any markings on it and although most( 98% of the tiles look like they are exactly the same size there are a few tiles cut smaller to fill in gaps. I have 5 full boxes containing 24 tiles each and 1 partial box of 15 tiles. Each full box covers 3 square feet. The boxes are worn but the tiles are unused and beautiful. I weighed the total lot. 16 Vintage Architectural Decorative Mid Century Modernism Mirrored 4" x 4" Tiles
Up for auction are 16 vintage mirrored architectural tiles recently found at auction in the suburban Philadelphia. PA area. Each tile measures approximately 4" x 4" in size. Each have a gold pattern of stars and diamonds in a repeating pattern. They are all found in good used condition. The only condition issue to report is a chipped corner on one tile and a rough side on another. It has a nice 50's look and would be great as a splash back in a mid century modern setting. At one time, they may have been self sticking but you will need an adhesive to mount these now. Will produce a very nice look where a mirrored accent is needed. These tiles are 6 in x 6 in. The first tile was broken at some point. And glued back together. There is also tape across the back. I looked these up and the best I can tell is that they are Ucagco and are signed by the same artist. They have not been cleaned. There are two small holes in the top of each one and I assume they are for hanging.

Please read through for condition issues– they aren’t perfect. Six(6) Vintage H&R Johnson Round Tile Trivets. The each measure approx. 3 ½” in diameter. There are three(3) of each style. The base color is white. And they are decorated orange and green. They are all marked. CONDITION: They appear to have been previously mounted. There is either an adhesive or varnish/shellac residue on the back of each piece which has browned(or started off brown) Green border tiles: o 1) has a small chip on the bottom edge which is slightly visible from a side view. It also has a very small flea bite nick on the bottom edge which is hardly visible(see pics) o 2) has a chip which is visible from a side view. I also felt one small flea bite nick(see pics) from this flea bite there is a hairline crack which has caused some chip loss to the painted area ... moreon the top(see pic) If this were a single tile I wouldn’t list it. But since it is a part of matched set, you may want it regardless. When looking at the main picture. It’s in the bottom left tile(about 5 o’clock) o 3) no found chips. Nicks or flea bites. Orange border tiles: o 1) has a small chip which is slightly visible from the side. I also found two flea bite nicks(see pic) o 2& 3) no found chips. Nicks or flea bites. I have made no attempts to chemically remove the residue on the back. They were only hand washed in warm. Sudsy water and not soaked. I did not want to jeopardize their integrity. Here is an awesome Vintage Catalin Mah Jong Set ~ It comes with 5 racks with brass chip holders on the end and all 152 tiles: There are also 2 die and one Rotatable wind disk with window. In the window of this Bakelite piece you see a number rather than a Chinese wind character. I think that the racks are Catalin and the tiles are Bakelite. All are in EXCELLENT condition with the exception of the brass chip holders have some oxidation on them. The wooden"alligator skin" covered box is in very"competent" condition but has seen a few better days. The snaps work perfectly and it has a Lucite handle. Boy. this game is HEAVY! These tiles were found in storage in an older home. I'm honestly not sure of the age but they would certainly look great in an older home. Based on the original box that they were in, I would estimate th at they date from the 1940's-50's? They are not marked. And there was no information on the box. The re are 80 pieces total. Vintage Turkish Tiles Tree of Life, Animals in Mural Wood Bound 20" x 20"
Here is a beautiful tile mural from the mideast with beautiful colors and images. I believe they are older tiles. Maybe from the middle of the last century or so. The reason I say that is because there are signs of wear on the edges. I would personally rather see that as I love old tiles, but we are all different. I have pictured one nick on the top front that could easily be covered over, but for the sake of honesty, I am leaving it that way for the moment. You could fill it in with a touch of caulk and be done with it. The colors are vibrant, oranges, blues, yellows, greens, browns, cream. You can almost feel the designs are the glazes are thick and raised up slightly. There are four colorful animals under the tree. The brown one has white on it- maybe part of the design, maybe some glaze missing. There are nine 6" x 6" tiles ... morein this mosaic and it is framed in dark wood. The measurement of the entire piece framed is 20" x 20. It has a wire for hanging. It is quite heavy and shipping will be high as the weight and the fact it will need an oversized box add up. This is 3 pieces of. What I believe, is Mexican Hand-painted Wooden Folk Art, Unsigned. Many pictures on the largest 7x8" look hand painted on tiles with both sides a repeat of the other. Tops ones surrounding the framed mirror are different. The 2 small paintings- 3 1/2 x 3 1/2" have a picture each. All surrounded by wood and covered with glass. On back of the large one's mirror is a piece of material secured by small nails. I haven't opened this. All three have a back hangar to be hung The three appear to have been painted with goldish paint and areas have wear. One small nick on wood of larger frame. Auction features one square of soft pink ceramic tile. It seems hard to get a good picture of the color. But in words, this is a very light pink pastel color(baby pink) This was made by American and has the numbers 271 on the back. Retro. 1950s.this was recently removed from a bathroom and was reclaimed for future designer use. Great for Shabby Chic as well! Tiles are quality checked for nicks. Breaks, and heavy scratches, and are nicely packaged. This tile measures 4.25 x 4.25. The surface is nice and shiny. With a bit of grout on the edges(minor) and can probably use a good cleaning. Vintage 24kt SOLID GOLD Mosaic Italian Tiles Elle Decor 24k yellow
Vintage 24kt Solid Gold Mosaic tiles discovered in Hawaii. Lovely Mosaic Tiles confirmed tested 24KT Solid Gold on one side. Fused to crystal on the other side, hand cut into aprox 3/4" squares. The old boxes say"Made in Italy" A local Maui tile contractor remembers installing them. He states that they are vintage circa 1991. Overstock from the construction of the Grand Wailea Hotel in Maui. A Japanese business man spent over 900 million to build the most incredible hotel on Maui. They were used to decorate the main swimming pool. They were hand set in a Greek Key pattern. Elle Decor Magazine recently featured a custom home in Italy in which these gold tiles were photographed as one of the highlights. Due to the high cost of 24kt gold and the cost to hand cut. They are no longer manufactured. I have at least 170 Linear Feet ... moreof these 24kt solid gold tiles available for that unique and upscale installation. Estimated to cost is over 20.00 per tile if available for purchase in todays market. We are selling them per tile. The way they were set at the Grand Wailea is as follows: Each tile was set with the 24k gold side down in morter. They left a small space between each one to allow for the variance in thickness. Which is a slight + or- from the average thickness of 3/16" The crystal side up added more luminesence to the installtion. In my opinion, I think that they could be set without grout, as the morter could allow to make up the small differences in the tile thickness. It is however alot easier to set with a tiny grout line perhaps as small as 1/16" Also. I think they could be set with the gold side up as the gold has been fused to the crystal, But. In my opinion, they look better with the gold side down. Two Vintage Hand-Painted Glazed Red Clay Art Pottery Tiles ~ California style? Approx. 3.875" square. And 5.5" square. Larger tile has crazing and visible edge chips. The smaller one has a shallow edge chip, but I think it was where the glaze snapped off when the piece was made. The smaller one is a bit warped. Both have glaze imperfections from when they were made. I do not add any handling fees; I try to charge you what the Post Office is going to charge me. Authentic Vintage Catalina Island Tile Top Table Description and Item Information Up for sale is this genuine. Vintage Catalina Island tile top table. Please excuse the glare in the photos. This table is larger(and heavier) than the average California tile top table. It has a hexagonal shape. The top is approximately 26 1/4 inches long across the points, and 23" wide from flat side to flat side. It stands about 17 1/4 inches tall. The table top has seven red-orange tiles. The wooden case has a painted finish, which appears to have a darker glaze or patina over it. The wooden table has a Moorish design, with turned legs that have stretchers; decorative finials descend from the arched side panels. This early California table would be a wonderful addition to a rancho or Spanish revival decor. Identification This vintage table is unsigned. ... moreBut the tiles are guaranteed to be authentic Catalina Island tiles. The wooden case was likely built on the Island. The same tile arrangement, in green, is shown on page 147 of Coates' Catalina Island Pottery and Tile 1927-1937 reference. There are some numerical markings beneath. Condition The table looks good overall. One tile has a fine crack across it. As shown. There are a few small areas of minor edge flaking to some of the tiles(shown) The tiles show surface wear in the form of scuffs and scattered, light scratches. The grout has a few scattered cracks, with a few small areas of minor grout loss(does not detract) the tiles seem to be firmly set. The wooden table is sturdy. There is one missing wood finial, as shown in the lower left photo. The painted finish has wear and flaking. Please review the photos, and ask any questions you may have prior to purchasing. Up for auction are these four beautiful Hand Painted Vintage Tiles which I believe are California tiles. These 4"x4" beauts are in very good condition with no chipping but all have minor crazing. These have Red clay but none are marked. Please refer to pictures. Starting with the top right I went counter clockwise and took individual pictures so you could get a good look at them. I got these from an old man who says hes had them a very long time in storage and now they need to be seen and admired.
