Vintage US Navy Dental Corps Shoulder Boards- 1 Ensign(O1) and 1 Lieutenant(O3) shoulder boards each. This is not a matching set. This is for the collector of vintage Navy uniform items. The LT board is made by GEMSCO and has some corrosion in the on the back where the snaps are attached. The Ensign board is made by Hilborn and Hamburger and also has corrosion near the snaps. The snap on the ENS board is not operational. The gold piping is in very good condition and the insignias are intact.

This beautiful covered vanity dish is a creamy white porcelain that has a touch of glaze that brings out the woderful scallop like designs. On the lid are two applied pink porcelain roses and many blue/green leaves. This trinket dish is in wonderful shape with not a crack or chip anywhere in the dish. There is possibly one chip on one of the roses. But I am not even positive ... moreit is a chip. I used a loop and still can't tell for sure if its a chip or the folds in the petal. This is a 30 piece set. Plus the yardage, of delicate lace, the best guess I have is Limerick. It's off white, on net, with a striking design of bows and flowers plus delicate vines, and buttonholes stitches to the design. The placemats have a French knot instead of the buttonhole design. There are twelve. 5" rounds, six 7 1/2" round doilies, seven 10" doilies, five placemats, measuring 18" x 11 1/2" The yardage measures 110" x 2 5/8" wide. I don't see any holes, there is some scattered storage foxing to some of the pieces, nothing dark or distracting. I have a wedding gown on my list this week that incorporates the same type of lace in it's construction. I will also be listing two runners in a similar style. Volkstedt Porcelain Karl Ens 1930's Art Deco Piece Hand numbered on the bottom 4761 Entirely handpainted by skilled artisans at the Volkstedt factory in Germany. It beautifully captures the drama surrounding the lonely clown. As the story goes, this mime loses the love of his life Columbine, to the Harlequin. With his hand clutching his broken heart, he tilts his head skyward as if asking if the pain will ever go away. Dressed as a jester in a flowing white suit with a ruffled navy collar, he leans on his mandolin or guitar for support. Notice the palest of tint on his ears and graceful hands in contrast to the stark white clown makeup on his face. Typically a Pierrot is portrayed in just black and white with a splash of red or yellow to evoke a sense of drama to the piece. This is an exception. Up for bid is this beautiful woodpecker. It was designed by and manufactured by Ens. One of the premiere makers of porcelain figurines. The bird measures about 10" and most likely was made in the 1960's-70's. It is in great condition and has beautiful hand painted coloration. There are absolutely no chips. Dings, cracks or repairs to be found on it, but check out the pictures and decide for yourself. Shipping costs include insurance and tracking plus $1 toward the cost of packing materials. This compact vase features a hand painted landscape scene. The front shows an old mill sited on the edge of a river or stream and the back has an old farm house and silo. The colors are a soft blue. Graeme and shades of ivory or cream, accented with black and tan. The vase measures just 6" tall and is 2 1/4" wide at the base. The interior is fully glazed. As is the bottom. The mark features the back stamp KVE which was used from approximately 1898- 1972. I believe this vase probably predates WWII and may have been produced before WWI. For your consideration is a very nice bird from Karl Ens of Volkstedt. This is a beautiful cockatoo in colors of blue and yellow with a pink head. It measures approximately 7.5" high. There are a few issues with this piece and I have priced it accordingly. Two pieces of the yellow feathers on the head have broken off. Also. Looks like a small piece of one of the wings was chipped and colored in to be less noticeable. Other than that it looks fine and is still a beautiful piece to display.
