A very rare signed Wedgewood creamware sugar bowl with lid (sucrier), in excellent antique condition. This piece is late dates to the late 18th century. ... moreThere are no chips, cracks, or repairs. I see the usual light crazing in the green colored glaze, both on the lid and bowl. The bottom has the Wedgewood signature impressed in capital letters. There might be an additional letter, but it is very light and I can’t make it out, possibly an “ A.” Again, a very rare sugar bowl, cream on cream color, in unbelievable condition!!!

Rare 18th Century Antique Creamware Pottery Openwork Reticulated Chesnut Basket, c. 1770 - 1810. This 18th century pierced reticulated basket is a very ... moreearly creamware pottery example with beautiful cut-out designs to the outside rim. The designs alternate on every other scallop on the shaped rim. This basket is unmarked with wonderful applied twisted rope handles. Very rare form that shows the fine workmanship of the early pottery houses working with creamware pottery. This extraordinary creamware basket came to me with somefailing restoration near one of the handles. The restoration was discolored and flaking, so my wife carefully removed this second skin that had been applied to a "Y" shaped hairline crack near this handle. The buyer can choose to display the basket as it now appears. Or they can restore it themselves for a second time.

Antique Wedgwood Queensware open rim Basket Tray early English Pottery Creamware Good looking early 19th century embossed signed"Wedgwood" Queensware ... morebasket and undertray. It displays nicely with some rather light damage. The basket has two very tight hairlines in the bottom corners from stress(they follow the curve of the bottom at each corner end) They do break the exterior glaze and measure about 4-5" but are not obvious. The base rim has 4 small chips and the tray has one small chip on the back edge. Otherwise fine. For the record there is a tiny nick off of a stilt mark on the edge of the basket as made and typical and a couple of tiny glaze rubs as you might expect. Overall, better than what normally turns up. This is guaranteed first period and not a later production item. The tray measures 11&3/8" by 9&1/2" The basket measures 10" by 8" and the set is 2&3/4" deep. ANTIQUE EARLY 19TH C. CREAMWARE RETICULATED CANDLESTICK CANDLE HOLDER NR
ANTIQUE EARLY 19TH C. CREAMWARE RETICULATED CANDLESTICK CANDLE HOLDER NR, A lovely antique creamware candlestick with hand cut reticulated decoration at the base and applied flowers and leaves on the double handles. Probably England or France- ca 1800-1820 This candlestick is charming and all handmade. The body is creamware and the candle holder stands 11 3/8" high. The circular base measures 5" in diameter and has cut out floral shapes. It has double handles that are decorated with small flowers and leaves. These are incredibly delicate and very intricate. The holder is fluted from the top down to the base. There are no maker's marks to positively identify this stick. But I've seen other examples like it and they have been designated as English in origin. Condition Considering how fragile it is. This candlestick is in good ... morecondition. There are some small glaze flakes to the top of the holder and at the edges of the base. One of the leaves of the floral bouquets has chipped(9th photo) There is a spot under the base where there is no glaze. I think this is an old repair, although it doesn't fluoresce under a black light(see 10th photo at about 7 o'clock) Guaranteed authentic, this is a great creamware candlestick offered at no reserve. Payment and Shipping PayPal payments are welcomed. Buyer pays calculated shipping via USPS parcel post or priority mail With the exception of Sundays and holidays. Antique Creamware Oddfellows Odd Fellows Armorial Fraternal Mug 19th Century
This lovely old mug stands 3 5/8 inches tall and is 4 inches across the top. There is an applied strap handle. The design is painted over a printed design. Independent Order of Odd Fellows" is on the ribbon across the top. Amicitia Amor et Veritas. Which means Friendship, Love, and Truth" is on the ribbon under the armorial shield. There is a hairline that enters the design on the left side. There is flaking on the paint on the rim. The handle has brown spotting. That is the only damage that I can find. No marks to the base. As expected, and I don't know the maker. But it is British in origin. Probably post 1850, but again I can't say for sure. Might be a tad earlier. I guarantee everything that I sell. Satisfaction or a full refund! I value happy buyers. And try my best to please. If there is any problem, please email me ... moreso that it can be resolved. Thank you. I pack everything with care and ample backing boards. Bubble wrap, and whatever is required to insure that the item arrives safely. What you see is in the photos is what you get. Antique Plate - Two Girls on Lawn - Pearlware? Creamware? English?
Here is a very old antique p late that I found at an estate sale. It has no markings as to the maker. It depicts two young girls on the grass lawn. And it looks like one of the girls is eit her combing the other one's hair. Or weaving a garland of roses into her hair. It mea sures 7" in diameter. There is a little impressed mark on the back. Antique English Creamware Ceramic enamel floral decorated pottery plate c1790
English Creamware purple monochrome enamel decorated feather-edge pottery square shaped serving dish. The enameling on the molded shell-edge is feathered carefully into the grooves. This dish is decorated in the manner of James Bakewell. An enameler who worked for Wedgwood from 1769-1777. Bakewell's signature decoration was of flowers painted in a very relaxed and flowing style in either the rose-purple monochrome or yellow and black enamel colors. He did sign some of his work with either a"JB" or a"B" painted in overglaze purple on the bottom. This dish is unmarked and we date it to c1790. It measures 10 inches long and is 7 1/2 inches wide. You can see a very similar dish on page 33 of Robin Reilly's book, Wedgwood The New Illustrated Dictionary. That one, however, is signed with a"JB. At first the Wedgwood version was known as Queens Ware but as other competitors joined the hunt the material became known generically as Creamware. Of all the potteries which existed in South Yorkshire in the 18th Century. By far the most important one was the Leeds Pottery. While there is some debate regarding the founding of the factory-some say 1760, others 1770-it is with some certainty that one can say that its first pieces were being produced by the end of 1770. While creamware was what the Leeds Pottery was known for, they also followed the pattern set by Thomas Whieldon, of making a great variety of different types of ware. Factory marks are exceedingly rare, so as with this pot, you will find most wares unmarked. AN IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT SHIPPING: The domestic rates quoted a

RARE HUGE ANTIQUE CREAMWARE LIDDED TUREEN HAIRY PAW FEET SIGNED ENGLISH,FRENCH ?
I BOUGHT THIS LARGE STUNNING PIECE OUT OF A REALLY FINE OLD ESTATE SEVERAL YEARS AGO THAT WAS A COLLECTOR OF FINE EARLY POTTERY AND PORCELAINS FROM UPSTATE NEW YORK. DESPITE SOME FLAWS TO IT I BOUGHT IT AS IT IS EARLY AND A LARGE STUNNING PIECE THAT IM SURPRISED THAT BOTH PIECES SURVIVED TOGETHER ALL THESE YEARS. IT HAS IMPRESSED MARK UNDER BASE. IM UNSURE IF THIS IS ENGLISH OR FRENCH FAIENCE. I HAVE SOLD NUMEROUS ENGLISH CREAMWARE ITEMS OVER THE PAST SEVERAL DECADES AND THIS IS DEFINATLY THAT. IT HAS AN OFF WHITE COLOR AND HAS A MORE FAIENCE TYPE CLAY BODY. THOUGH IT HAS GOOD WEIGHT FOR ITS MASSIVE SIZE IT IS STILL MUCH LIGHTER THAN A IRONSTONE BODY WOULD BE. MARK UNDER BASE APPEARS TO BE FMC AND WHAT APPEARS TO BE AN A UNDER THAT. IM UNSURE OF THOSE LAST 2 LETTERS BUT F IS DEF THE FIRST. THIS IS AS FOUND AND UNTOUCHED WITH NO RESTORATIONS. ... moreA LOT OF HAND WORK WENT INTO THIS AS YOU CAN SEE INCISED DETAILS ON THE DETAILED CLAW FEET THAT HAS HAIR ABOVE THAT. SOME AGE GLAZE RUB WEAR. STAINS ON INTERIOR WITH SOME ON OUTSIDE OF BODY AT BASE OF BOWL. NO SLOT IN THE LID FOR A LADLE SO I BELIEVE THIS COULD BE A LARGE LIDDED FRUIT BOWL. IT HAS A VERY DETAILED PINEAPPLE FINIAL. A BIT OF WEAR AROUND ITS EDGES AND AT TIPPY TOP BUT NO LOSS TO THE BODY. ONLY ONE TINY FLAKE ON INSIDE LIP OF LID. BASE HAS GLAZE WEAR AT EDGE OF HANDLES NO CRACKS. MINOR INTERIOR EDGE FLAKE AND ONE VERY VERY SHORT TIGHT LINE ABOUT 1/2 INCH LONG. 2 FEET AT TOPS HAVE TIGHT LINES THAT I VERY STRONGLY BELIEVE ARE FROM ITS IN FIRING AS YOU CAN SEE SLIGHT CURVE INDENTS ON THOSE LINES THAT ARE CLEARLY GLAZED. AGE STAINS IN THOSE LINES JUST MAKE THEM SHOW UP A BIT MORE STRONGLY. EVEDENT CIRCULAR RINGS ON INTERIOR FROM BEING HAND CLEANED BEFORE GLAZING. SHORT FIRING LINE INBETWEEN 2 FEET IS ALSO CLEARLY IN MAKING. SOME MINOR GLAZE WEAR ON THE HAND INCISED COIN EDGE WORK. HANDLES.FEET AND FINIAL ARE SOLID CLAY AS I SEE NO BREATHER HOLES. IT MEASURES 14 7/8 HIGH TO FINIAL BY 13 1/2 WIDE INCLUDING HANDLES. IT WEIGHS 8 POUNDS. IN CERTAIN AREAS IN HAS SOME TINY

Antique Wedgwood Creamware Pill Slab American Eagle Transferware CA.1820 Rare NR
Here we have a most unusual. If not extremely rare, medical pill slab that is transferware printed in black with a highly detailed spread winged American eagle design. Under the eagle in a furled banner are the words"Real Warranted Wedgwood" At the top of the slab or tile is a transfer printed counting bar that was no doubt used for counting the pills. This piece is apparently made of heavy creamware and is matted and enclosed in a frame. The overall frame size is 9" X 10" and the mat window size is 6" X 7" This is ready to hang in your pharmacy or office where you display drugstore and medical or pharmaceutical collectibles. I have not removed it from the frame. Recently, I was reading a book called"A Guide to Artifacts of Colonial America" by Ivor Noel Hume(he used to be the head of archaeology at ... moreWilliamsburg and has written many interesting books on historical archeology) On page 210 he says"Later pill tiles c.1790-1860 were made in heavy creamware, and fragments have been found that are decorated on one end with a spread-winged American eagle in black transfer print. Intact examples are known with a printed ribbon below the eagle proclaiming that the tile is REAL WARRANTED WEDGWOOD. A Philadelphia advertiser was offering them as late as 1834. Other than some minor stains and an in the making black smudge above the eagle, this piece is in wonderful condition. I see no signs of hairlines, chips or repairs. Here is your chance to add a well documented English pill tile made expressly for the American market in the 1820's period- if not a tad earlier, to your collection. In forty years of collecting and dealing in English ceramics, this is the first one of these that we have come across. A copy of the Hume citation will accompany this offering. Please view my pictures for further condition. This auction will be No Reserve. Free shipping in the lower 48 states. Please contact me with any questions. Satisfaction guaranteed. Good luck!

Beautiful Cobalt & Cream 6 1/2" Antique Creamware English Pottery Pitcher
This pitcher is just so unusual and beautiful. I have owned it for years. But do not know much about it, other than it is antique and English. I believe it to be creamware. It has a hunting scene around the body of the pitcher, and the glazes and colors of the pitcher are just so unusual. The bottom portion is completely unglazed. The middle is slightly glazed, and the upper portion is highly glazed. The upper portions outside is a cobalt blue, while the entire inside is the natural creamware with a high glaze. There are no makers mark on this piece. The handle is very beautiful and has a leaf design, as does the bottom portion of the spout. Very unusual and beautiful. The pottery is very fine and not too thick. I would certainly date it to somewhere in the 1800's. Postage will be $20.00. Derbyshire, c1770 CONDITION: Restoration to glaze on rim and two minor hairlines secured. Some staining on the back and to one side due to wear. Measurements: 11" long x 9 1/4" wide A little background on English Creamware: Cream-colored earthenware first appeared in Staffordshire sometime between 1730-1740. Production later spread to Derbyshire and Yorkshire and then to Europe. In the 1760s Josiah Wedgwood proved his genius for developing a superior material from a standard formula. After much experimentation with the addition of cornish Clay and china Stone, he literally"invented" a new ceramic body. At first the Wedgwood version was known as Queens Ware but as other competitors joined the hunt the material ... morebecame known generically as Creamware. Small Antique Georgian Era Creamware Pearlware Teapot 3.75" X 5.5" Folk Art
Lovely little antique teapot! Single-serving size; approx. 3.75" tall X 5.5" spout to handle. I believe this is Creamware. And that it dates to the late 1700's- early 1800's. But after 25 years in the antiques business I have to say I rarely get anything this old, so please take a look at the photos and use your own expert judgment. There are small chips to the top rim, and a few on the edge of the lid. The spout has some teensy-tiny chips, more of a"roughness" to it, but not bad. It has very light crazing. Overall it is in nice, displayable condition. I do not add any handling fees; I try to charge you what the Post Office is going to charge me. I will be happy to combine purchases for the best shipping cost. Washington State residents pay sales tax. Payment is due within 5 days of auction end. Powered by The ... morefree listing tool. The intricate transfer-printed design is filled with Masonic imagery and features a verse from the Entered Apprentice Song that reads, “The World is in pain, Our secrets to gain, But ... morestill let them wonder and gaze on; For they ne’er can divine the WORD nor the SIGN of a free& accepted Mason”. ANTIQUE 18TH c. SIGNED WEDGWOOD LIVERPOOL CREAMWARE PITCHER JUG SADLER & GREEN
ANTIQUE 18TH c. SIGNED WEDGWOOD LIVERPOOL CREAMWARE PITCHER JUG SADLER& GREEN ANTIQUE 18TH c. SIGNED WEDGWOOD LIVERPOOL CREAMWARE PITCHER JUG DESIGN BY SADLER& GREEN From a fine local multi million dollar estate I was fortunate yesterday to purchase two great 18th century Liverpool Pitchers. I'm offering the smaller one of the two now. And I will offer the other one shortly. This one is actually quite sizeable itself being 10 3/4" in height. This pitcher from the evident style I believe is decorated by Sadler& Green, famous for their work. There is evidence of some exterior repair to the spout. I do not see any evidence on the interior of the spout having any repair so it must be fairly superficial. There are also a few small chips to the rim of the base, normally seen for a piece of this age. No cracks and it has a nice ... moresolid ring to it. SIZE- about 10 3/4" or 27 centimeters in height. SHIPPING within the USA via USPS Parcel Select or Priority Mail will be calculated to your location. Please use the drop down menu for which service is best for you. Antique Creamware Tureen Cover w/ make do handle/ Oriental transfer- 1800-1830
Interesting Creamware Tureen Cover. Probably Staffordshire, with old repair to handle. It appears the original handle broke off and was replaced with a metal handle. Probably in the early 19th century. This piece has the look and weight of soft paste creamware. Interesting Transfer of Chinese Harbor with pagodas. Ships, and two figures who may be European. Border with fancy oriental flowers. Likely dating to the early 19th century. I could find no comparables in my research. Besides old repair. In excellent condition with no cracks or chips. Measures 8" square and 5" high with handle.

Antique Liverpool Creamware Jug Pitcher early 19th century pottery naval scene
Antique Liverpool English creamware pottery jug or pitcher in good condition. The jug commemorates a naval battle during the War of 1812 which occurred on October 18th. 1812 during which the English sloop of war Frolic was captured by the American sloop of war Wasp. The front of the jug features black printed designs of the naval battle on the front with the caption: The American Sloop of War Wasp Captures the English Sloop of War Frolic Oct. 18, 1812. The other side of the pitcher has a black printed design entitled Arms of the United States, featuring the American Eagle and underneath the caption Under this we Prosper. Underneath the spout is another black design called Liberty. Please refer to all photos uploaded to Ebay. The jug is just over 6 Inches tall and is 7 ¾ inches wide measuring across from the tip of the spout to the handle ... moreedge. Condition is quite good overall with expected crazing to the clear glaze over the entire jug. And two observable hairline cracks. The first hairline crack is near the upper rim next to the handle. The hairline crack is about one inch long and is shown in my photos. The second hairline crack is inside the pitcher and I was not able to get a good photograph of it. It does not penetrate to the outside of the jug, and is about 1 ½ inches long in a Y shape. There is a tiny black spot near the tip of the spout. The bottom rim shows expected roughness or moderate wear from the passage of years. The base of the pitcher is 3 ¾ Inches across. The base of the pitcher in my photo has somewhat of a tan shadow but that is due to my photo, it is not shadowed or stained, it is a relatively even creamy color, I am not a trained photographer and don't understand why it showed up with this shadow, perhaps the lighting was not even. This antique jug is approximately two hundred years old and would make a lovely display for collectors interested in naval history or in antique British ceramics. Especially those made for the American market. I have made my best effort to descri

Antique English Creamware "Cauliflower" Teapot (as is) - no reserve
This is a cute little teapot. And although it has many condition issues, might be worth adding to your collection. It is early English cream ware, over 200 years old, and was made to resemble a head of cauliflower. The leaves are a glossy green, and the florets a creamy white. Now. The bad news. I think the lid is some sort of replacement, as it does not fit very well. The handle and spout have had restoration work, and I think the white area around the opening has had work as well. Inside, where there are holes to strain the tea leaves from going into the spout, there is a break. I don't have a blacklight. So just assume this has been damaged and restored, and we'll both be happy. In spite of everything, it is very nice looking as is, so I didn't want to go scraping off any of the repair work on this one. Not marked, but I have ... morebeen able to find similar examples pictured in books, describing this as 18th century creamware. With a low starting bid and no reserve. I'll let the bidders decide on this. Let me know if you need additional pictures or information. Approximately 6.5" long. 3.5" wide, 4.75" high Lid replaced. Other restoration(see description) Payment by PayPal. Unless other arrangements have been made. All items are described as accurately as possible. And may be returned if not as represented. They usually sound worse than they are, so you won't be disappointed when they arrive and turn out to be better than described! If not as represented, item may be returned(with my stickers intact) Please email before returning any item. If you have any doubts or confusions about an item or terms. Please email BEFORE bidding. Note that I am on the road frequently, so please email early and/or be patient, thank you. All items carefully packed. Most are sent Priority Mail.
