It is done in cobalt and gold with tiny iron red accents. I think this set dates to the early 19th century. I have several pieces of early English porcelain for sale this week. The last picture shows them all together- this listing is for the featured piece only! SIZE: The saucer is approximately 5.5 inches in diameter. The cup is just over 2.24 inches high. CONDITION: The set is in excellent condition. There are no chips or cracks. There is one TINY pin point size flea bite on the foot ring of the cup. Early Unmarked English Imari Plates, C 1820
A Pair of unmarked English Imari Plates. They date from Circa 1820. Plates of this period were often unmarked. The plates are done in the Japan style often emulated by the famous potters. Derby, Spode and Coalport, who produced beautiful porcelains in these Imari patterns and colors. The plates measure 8&1/4 inches in diameter and have a delicate Imari pattern, motifs that were fanciful and dramatic.This pattern contains a mythic lion like figure hiding in the edge of the plate, large gilded flowers, flowers and fauna done in rust red and cobalt blue and burnt orange and lavishly gilded. There has been some loss to the gilt on the plate and to the edges which is natural given the age of the plates.

Co) Burslem England Up for sale is the following: Five(5) c 1875 Antique hand painted Imari plates from Dunn Bennett& Co(D.B. Co) Burslem England. These 3 1/2" plates are in Imari style RECHERCHE pattern with vivid color. Orange and blue leaves curl through a background of stylized four pointed flowers on a bed of brown shade- the Bombay pattern. Gold brushstrokes highlight details of the leaves and the scalloped rim of the porcelain. Close observation reveals that the underglaze cobalt blue and overglaze gold are smooth and shining. And the iron red has raised texture. The craftsmanship is truly exquisite throughout every plate. As a typical practice at the time. Only one of the plate in the set is marked with D.B. From a local estate is this finely decorated 19th century English porcelain teabowl in the Imari pattern. It is marked on the back with a Derby-like painted mark which is shown in the Royal Crown Derby book by John Twitchett and Betty Bailey(page 214) as belonging to Stevenson& Hancock(1863– 1866) or Sampson Hancock(1866– 1935) Since the word England is not present with the mark. This piece was made before 1891 and is therefore 19th century. The diameter of the bowl is 4 ¾” and the height of the bowl is 1” Condition: very good with no problems noted. Porcelain Urn Shape Vases and Covers Early 19th Century ~ Gilded Imari and Cobalt Painting with Lion's Paw Feet ~ About 5 1/2" high to top of finial An early English porcelain pair of small urns and covers. They are decorated in an Imari pattern I have seen on Derby cups and saucers but can't identify. See the pics of the marks which are hand painted in red, and one smudged mark but can't say for sure which factory. They are very well done and in great display condition, one seems a bit larger in my photos but I never noticed that on display. The ground on the ribbed base and cover is a pale salmon or apricot. In excellent display condition; I can't find any faults on one and the other has had the finial reattached and probably the base; you can see the finial joint is darker and the gilding ... morearound the base is repainted. This amaziing English Porcelain Oriental/ Imari Type Serving Platter measures about 10-1/4" x 8-3/4" x 2-1/4" tall. A previous owner had identified the item as 18c. Coalport Porcelain. While i do believe it could be this old due to the greenish coloration of the porcelain itself(may be early 19th c. I am unsure whether they where correct as to its factory attribution. What is clear is that it is a nice bit of good quality early English Porcelain. Much of the gilding is gone while the enameling otherwise seems in good showing condition. The Platter/ Tray has reticulated edges as well as handles. This is a full tea service for four that includes 4 cups and saucers. A creamer, sugar bowl and teapot. The serving pieces all have handles and lids with butterflies on them. The set is decorated in orange, blue and green in an imari style with flowers on a stand. The cups are 2 ¼ inches high and 3 7/8 inches across including the handles. The saucers are 5 3/8 by 4 7/8 inches. The teapot is 5 ¾ inches high and 7 inches long including the handle and the spout. The sugar bowl is 4 ½ inches high and 5 inches across including the handles. The creamer is 4 ½ inches high and 4 ¾ inches across including the spout and the handle. The set dates to the mid to late 19th century. It is either from Wales or the Staffordshire area. A superb Antique English plate. Unmarked but probably is Coalport made in the first quarter of the 19th Century. The scalloped edge at each quarter was a signature design of early Coalport plates. But could be Derby or early Spode. The plate stands at 9&1/2 inches in height and is in remarkable shape. It is done in the glorious and vibrant Imari palette. Fine quality English porcelain soup bowl hand painted with large natural and stylized flowers in bright orange, red, salmon, green and cobalt enamels and further embellished with gilded veins to the leaves, etc. The edge is also painted shiny gold. Very much like Mason's Ironstone and other early 19th century Staffordshire wares. This 10 1/2 inch diameter by 2 inch footed serving dish features an Imari pattern and is marked"Real Stone Cina# 238" There is a little crazing and discoloration on the bottom of the bowl and the rim has three very small nicks or chips. Antique Tureen and Stand Welcome to my auction! For your consideration is a gorgeous antique pottery sauce tureen and stand. Hand painted Imari pattern. Underglaze cobalt blue with overglaze reds, peach and gold decorations. Made in England during the mid-19th century, around 1840. No discernible maker's marks, but this could be Davenport. The tureen and stand both have the number"2622" on the undersides. Impressed"6" or"9" on the tureen. Impressed letter"H" and number"4" on the stand. All pieces have other tiny markings and/or blue dots. The tureen's height is approximately 3.4 inches(8.5 cm) without the lid. Height is 5.75 inches(14.5 cm) with the lid. Width is 5 x 7.25 inches(12.5 x 18.5 cm) The stand measures 7.25 x 8.75 inches(18.5 x 22 cm) Combined weight is 1 pound and 14 ounces. ... moreGood Condition: No chips. Cracks, or repairs. The tureen has very minimal staining on the top rim and a few light signs of wear. No detectable glaze crazing on the tureen. The lid and stand both have light to moderate glaze crazing. The stand has light staining, and there are scratches or marks to the glaze on the underside edges.these marks may be glaze"skips" from the original manufacturing. The lid rim has a couple of slightly rough areas. None of the pieces show any significant paint loss to the decorations, just a few light signs of wear and small scratches. A stunning little set! Chinoiserie Chic (A): Small antique English Imari tureen & underplate
Although it's only marked as"Ironstone" in the underside of the platter. This small set bears all the characteristics of a Mason's piece. It's Imari ornamentation is rare because it includes a beautiful turquoise aside from the more traditional red, orange, green and blue. This I can assure: it's a focal point in any kitchen or any other room. However I should also point out that it seems the tureen was repaired at some time in the past, for a part of its interior is flaking, and there's a 2" long crack inside the tureen as well that seems to be a result of the firing( Height: 6" from the bottom of the platter to the finial of the tureen- width: 7 1/2" from handle to handle and 8 3/4" for the platter- depth: 5 1/2" for the tureen and 6 1/2" for the platter.
