This is a beautiful 19th Century Mandalay period Bronze Buddha with hands in Bhumisparsha Mudra. Sanghati robe over one shoulder, elongate ear lobes set behind hair in ushnisha. The Statue still has its original enamelled inlaid eyes. The Buddha is sat on integral plinth this is a typical style for this period. The Bronze has a fine age patination in very good condition for the age of the Buddha with no damage or cracks to the bronze casting but does have some small ware marks to the figure that would be found on most old used Statues.
