She couldn't remember what they paid for the weights at the time but she thought it was about $125 to $175 for the pair. I have found the larger bird on ebay for over $130 alone-I think. Great Antique Estate Find Burmese Rooster Chicken Opium Scale Weights
This is a great grouping of antique weights with a little stand included. The tallest weights measures 1 5/8" high. The 2 small ones measure 1 1/8" high. I purchased this at an estate sale of a collector of Asian art. Please check out other listings I will be posting. The piece had a note with it that indicates that they are Burmese opium weights circa 1600s- 1800s. From close inspection.
