Vintage DEG Dynasty 2 Valve Trumpet or Bugle~USA Vintage DEG 2 Valve trumpet or Bugle. I am unsure exactly what this is labelled. It reads DEG Dynasty on the bell along with Lake Geneva Wis. USA. Numbers on outside of valve reads 7644. This instrument has some dings and dents as shown in the pictures. The 2 valves work but one is a little sticky-will need some work for serious playing. The slide valve you use with your thumb works nice and moves freely. The other small one is free also and comes out. Its fairly clean and shiny but with dings on the side. Scratches and a couple scuffs. Includes a mouth piece and Bach case. The handle has obviously been replaced but works fine. Buy with confidence. Check my feedback. The Snuff Bottle is a very interesting example. And I have not seen another ... moreone like this. I am not sure if the snuff bottle is in fact a type of crystal or stone, or is carved of peking glass to imitate stone, so I will let you decide. The Snuff Bottle has an interesting carved lotus form with vibrant pink colors throughout the bottle. I believe the Snuff Bottle is a good and authentic antique piece, which I believe would date to the 19th century period. The interior is finely and deeply carved and the snuff bottle shows remnants of old snuff inside which is a good indication that is has age to it as well. The snuff bottle came from the estate with this carved jade or jadeite lid which compliments the bottle beautifully. The Snuff Bottle could use a cleaning inside, but is otherwise is in fine original condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. The Snuff bottle displays nicely measuring 1 7/8 inches wide, by 1 inch thick, and sits 2 1/4 inches tall not including the lid. The Snuff Bottle without its lid weights 40 grams. On the mouth piece it says 12C. The only marking on the trombone are: Dynasty USA, and on the side it has the numbers 456, I wan't able to find any other markings on it. Sorry there is no case with it. CHINESE MING DYNASTY(1368-1644) UNDERGLAZE BLUE INCENSE POT
Underglaze Blue Porcelain is the best known type of Asian Ceramic Art. It is often referred to as'Blue and White' because of its blue cobalt oxide painted on a white clay body below the clear glaze. Blue and White Porcelain first appeared during the Yuan dynasty(1279- 1368) but became so pervasive during the Ming dynasty(1368- 1644) that today'Blue and White' and Ming are commonly used interchangeably. The rare motif of a flying-fish dragon(feiyu) appears to have been used only briefly. During the early of the Ming period.Its appearance may be related to the tightening of Ming regulations regarding what types of dragons and how many claws different categories of officials and other groups at court were permitted to use. Some have also suggested that flying-fish dragon may be a reference to China's position as the world's ... moremost important seafaring empire in the fifteenth century. This incense pot is probably from early Ming Dynasty period. During the reign of Hongwu(1368-1398) A decree was issued in the year 1371 which forbid certain subjects such as previous emperors, queens, sages or saints, dragon, phoenix, lion and chilin on porcelains. Another decree was issued in the year 1447 by emperor Zhengtong(1436-1449) which prohibited the production of color glaze such as yellow,purple, red or blue glazes including those with underglazed blue design. I was told the plaque itself would date from the later Ming Dynasty period.Which I believe to be a correct dating although there is the possibility it could even be an earlier piece. The Jade itself has a beautify tone and a fine Ming period softness to the jade itself from many years of handling. The Plaque has two qilin dragons with intricately carved heads. The Dragons features are deeply carved with the heads carved in three dimensions, showing its great period qualities. The Plaque also came from the estate with this very finely carved wood display stand, which was most likely carved some time in the 20th century to display the plaque nicely. The Stand has a great wave carved design, along with an old collection serial number to the base. The stand shows its age with some wear throughout. But overall the stand and jade plaque are in very fine original condition with no chips, cracks, repairs, or damages of any king. The Plaque itself measures 3 inches long, by 2 3/8 inches wide, and ¾s of an inch thick. The Plaque on its stand measures 5 inches tall. The picture it could be older than vintage and it has come down through the family but we are not sure of its exact age. The wooden panel measures 19 x 29 x 1.2cm approximately and depicts an elderly wise Oriental gentleman with his elaborate robes and a young boy. Both holding Chinese Lotus in their hands. It seems the little boy is offering the Lotus or the other way around, the elderly gentleman offering to the boy, not sure, I am sure though there is meaning to that. The wooden panel is lightish colour with some strikes to it and have not idea of what type of wood it is. The stones which are carved look like some kind of agates, one particular on the robes looks like jasper and are inlaid into ... morethe wood. ANTIQUE CHINESE QING DYNASTY CHEST & STAND WITH FIGURAL JADE PIN LOCK
ANTIQUE CHINESE QING DYNASTY CHEST& STAND WITH FIGURAL JADE PIN LOCK Offered here is this Chinese Qing Dynasty era chest on separate Yamanaka style stand. This ornate chest is from circa the early 1800's and the stand. We believe, was a later addition during the early 1900's. The chest has brass hardware and sports a single bail handle on the left and right sides. The front has a brass hinge that has a slide through pin with green jade figures on each end(see pictures) The figures look like a scholar and a student. The chest is a deep red color inside and out with court scenes of people, houses and trees. Throughout the scenes on the exterior there are some small writings written in Chinese characters(see pics) The chest appears to be all original. There may have been some old repairs here and there. CONDITION; The chest is in ... morefair condition but it would benefit from some restoration work by a professional antique restorer. The chest displays well. As it is, but if you want it to be perfect then you'll have to have it restored. The top of the chest has several areas that are cloudy and the edges of the chest have chips and missing edges(see pictures) There are some stains on the interior and exterior of the chest too. The chest opens and closes fine and the hinges all work well. The jade pin has no chips to the figures and is in very good condition. The jade is cool to the touch. The end of the pin separates so you can easily slide the pin lock in or out when closing or opening the brass hinge. The stand is solid wood and painted black. It has gold colored highlights as well. The stand is in very good condition and is solid and stable. Underneath the stand there are 6 decorative corner pieces of wood missing out of 8. They are small pieces but noticeable when you look closely. MEASUREMENTS; The chest measures 30 3/8" wide. 12 1/2" tall and 20 1/4" long. The chest is surprisingly light in weight. The Yamanaka style stand measures 33 1/2" wide. 11 7/8" tall and 22 3/4"

The Censer is a Fine and Authentic 16th Century Ming Dynasty example. The Censer has a beautiful and consistent light green longquan celadon crackle glaze throughout. The Censer is also nicely carved decorated all around with period lotus designs. The Censer shows its early age with some wear and a hairline to the rim which could be restored if desired. The Figure has a great and very ... moreinteresting period design. The Figure is Fully Guaranteed to be Authentic Jade. And an Authentic period example, so please bid with Full Confidence. I have seen some similar figures like this in high end auction catalogues, but this is the first one of this quality I have personally sold. The Figure has one of the most interesting Chinese archaic carved designs I have seen with the smaller cat wrapped around the larger cat with elongated neck, and a really interesting design. I was told the figure is more likely a later Ming than earlier Qing example, but I will let you decide for yourself. As you can see I have attached a picture of a similar example offered at Sothebys last year. However I think this example is somewhat more interesting, and this figures very light green and russet jade color is more desirable than the one they offered. The Figure could use a cleaning, but I would never touch anything like this. The Figure is in very fine original condition with no damage, repairs, or losses. Essentially the same low-fired enamels were now used with such authority that Qing polychrome-decorated porcelains outshine all others. The stellar polychrome decoration of the Kangxi period, the famille verte palette of enamels, takes its name from several distinctive shades of green that are almost ... moreinvariably present in the color scheme. Famille verte enamels are brightly colored and translucent: they have been applied rather thickly over the darker outlines and details.
