Blue Danube / Vienna Woods (Blue Onion) style Round Spoon with Wooden Handle
I'm selling off my Mom's Blue Danube and Vienna Woods china in the"Blue Onion" pattern. Most of the pieces are rather uncommon. So I've included pictures of all the items. I'll be listing these in the upcoming days. This is an interesting piece: it looks like Blue Danube or Vienna Woods but has no maker's mark: I suspect it's actually from Germany. It's a round spoon in the Blue Onion pattern with a wooden handle. The porcelain part is about 2 1/2 inches across an 4 inches long; the wooden handle is about 8 1/4 inches long. This is a Beautiful Vintage Multi coloured wood"either a t/caddy or an Ice bucket" It has no inner and do not know if it ever had an inner. So I am not sure which one it was. It has come from the attic. It has a brass handle and nice lid with a wooden knob to lift the lid.Lovely different coloured woods in this piece.It stands approx 6 and threequarter inches high not taking in the lid and about 6 and a half inch across. It does have signs of wear on the varnish at the base and around where the handle meets the pot and a few scratches at those points but is in pretty good condition for all that. Cattaraugus Hunting Folding Knife 12829 Bone Stag Handle King of the Woods Old
For your consideration is this Estate Sale find. It is a folding knife made by Cattaraugus Cutlery Little Valley. NY. The number on the tang is 12829. They call this one"coke bottle" and"King of the Woods" as it is a hunting knife. It has a worm grooved jigged bone stag handle. It also has a locking device to insure the knife doesn't move when it's fully extended. I believe it's called a linerlock. The lock looks like brass. And it has a patent date of July 3, 1906 stamped into it. The inside liners of the knife also look brass. The bone handle looks beautiful on both sides. The coloring is great, and I don't see any cracks or pieces out of it. On the end there is a hole for a lanyard. This one has a metal ring through the hole with some kind of old leather or sinew piece tied to the ring. The blade looks ... morewell used. It's very sharp and it still has it's point. But it looks like it's been sharpened in the past, and also has some pitting, rusting, and wear. The names and numbers on the tang are worn as well. There are two initials or just scratches, on one side of the metal part near the blade. The blade is very straight, it makes a loud snap when opened, and there is no wiggle in the blade. The locking device is in perfect working order too. I took lots of pictures in the bright sunlight. So you should be able to see everything well. The knife measures 5 7/16" closed, just shy of 9 1/2" opened, and the blade is 4" long. It probably needs a good cleaning and the blade needs polishing, as it's been stored away for awhile. I don't often find pocket knives. And don't know a lot about them, but I'd think this one is in fair to good condition for its age. You'll judge best by looking at all my pictures. I do know it will make a valued addition to someone's collection. It will be packaged in a small priority box.Thank you and good luck!

See in the last two photos also some broken lines as you can see in photos. This is a beautiful little dish. This piece is from my husbands Grandmother's collection of Vienna Woods. She had a display of her China pieces so most of them were not used very much or never used. She did use her place setting everyday. I did received her china after she passed in 2000. I rarely use the pieces. But like her I use the place setting every day. What's great about this China is that it is microwave and dishwasher safe.
