Boss, of Springfield, MA, on May 10, 1933, and was filled on May 12, 1933, by Pharmacist, Charles W. King, of King's Pharmacy in Chicopee, MA. It was issued by the Treasury Department and is printed on fancy. Beautiful pink paper. In the center is the old Treasury Seal with the Latin inscription, Thesaur. Amer. Septent. Sigil. When you hold this prescription up to the light INDUSTRIAL ALCOHOL is watermarked, as with the metal strips that are used in U.S. bills today, the graphics are GREAT! This was the pharmacist's duplicate copy. Printed on the back are the"Instructions" one of which is: This duplicate prescription must be retained by the druggist as permanent record. Open to inspection by Federal Officers" The top copy was sent to the government. The following is stamped on the item: There are no maker mark's nor brand mark's.This is a antique/vintage whiskey/liquor jug and it's real heavy stoneware type material with a attached handle.It's a one colored jug it's a dark brown color.The complete jug has a very nice glaze coating but not on the bottom.This is a used item it has wear and light scratch/scuff mark's from normal use not abuse and has alot of life left ... morein it.There are some very small flea bite's type chip/nick's but nothing bad nor major chip's.No crack's,there is nothing glued on any of this piece,I do not no what quart size this is.For it's age this is still in great condition for a used item,the complete jug is very solid and heavy duty.On lip area there is two older chip/nick's,just below the lip area there is this small hole please look at my picture's you will see these mark's. Antique North Carolina Earthenware Moonshine Liquor Whiskey Jug 1870
For sale is a Antique North Carolina Earthenware Moonshine Jug circa 1870. The jug was found in a hand hewn log barn by the owner who said the barn was built in the 1860's. The jug was under the floor in a space between the rock foundation. It is possible that it was put there after the barn was built. The jug is about 9.75" tall and 7" in diameter. The jug has something in it and even though I have washed it out there is still something inside. It is possible that a bird or other animal had made a nest inside. It is very heavy weighing over seven pounds. The way the jug is made confirms it's early creation. The glaze is glass and salt which confirms the approximate age of 1850-1880. The jug is in good antique condition with no chips or cracks. Please examine the photos carefully. This auction is for an antique pottery jug marked"Fee Bros. It is in good used condition with some small paint spots and one 1/8" ding in the side. But no cracks, chips or crazing. It measures about 6 1/2" in diameter at the bottom and it is about 7 1/2" tall. Fee Brothers is from Rochester, NY and was started in 1864, but began using"Fee Brothers" as a name in 1883. At this time they made and distributed wine and also dealt in other alcoholic beverages, but I don't know it's original contents. They are still in business today as a maker of extracts. A very nice example, low minimum bid! No reserve auction!

Nice little primitive mini jug. The upper part and neck has a band of brick brown, the body a speckled beige. There's a tiny little handle. The bottom is glazed, with a dry foot and embossed USA. On the outer edge of the bottleneck is a 3/16" long chip mostly just to the glaze. MEASURES APPROXIMATELY 4 1/4" tall. 1 3/4" across the bottom, 3/4" across the top of the neck. I always pack securely and combine shipping on multiple item purchases whenever possible. Any white spots in the photos are flash glare from my camera. Here is a nice old 5 gallon whiskey jug from a North Carolina estate. It is from the turn of the century from what I can find online about the company. The owner seemed to be sued a lot for not fulfilling orders and promises. I've been able to connect him to the beginning of Canadian Club and a few other huge whisky names. The crock is in decent shape for being over a hundred years old. It has a few notable chips and it has crazing throughout. There is a mark on the back that I can't tell if it's a scratch or crack. Antique 19th Century Stoneware Whiskey Liquor Jar Dark Brown Slip Glaze
Antique stoneware vessel to originally hold a type of alcohol usually made from distilled sorghum. The condition is amazing for its age. It is very thick and very heavy the clay is very course so the walls have to be thicker as the course clay is not fine. The glaze is traditional brown slip that is typical to early 19th century pieces. So this being so rare gives it a certain rustic beauty. The pictures speak for themselves. Excellent condition.
