2 Antique Architectural Salvage Wooden Porch Brackets Corbels for Porch Posts
For sale in this auction is a pair of porch brackets or porch corbels for decoration next to a porch post. These are off of a 100 year old house porch that was being torn down. They are made out of wood and most of the paint is gone. They measure approximately 14 inches long on the longest side and 12 inches long on the other side. They are approximately 3 1/4 inches wide on the back side. The tallest part of the decoration measures approximately five and half inches tall. They do have wear. Some cracking, lots of cobwebs and one corner has damage more than the rest. I tried to show that in the pictures. I've had them for at least 10 years and thought I would do something with them and never have. Please email me with any questions. Shipping in the continental USA only. Architectual Salvage Large Victorian Wood Cupola Corbels With Finial Drops Circa 1870. The corbels came off our victorian style home last fall during a renovation. The home was built late 1860's- early 1870's. The large corbels that are featured in this listing came off our cupola. Some may call the cupola the watch tower or widows walk) You will recieve the pair shown in photos. Corbels are weathered and may have chipped paint. Cracks here and there, some areas may be missing a little wood. I show size using tape measure in last photos. Size is approx. as the corbels are hand crafted and all are unique. Elaborately Carved Wooden Support Brackets Corbels Finials Embellishments
I call these carved fragments corbels but they could also make interesting finial decoration. Each is solid wood and each has a minor crack in the back. There are also some scratches to the finish. Nevertheless. They are fantastically fun decorative objects. Each corbel is 10" x 5.5" x 3.5" This item came from a furniture and design company that went out of business in the 1990's. Some pieces were removed from furniture that was in disrepair other pieces were left over stock from architectural design projects.

Architectual Salvage Victorian Wood Unique Gable Corbels Circa 1870. Corbels were removed from our home last fall during a renovation. The house was built late 1860's early 1870's. You will recieve the pair shown in photos. Corbels are weathered and may have chipped paint. Cracks here and there, some areas may be missing a little wood. I show size using tape measure in last photos. Measurements are approx. as the corbels are handcrafted and all are unique. Please look at the photos as always the best way to describe an item. I will try and keep paint as is, covering with paper first before additional packaging for shipping. Some paint chips may come off before you recieve, this is beyond my control. Very nice brackets. 1-1/4 wide not including raised areas. 22-18 tall and 8 deep at bigger end 4-1/2 at smaller but it grows to about 5-3/4 if you include the radius that juts out at small end. Great for your next project. Finish isn't perfect but most is present and with a little work these will come up nicely without having to loose its original color. This auction is for a pair of corbels. These corbels came off our Victorian style home about 5 years ago during a renovation. I had fully intended to put these back on our home but due to sickness was never able to do so. The home was built late 1880's- early 1890's. Corbels are weathered and may have chipped paint. Cracks here and there, some areas may be missing a little wood and a number of them have old termite damage on the end. The corbels measure 18-3/4” Long by 12” High by 4-1/8” wide. Size is approx. as the corbels are hand crafted and all are unique. I have taken pictures of a single corbel. A pair, and several pictures of them in a stack. Nice old and heavy corner braces used for an accent on my son's older home. This auction is for two(2) vintage Corner Braces. They would also work fine for a shelf brace. Pictures: The 5th picture is showing the back of one and the 6th picture show the width of one leg while laying on the other. If you can't tell these are oak tree leaves and acorns. Also. Some of the pictures make the legs look like they are curved or bent, they are not- they are all nice and straight. They are white with chips of paint missing and the paint looks to be several coats over the years. They were located outside on a front porch so have not seen a lot of direct weather. Dimensions: The legs are about 12' × 12" and they are about 5/8" thick(legs) Material: Appear to be cast iron Condition: These are in used condition but do not have ... moreany cracks or breaks in the metal.
