Available here is a set of encaustic fireplace tiles made by Trent Company. There are 11 six inch tiles with a floral/vine/three leaf clover pattern. Included in the tiles are 2 corner tiles. One top center tile and one end"L" tiles. shown in center) Beautiful colors of aqua and brown. Color change can be arranged differently if desired. Colors are much more pretty than photos depict. All of the tiles exhibit crazing consistent with age. They have very little to no concrete grout on the back. They are all marked“TRENT” on the back. When placed together correctly. Antique Erotic Art Pottery Tile Minton King Arthur Series Guinevere Moyr Smith
This tile is not signed by the Minton Company however it has all the characteristics of a Minton tile. It does have the name of the artist- Moyr Smith. This is one tile in a series called the King Arthur series and the name Guinevere is along the lower section. It is in good condition however the photo will show a small chip on the margin lower right. This is a nice tile in the art nouveau- arts and crafts style. It is 6 by 6 inches by almost a half inch thick. There is a slight residue of grout leading me to think it was perhaps used around a fireplace or a border above the wainscoat.

There are two minor chips on face, that are barely detectable and does not affect the integrity of the piece. Very Nice and beautifully done. Far left top along edge is one chip and on the right on the middle edge is another. Barely noticeable and actually looks like part of the piece.

Just out of a local house is this Rare Batchelder tile. It advertises the tile company from Pasadena and Los Angeles California that was in production from 1909 to 1932. The tile measures 3 7/8 inches across at its widest. It has a soft matte blue green glaze. It is in very good condition with one small nick on the lower right corner area. See photos. The tile is pictured in The Encyclopedia of American Art Tiles Vol. 4 on page 49. Would make a nice addition to any collection. Guaranteed old and as described.

This lovely Art Nouveau tile was made by the Marsden Tile Co. Burslem. Stoke on Trent around 1905. The pattern is moulded in low relief and shows a typical Art Nouveau flower and swirling stems. The tile is coloured with rich majolica glazes and is slightly irridized. It is 6 inches square and in good condition. See picture#2 for the back.

The tile has some cement on the back and minor wear to the edges from it's previous use. there is the typical crazing that is often found on antique tiles. See photos. The tile was most likely a part of an architectural element. There are scratches to the glaze on the side of his face from his forehead to his chin.
