It looks like a new piece of furniture except for two correctable problemss that you can find in the photos and I will do my best to describe. There is a mar on the top surface of the nightstand. Likely from a wet glass or cup. There is some slight roughness over the area of the mark but the wood itself is not raised and does not feel swollen or waterlogged. It could be covered by a table scarf or likely repaired fairly easily. On the front of the bottom drawer, there are two small chips of brown paint missing inside the metal drawer pull. This can be corrected with matching oil paint. Other than these two problems, it is like a new piece of furniture. ... moreThe insides of the drawers and the drawer housings are clean and in perfect condition. They look, feel, and smell as if they have never been used. All joints are tight. There is no wobbliness or unsteadiness. Please take a look at the photos and email with any questions. The front legs have a brass-colored metal cover at each base. There are also a few very light surface mars, on the sides of the piece, visible in the photos, easily corrected with a good polishing. The dresser is in overall nice condition showing some wear from age but nothing bad. CHEST/ BOOK CASE- The bottom half has three drawers. The top drawer measures about 4 1/2 inches tall on the inside and the next two drawers measure about 6 1/2 inches tall on the inside. Circa 1960 Mahogany Five drawers See description for full condition report, This exquisite mahogany bedside chest has been dated back to the 1960’s. The beautifully deep patina of the rich mahogany is extremely captivating and would do wonders for any setting. This chest would make a splendid compliment to any bedroom or living room. The satinwood inlay on the top and drawers is complimented by the impressive mahogany cross banding to compose an elegant appearance. There are five drawers in all. Two small up top and three ... morelarge below all fitted with solid brass pulls and dovetailed joints. The drawers are accented with satin inlay and the sides of the facade have canted edges to enhance the shape of the chest. The piece sets atop a pair of extremely sturdy bracket feet to complete the look. The overall condition of this chest of drawers is fair. The main issues with the piece are cosmetic and include a light stain on the top and various nicks. Marks, and dings that are present throughout the entire piece. The photos capture a sampling of this wear. Also present are some finish blemishes across the feet and apron. Structurally this piece is quite strong and built to last. All of the drawers open and close easily and it does not wobble or move. It would be great to put a heavy lamp on, to use as a nightstand, or in a hall or foyer. The back is clean and well built. Dovetailed joints make the drawers quite strong. Unique brass drawer pulls adorn the drawers. The feet are strong. But do have some finish issues.
