Vintage Antique Nightstand Bed Side Table Shabby Cottage Wood Dresser Lock Lamp
Up for auction is this great vintage bedside table or office table. I do not know much about it so if you do please email me I would love to hear from you. Item is made of wood and is very heavy and sturdy. It measures about 29.5" tall. 15" wide and 17.5" in length. There is a removable guard on the top that ADDS another 9" to the top, unfortunately one side of the guard has been lost over the years. I believe this item to be from the 1930's but not sure. It has a drawer on top with I believe brass hardware and a door with matching hardware. The bottom cabinet is made to lock but and the mechanism is all intact but no key. The inside shelf is not movable. It has 4 wooden wheels on bottom and no flat spots. Please ask questions and see pictures for the excellent carvings and details. It has a mellow color and wispy grain. Most yew wood contains knots which add interest and character to each piece of furniture made with this stunning material. We are pleased to offer this EXCEPTIONAL. Vintage, tiered side table or nightstand. The table is HEAVY and weighs approximately 60lbs. It is made in butcher block fashion of VERY THICK, pine. The table is in the Tuscan/Spanish style with Gothic accents. It features oversized, turned wood legs. The apron features a carved/incised shield or crest on each of the four sides. The crests are large and are raised. The pattern is an incised harlequin with a star incised at each lined intersection. There are large brass medallions at the upper section of each leg. The top is very thick/substantial as well. It is planked. The legs rest on raised feet. The upper section of the feet are raised above the lower shelf/tier of the table.
