Item Description: Up for purchase is this PAIR of vintage late 60’s nightstands produced by the American manufacturer. Kent Coffey. The nightstands are overall in very good condition. However, don’t rule out their age, they show some very light age related wear as detailed in the photos, a few tiny dings& light scratches here and there, but overall in good useable condition. They are made of walnut& elm. And the tops of the nightstands are a vintage black formica which fools the viewer into thinking it is black stone. The formica tops is probably what has saved the top finish over all these years of life. Otherwise, they would most likely show more wear. These are really cool. But I cannot determine who designed or made them. They appear to be vintage and have been completely refinished and restored. I think someone may have replaced the knobs with the nice mccobb style ones. Please look at the pictures. They are a bit of a mystery to me. well designed. nice proportions and all. and NO VENEER. this is solid wood. missing 2 foot brass caps. probably can find them, but in the meantime just take have the back 2 legs on one be without. Pair LANE Mid Century Modern WALNUT Eames Era End Tables Style 997-02 S/N Match!
This is a beautiful pair of mid century modern end tables by Lane. They are made of solid walnut and oak and measure 21-5/8" wide x 20" tall x 28" deep(including the handle) They are in excellent condition for their age and the only issues that I see are some marks on the top of one table as seen in the photos and one drawer moves past its stop and needs a glide. Otherwise. They show light wear consistent with age and gentle use. Both pieces are marked Lane in the drawer as well as on the bottom. They are Style 997-02 and have matching serial numbers. Nice Mid Century Modern Two Drawer Nightstand Made by Ward Furniture Manufacturing Company Laminate over solid wood Measurements: approx 22" wide by 14.5" deep by 21" tall. Drawers are approx 3.25" deep Good vintage condition- please read all condition descriptions and look at all pics- The overall condition is good. With some general wear- there are a couple of small spots where the laminate has chipped, most notably on the front left bottom and upper corners each about.5" All four legs also have wear, scuff marks toward the bottom. The sides have some wear- stain fading a little. Legs unscrew for shipping- shipping weight is approx 50 lbs- also available for free pick up in NYC. Or for $25 delivery within Manhattan. They are made by the same company and one of them has a stencil mark"4212" behind it. The other does not. One has also had an extra hole added to the rear likely to allow larger plugs to go through. There is a color variation in the wood top or variation in the grain. Thus they do not 100% match. But were used and purchased together. We do not know what the wood is. It is highly figured grain.
