Each nightstand features one deep drawer.Nice hue and patina to the walnut wood. Very clean straight lines and long Danish style tapered pencil legs, typical of Scandinavian design. Signature metal inset Xs at each of the four corners on the tops. Often misrepresented and labeled as designed by George Nelson. The Nelson office did not have anything to do with the American of Martinsville designs. It only shows ignorance or wishful thinking on the part of any seller who makes that attribution. American of Martinsville are perfectly gorgeous designs and quite well made. The tables are in overall good original vintage condition but do show wears. Vintage American of Martinsville Danish Modern Merton Gershun 3 Tier X End Table
This auction is for one vintage 1960's American of Martinsville three tiered end table that was designed by Merton L. Gershun. This table is sturdy. Cosmetically. The original walnut finish has some scratches and staining on it's table top and some chipped veneer on two of it's corners, but otherwise it looks good(see pictures) The aluminum"X" accents on the top of the table are spectacular(see pictures) The dimensions of the table are 25" wide and 22" tall. The top shelf is 15" deep. The second shelf is 17.5" deep, and the third shelf is 20" deep. This table will be disassembled for shipping. I have the twin to this table in a separate listing.
