We are pleased to offer this EXCEPTIONAL. Vintage, tiered side table or nightstand. The table is HEAVY and weighs approximately 60lbs. It is made in butcher block fashion of VERY THICK, pine. The table is in the Tuscan/Spanish style with oversized, turned wood legs. The apron features a carved/incised shield or crest on each of the four sides. The crests are large and are raised. The pattern is an incised harlequin with a star incised at each lined intersection. There are large brass medallions at the upper section of each leg. The top is very thick/substantial as well. It is planked. The legs rest on raised feet. The upper section of the feet are raised above the lower shelf/tier of the table. Circa 1960 Light surface scratch to top Flame mahogany Serpentine shape Four drawers Sturdy, Here is a gorgeous serpentine front nightstand dresser made from lovely flame mahogany. This is a vintage English piece made sometime around the year 1960 and in excellent shape today. The shape of the front is called serpentine because it winds back and forth like an“S” or snake shape. This is a difficult shape to achieve. The wood has to be bent several times in just the right proportions. The maker ... moreof this chest did just that and the result is the beautiful bedside table you see here. The flame mahogany wood has a lighter color which looks great with the two brass ring pulls on each drawer. All four drawers open and close easily with one hand and were constructed with dovetailed joints. Bracket feet finish the dresser off at the bottom giving it a traditional look that fits in any decorating scheme. There is only one blemish on this chest in the form of a light surface scratch to the top. We have included a picture of it. Otherwise this serpentine nightstand is in excellent condition. It is strong. Sturdy, and will last for many years. You can use this wonderful piece as a nightstand but it can also be used as a side table between two chairs or at the end of a sofa. This nightstand is in lovely condition. Its beautiful marble top is surrounded by a thick, double-beveled wooden edge. The nightstand is built in the style of Louis XV around 1900 and stands 34 inches high on carved cabriole legs tipped with a claw and ball design. The nightstand’s apron is carved with a shell design and simple molding. Its one cabinet door, decorated with simplified scroll appliques surrounding a whimsical leaf pattern applique, swings open on bar hinges revealing a storage space elegantly covered in marble.
