Drawers are approx 3.25" deep Good vintage condition- please read all condition descriptions and look at all pics- The overall condition is good. With some general wear- there are a couple of small spots where the laminate has chipped, most notably on the front left bottom and upper corners each about.5" All four legs also have wear, scuff marks toward the bottom. Mid Century Modern Nightstand by Stanley Furniture
This is a mid century modern era nightstand/side table made in 1963 by Sterling Furniture Company. The manufacturers of fine furniture. I acquired it from an estate and it has been well taken care of. It is very sturdy, and in excellent cosmetic condition for being 50 years old. I have cleaned this nightstand and the surface appears to have no signs of wear. This stand is 20" wide, 14" deep and stands 24 1/2" high. It has the original legs and the original drawer pull and the entire stand is original. The winning bidder can pick this item up locally(NW OHIO) or the winning bidder can arrange and pay for having this item shipped. HEYWOOD WAKEFIELD ENCORE Nightstand Night Stand Endtable End Table Mid century
This is a vintage Heywood Wakefield bedside table/nighstand/endtable. Part of the Encore line. It says"518" and stamped champagne on the back but it has been refinished to a darker color- a medium golden brown(see last pic for comparison to a heywood piece in original wheat color) The finish is decent on the outside but is a little sloppy underneath in the shelf area(where you can't see) and the inside of the drawer is painted. The top has 5 dark marks(burns? see pic) and what I think is a small water stain. There are a few minor scratches on the right side. The left side is clean. Not perfect. But very usable- nicer condition than many many pieces I have seen. Shelf is adjustable/removable. Solid wood, very heavy.

First, they were made by CFC(both stamped) 2nd, Andersen was the primary designer for CFC during this time period. 3rd, the very pretty sculptural handles are the same design used in Andersens other bedside tables, side tables and chest of drawers CFC made. 4th the quality fits the name. Comprised of solid rosewood and rosewood veneer. Each features a double tier"step" design with double top surfaces and a pull out drawer drawer. They are really great and can be used ... morein the bedroom as night tables or living/ family room as side tables etc. The backs are fully finished so you can place in the middle of a room with no problem. They are very elegant giving of a light airy feel while providing a ton of function. Solid turned rosewood legs finish them off and unscrew for shipping. measurements Each 14 1/4" wide by 20 3/4" deep by 22 1/2" high(15 3/4" high to the lower table top) Drawer interior is'12 1/4" wide by 8 1/2" deep by 1 1/2" high condition In very condition with light age wear. One lower top surface has a some clear finish wear that we could not get to show in the pics. Its basically just the clear top finish wearing thru. It can be completely invisible from some angles and is not a big deal to the overall appearance. Vintage Mid Century Edward Wormley Drexel Precedent Nightstand Drexel Furniture Edward Wormley Wormley has pioneered in a broad field of design. He was one of those unique designers who was sensitive to the interplay involved in selling modernism and still preserving the nostalgic touch of intimacy, warmth and detail. Wormley attended the Art Institute of Chicago in 1926. After attending there he worked for Marshall Field`s Design Studio in 1930, and then a year later he began working for Dunbar. His collaboration with Dunbar made him a household name for decades. His first Dunbar chairs. Produced in 1932, were reproductions of antique designs, but when they became popular Wormley augmented the set with new pieces to form a full line of furniture for almost every room in the house. He was given a contract under which he would produce two ... morelines of furniture each year, one traditional and one modern. By 1944, however, the popularity of the modern line had eclipsed its counterpart and the traditional series was dropped. He opened his own office in New York a year later where he remained a consultant for Dunbar and contracted out his own designs. vintage midcentury modern Dixie WALNUT low NIGHTSTAND/end table ~ P/U Chicago IL Greater Chicagoland-area local pick up/delivery only(Saint Charles. IL- Far west Chicago suburbs) Up for auction: A gorgeous. Vintage, midcentury modern walnut low two-drawer nightstand or end table(commode" per its markings) It looks like it's likely ca. 1950s-60s, but I can't be certain. It's hardwood with walnut veneer; the legs are oak. Made by Dixie Furniture. Solid and sturdy. Dovetailed drawers. The photos were taken in relatively bright daylight lighting. It's been refinished- I think it's absolutely beautiful. The grain is gorgeous. And warms and pops in the light. The legs(oak) are a bit darker than the rest of it(walnut) giving it a bit of a cool two-tone effect. And in direct light, the drawer fronts seem a bit redder than ... morethe rest of it(just the cut of wood, the graining) giving it somewhat of a cool tri-tone effect. Otherwise, in different, cooler lighting, it's more uniform, less amber and red. By way of refinishing. It was chemically stripped by hand(the tops, sides and drawer faces were not sanded at all, other than between coats of poly, with super fine sandpaper) stained with a walnut oil-based stain, and given a few lights coats of a satin-finish, oil-base polyurethane. Condition: Overall. For it's age, I think it's in very nice vintage condition with age-appropriate imperfections. I think it displays beautifully(and is superbly useful) By way of flaws: 1) On the top surface. Near the left edge, centerish, there's a small cluster of scratches(within a 1" square area) I didn't attempt to repair or remedy this flaw- I don't really think it's detractive(photo) 2) minor, superificial scratches and edge wear; 3) the smallest veneer chip along the bottom of one drawer, near center; 4) this isn't necessarily a flaw, but a prior owner lined the bottom of the drawers with an atomic starburst paper(it's adhered) it's imperfect but charming and seems appro
