Solid wood, and Veneer, and they are in original condition. These Tables have a light/medium stain finish color on th e tops. And they ha ve an off-white/beige painted finish color on the fronts and on the sides. Th ese wonderful Tables have elegant antique Brass-finish handles. See pictures. These classic End Tables have dove-tailed drawers made out of solid wood in the in side. And they are working properly, see pictures. These charming Tables were produced by American of Martins ville, a fine furniture manufacturer. The condition of these End/Side Tables is secure and sturdy with some minor aging spots/scratches here and there proper to their age& wear and tear. Mid Century Custom Built End Tables w/ Felt Lined Drawers
Matched pair of custom built end table form Elgin. Illinois, mid century. Purchased in the late 1950's from a cabinet-furniture enthusiast that custom built furniture with drawers. Many of his pieces have been stamped with his initials. I have several more of these custom built pieces available from the same estate. I would like to add that the drawers still slide like out and in with barely any friction, a dream for those of us that have struggled with aged pieces that do not slide properly with age. They are in gently used condition. There aren't any major flaws just warmed patina wear.

A Truly American Company 1873: Widdicomb Brothers& Richards incorporates as Widdicomb Furniture Co. 1887 and 1891: Local histories of Grand Rapids describe Widdicomb as the largest manufacturer of bedroom furniture in the world. 1950: Widdicomb merges with Mueller Furniture Corp. to form Widdicomb-Mueller Corp. 1970: Widdicomb Furniture Co. name is purchased by John Widdicomb Co. Products The first products of the Widdicomb Furniture Co. were spindle beds that were generally shipped to retailers unfinished or“in the white” An 1878 article in The American Cabinet Maker. Upholsterer and Carpet Reporter states that Widdicomb made only“nine styles of work. and specialized in low-priced ash, maple, cherry, and walnut bedsteads.
