Drexel is a manufacture of high quality solid wood furniture. Please check the pictures for a better look at some of the wear on the vanity top and towards the bottom. It is still in great solid. Sturdy condition and the drawers are all dovetailed and clean. There is some finish rubbed off in areas toward the bottom front of legs(pictured) main wear is on left very bottom side(pictured) but there are other areas in the front that have finish rubbed off from age/use. There is some staining on the very right side top of vanity(pictured) This can be easily lightly refinished to make perfect. There may be some normal wear from age and use such as dings, scratches, rubs. Main areas of concern is pictured. Drexel tag is missing from vanity but it is the matching piece to the bed so I have pictured the tag from the bed. The same numbers match from the bed to the vanity also. Tiger Mahogany" an endangered species.saved! This is a gorgeous customized classic antique chest of 4 drawers. I restore fine antiques and make customized furniture. This beautiful chest I found as a diamond in the rough needing TLC.I fell in love with the"tiger mahogany" drawer fronts and all of the trim details. I restored this piece from top to bottom. Including custom made drawer slides/runners. Complete drawer rebuilding including gluing and clamping. The veneer was repaired as need on the drawer fronts.I added custom trim to the drawer fronts. Like a picture frame adding great detail and beauty. The hand carved Celtic circle was a custom addition. New polished nickel hardware. Notice the fluted ball feet and the original scroll trim on the lower front skirt of the dresser. The upper drawer middle trim"grille" ... morepanel is awesome as well as the trim just below the drawer. The front corner posts of the dresser are fluted.As you can easily see this dresser has many wonderful details. The drawer fronts are rare featuring exotic"tiger/curly" mahogany. The drawers are the ever sought after dovetail joinery(the best drawer joints made) The entire dresser is hardwood construction. It is rock solid. Heavy and built like a tank.The upper drawer has a fixed divider built in.I hand finished all of the drawer insides for a clean and easy to wipe surface. Selling an antique mahogany princess dresser made by the Widdicomb furniture company in 1902. Completely refinished in hand rubbed oils and in pristine condition. Measurements are 45 inches wide. 26 1/2 inches high on the dresser part and 72 inches high with mirror. Beautiful carvings and the inside of the drawers are birds eye maple. There are two drawers above the one long drawer that is shown in photos. On the back of the drawer is signed by who worked on it and the date is Feb. 26, 1902. It is also dated on the inside of the mirror. Quality piece of furniture and has to be seen to be appreciated. The mirror is attached to dresser by a gear like locking method. The wood used is a lovely mahogany wood. It has been adorned(as was common for Edwardian period furniture) with a satinwood and ebony inlay around the drawer fronts ... moreand raised top sections. This dressing table had. At one time, a top with a mirror. This is no longer present and the holes where this would have been attached have been expertly filled. Each of the four drawers is constructed with hand cut dovetails. Making them quite strong. They slide quite well on their wooden runners. Round, brass ring pulls adorn each drawer and really complete the look of the whole dresser. Finally, the four tapered legs end in casters which have been replaced at some point in the dresser’s life. Besides a few old wear marks to the top and front. And one minor age separation on the lower top section, this Edwardian dressing table is in very good condition. It is sturdy and will last for generations to come. Antique Vintage Serpentine Mahogany 12 Drawer Dresser Mirror Bow Front Buffet
Hi this is a great matching mahogany 12 drawer serpentine dresser and mirror in very good used condition. The mirror is a wall mounted mirror and does not attach to the dresser. I am willing to sell the mirror separately for the right price. The dresser is wonderful with a platform base and symmetrical sides with very cool curves. The dresser measures 60 1/4" long 20" deep and 33 1/2" tall. The top is 1 3/8" thick. The side drawers are 19" wide internally and graduated heights. The top is 3" then they get taller by an inch as you go down 4" 5" and 6" on the bottom. The mirror has no chips cracks or breaks and the silver is good and even throughout and it measures approximately 52" by 33 3/4" I am selling this for a friend who has had this in the family a long time and never mounted the ... moremirror over the dresser. The stain on the mirror is a bit darker than the dresser as I believe it was not used and in storage most of the time. Included in the lot is a caned Louis XVI style mahogany chair, and a polychromed carved wood Adam style sectional wall mirror. The dresser has fine veneers of rosewood, stripped and feathered mahogany, and burl walnut. The drawer and door fronts have Classical marquetry inlays with scroll florals and urns. There are also string inlay. The case is solid mahogany, the drawer interiors of oak. The outer brass knobs are as flowerheads, the interior drawers with brass filigree pulls.
