It has dainty brass handle hardware which I am not sure are original. The keyhole escutcheon are the big round medallions. The candle shelves have heavy incise carved burl front shelf supports, burl walnut trim going up the mirror and the big crest on top with a doorbell looking medallion on the top. This is a great little ... morechippy piece. Do not know the history, my guess it was a hand made piece by someone with very good wood working skill. There is a nice carved pediment across the top over an early mirror. Turned columns on the sides of the mirror and nice decorative trim around the mirror. There are two shallow wide drawers and two square deeper drawers on the bottom. As you can see in the pictures one of the drawer bottoms was made from a wood crate and one of the sides also shows the imprint of a wood crate under the paint(see last picture) There are old metal wheels on the bottom. In good solid antique condition. The paint is worn and chipped, there is wear to the mirror with some silver loss, on the side where the imprint of the crate can be seen there is a break to the trim wood on the back corner. On the old wood backing it looks like there is an old water mark. It has seen years of use. Still a great primitive chippy piece that could be left as is, or repainted for a bright clean finish. The top piece with the columns and the mirror is held on with screws and can be removed to cut down on shipping cost. Dresser measures 31" tall. 19" wide and about 12" deep. ANTIQUE VANITY SET BAKELITE DRESSER HAND MIRROR VINTAGE LOOKING GLASS
This is a very old vanity or dresser set in great condition. The items appear to be bakelite but I am going by what I was told when I purchased the lot at an estate sale. The pictures show the pieces to have a design or it might be stains that bleed throughout the backs with metal tear drops in the center. There are no cracks or chips in the glass. I only used water to clean these because I did not want to jeapordize damaging the set with any chemicals. The measurements are as follows. Mirror: 10 inches long X 3 1/2 inches wide. Brush: 8 inches long X 2 1/4 inches wide. File: 6 3/4 inches long X 1 inch wide. Container or Storage Box: 7 inches long X 2 inches wide x 1 inch deep. Antique Child's Dresser Hand Made Early Painted Piece Mirror 4 Drawers Chippy
Primitive Antique Child's Dresser Great little Mirrored Dresser. Originally purchased at the Brimfield Antique Show in MA. This is a great little chippy piece. Do not know the history, my guess it was a hand made piece by someone with very good wood working skill. There is a nice carved pediment across the top over an early mirror. Turned columns on the sides of the mirror and nice decorative trim around the mirror. There are two shallow wide drawers and two square deeper drawers on the bottom. As you can see in the pictures one of the drawer bottoms was made from a wood crate and one of the sides also shows the imprint of a wood crate under the paint(see last picture) There are old metal wheels on the bottom. In good solid antique condition. The paint is worn and chipped, there is wear to the mirror with some silver loss, on the side ... morewhere the imprint of the crate can be seen there is a break to the trim wood on the back corner. On the old wood backing it looks like there is an old water mark. It has seen years of use. Still a great primitive chippy piece that could be left as is, or repainted for a bright clean finish. The top piece with the columns and the mirror is held on with screws and can be removed to cut down on shipping cost. Dresser measures 31" tall. 19" wide and about 12" deep. Here is sum history on this furniture: 1915- 1931: The era between World War I and the Great Depression was Berkey& Gay's zenith of production. PRIMITIVE ANTIQUE PINE-DURER'S RHINOCEROS- Art Dresser/ Hall Chest Great antique primitive pine dresser turned into an amazing art piece that's sure to WOW everyone. SIZE: 17" deep x 39" wide x 35" tall ART: hand drawn using Black oil paint pen. Hints of blue and white to make his eye sparkle. CONDITION: Excellent vintage condition. One knot was knocked out of the pine on the upper right side. It looks like it was missing at the time of construction and adds to the character of the piece(see XL photos. Wood peg construction. Precision circle/peg craftsmanship on the drawer construction(see photo. Hand rubbed oil finish to protect the wood. A light coat of polyurethane was added to the top to protect it from water stains and rings which a wax finish won't do. 1930's Antique Vanity Dresser Hand Painted Annie Sloan Desk
Antique 1930's double topped box vanity. She was painted in my own hand-mixed decorative paint in shades of cream and indigo blue. She was then hand waxed with Annie Sloan Dark Wax. Which is a premium furniture wax. Set on her original wooden casters(although she is missing one, but it does not affect her functionality) Original hardware and original wooden appliques. This is such a gorgeous piece. This piece can be used as a Desk, a TV Console, a Server, or a Vanity. 49 inches wide, 28 inches tall from counter to floor(top boxes add 5 additional inches) and 20 inches deep. She's very old and has had some veneer issues. Veneer was pulled off where it was loose. Then sanded down and painted over, but you can still see slightly where veneer meets the natural wood, but I think it gives this piece character. Drawers all function. Up for auction is a very pretty dresser with hand painted flowers. Paint has a chalky look to it(no varnish. The sides and back are blue. While the drawers and top are cream colored with pink and red roses, blue flowers, and orange and yellow flowers. It has a shabby feel to it. Size: 4-5/8" tall X 7-3/4" wide X 3" deep Condition: The chest is in good condition but there is a lot of paint loss. Most noticeably on the front of the drawers. Please look at all pictures. Up for sale is a Very Very Beautiful Antique Cherry Dresser. This dresser has amazing detail and craftsmanship. The handles for the drawers are hand carved and have amazing detail. The drawers all move freely. I am not sure if this dresser has been repaired but does not appear to have been. My Grandmother told me this is from her Grandmother who lived in Davenport Iowa. I am not sure of the exact age of this dresser but I do know that it is an antique. The dresser measures 37 1/2 inches long and 17 inches wide X 63 1/2 inches tall. The mirror to this dresser moves freely and is in great condition. The mirror section of this dresser does not appear to have been repaired in any way.
