Condition: The stool is in excellent condition with no breaks or flaws to the old lovely patina. There is a repair to one corner and I took pictures so you could see it. Other than that it is lovely. It has never been around animals or smoke. French antique Commode in the style of Boulle- three drawers This marvellous laquer commode with a bronze Mosaic is the next best thing after one that is produced by Andre-Charles Boulle himself. The style is here. The colours are right. The marble-top is in perfect condition. Check the sides, they are as skillfully done as the front. The bronze is very detailed. There are no stain-marks or cracks in the marble. It is quite miniature, and could be a phenomenal centre-piece for any room whether it is an apartment, small flat, or a highlight in somebody's mansion. European, Possibly Italian Item# 120008IRU26 This is a work of exquisite craftsmanship. Covered in a thick mahogany and rosewood veneer. The colors exemplified in this chest are simply remarkable. Inlaid with fine marquetry work, the musical instruments central to the commode are flanked on either side by books hanging from knotted ribbon. Two large drawers make up the case, each fully dovetailed front and back, exposed on the sides. Crisp gilt bronze mounts grace the corners and feet, allowing the cabriole legs to terminate in lion paw feet. It was probably made by Berkey and Gay or a company similar in quality and I can tell you it is a heavy quality piece. It has a beveled edge round corner top, fluted columns coming down both sides, reeded tapered legs and brass embossed Sheraton style rings. The top drawer has a zebrawood veneer on the outside edges and burl walnut panel in the center, while all the rest are solely burl walnut. It is finished in a dark walnut stain. The top has been re-sprayed to reveal the gorgeous grains of the fine woods used in this gorgeous chest. The overall size is 43 inches wide, 22 inches deep and 42 inches high. Vintage White Painted Dresser French Farmhouse Style circa 1898
This dresser was made in the late 1800s by the Mount Airy Furniture Company in North Carolina. It still bears its original labels on the back(see photo 5) This dresser has been hand painted and hand waxed with Annie Sloan chalk paint and soft wax. Knobs on drawers were made in Italy. The bottoms of all drawers have been lined in paper. This beautiful dresser could be used in the bedroom or as a buffet in the dining room. It could also be used to store linens and towels.
