Antique Dresser, Vanity w/Mirror and Bench 1936 Colonial Furniture Company
Dresser with 4 drawers. Vanity with mirror, and bench This furniture belonged to my grandmother who was born in 1898 The markings on it say"Colonial Furniture Company Bassett Virginia 1936" These pieces have not been refinished and have nicks. Scratches, and a couple of cigarette burns. The bench has been recovered and the fabric is in good condition The dresser measures 17 1/2" deep x 46" high x 32" wide. The vanity measures 17" deep x 28" high x 45" wide. The vanity mirror measures 34" high x 22" wide. Beautiful Antique Vanity ~ Orig. glass mirror & hardware. Local pickup only pls.
For your consideration I have a beautiful antique vanity. I have owned this piece for the past 18 years and just adore it. However it just does not fit into the style of my current home and I can not see painting over such a nice piece of furniture to make it match. This piece is not in mint condition. It has wear and tear from 3 separate moves. The top portion needs some fine refinishing. This vanity has been refinished before by a professional. There are some scratches and some light chew marks on the edges on the top of the vanity from a past cat that I use to have. Original glass mirror. Piece is made of either solid pine or oak. Very bottom panel on right side under drawers is a little loose, although not at all to the point of falling off. That happened in the last move(sigh) I know how concerns are in Florida when buying furniture ... moreas far as termites& beatles go. This piece has NO infestation issues now or prior to my knowledge. I do not have a matching chair to this. Although I do have an older chair that could be refinished to match for any interested party. Back boarding on mirror side has rippled up some over the years from humidity. But is intact. This came from England and has a metal plate on the front that says“This cabinet and its contents is the property of The Office Clean Towel Hire Co. Ltd. and is on loan to the user as custodian bailee. The oak cabinet is approx. 22 3/8” x 16” x 5 ¾” It has three shelves. The top section I used to hold Kleenex tissues. I especially like the door with the Red Cross symbol. It has Initial Office of First Aid Outfit painted on it. There are ventilation holes at the top and bottom of the cabinet. Some of the silver is lightly worn on the mirror which gives it that vintage charm I so love. The original finish is in excellent ... morevintage aged condition. There is a split in one section of the wooden towel bar which is not usual for it vintage age and usage. It can be hung with the two round hooks at the top. It is very heavy so use wall anchors with your screws to safely secure it to the wall. The wood backing on the inside that covers the mirror has a couple of gouges in the wood. You could remove the backing and replace the mirror with glass if you wanted to use it as a display case. I purchased this charming antique medicine cabinet from an antique store in 1983. I haven’t seen another one like this one since. I filled it with vintage toiletries and hung it in my powder room. Everyone always complimented me on this beautiful piece. I have recently remodeled. ANTIQUE VANITY SET BAKELITE DRESSER HAND MIRROR VINTAGE LOOKING GLASS
This is a very old vanity or dresser set in great condition. The items appear to be bakelite but I am going by what I was told when I purchased the lot at an estate sale. The pictures show the pieces to have a design or it might be stains that bleed throughout the backs with metal tear drops in the center. There are no cracks or chips in the glass. I only used water to clean these because I did not want to jeapordize damaging the set with any chemicals. The measurements are as follows. Mirror: 10 inches long X 3 1/2 inches wide. Brush: 8 inches long X 2 1/4 inches wide. File: 6 3/4 inches long X 1 inch wide. Container or Storage Box: 7 inches long X 2 inches wide x 1 inch deep. 1920-1930's Vanity Mirror Tray, Etched Glass Antique Art Nouveau Plateau Perfume
Volack Mirrored Vanity Tray. This gorgeous vanity mirror tray features a brass gallery with double-bird handles. This gallery is connected to a wide beveled glass base through four drilled holes. The wide outer glass rim is decorated with etched floral vines. The vanity tray rests on four brass ball feet and the underside still has its original green felt backing and paper label. The fabulous Art Nouveau style label declares that“ Volack mirror plate reflects quality” This label also mentions that the company was established in 1856. But there is no city or country of origin listed. This large tray measures just under 18” 45.5 cm) in length. It has a width of 11 3/8” 29 cm) and stands 1 1/8” 2.8 cm) tall at the handles. This delicate item will be carefully wrapped and double boxed to ensure safe delivery. Condition: This lovely old piece ... moreis in good condition and displays well. But does have age damage to the mirror’s silvered backing. The mirror has no chips or cracks, but it does have some small scratches from use. There is quite a lot of streaking, spotting and faint yellowing of the silvered underside of the mirror glass(see photos) In addition this silvered layer has an overall“crackled” appearance and has flaked off in a couple of places along the edges. Of course much of the mirror’s surface would be hidden from view when displayed with perfume bottles covering it on your vanity. The floral etched outer rim is in very good shape, with a few light scratches, but no cloudiness. We found five tiny nicks on the outer edges of this floral etched glass(see photos) There are also several tiny insignificant“flea bite” nibbles here and there on the outer edge, but these are not noticeable at all. The green felt backing on the underside of the tray is in very good shape, but it has one yellowed stain located near one of the feet. As with all of our auctions. This is a very nice. Well made, sturdy, solid, vanity set from the 1920's or 1930's I think. The mirror is nice& clear, there are a couple minor scratches that could be polished over easily. I don't know what kind of wood it is or what the style is called. The vanity with the mirror measures approx 57" tall x 34" wide x 21" deep. The matching chair measures approx 36" tall x 15-1/2" wide x 16" deep. There is no makers mark or tag that I can find on this set. The wood on the vanity surface is a beautiful wood grain design. This antique piece is in nice antique condition. This is for local pick-up or you may arrange for your own long distance shipping. I am located approx 40 minutes north of SF. CA.

Antique 1916 Mahogany Dresser / Dressing Table / Vanity with Mirror
THIS ITEM IS FOR LOCAL PICKUP IN IRWIN. PA 15642 ONLY. NO SHIPPING. Antique vanity/ dresser/ dressing table with mirror. The finish is a dark brown. As shown in the pictures. The facing is missing in a couple places. The mirror has two side mirrors that fold in and out. It has 5 drawers; each drawer has a lock mechanism that looks like it accepts the old style skeleton keys, but I don't have a key for it. The size is about 20 inches deep, 44 inches wide, and 59 inches high. Although I can't tell what they mean, there are several markings on it. Stamped into the wood on the back are the numbers 4474 and 57. 4474 seems like it was important to the manufacturer, because it is in 3 separate places. The mirror is very delicately attached to the dresser. I took the wooden back panel off the mirror to see how it was attached and figure out ... morehow to make it more sturdy, and discovered that the back of the mirror is stenciled with the date June 13, 1916 and an"N" and a"P" which may be the mirror manufacturer's logo. On the inside of the wooden back panel are the words"4474 Mahogany" hand written in cursive pencil. The number"48-88" is stenciled inside the back panel also. 4474 Mahogany Toilet" is also hand written in pencil inside one of the left hand drawers, along with what looks to be the"48-88" again. I looked online but couldn't find information on what these numbers mean or where the vanity came from(or how much it's really worth) I also don't know if"Mahogany" is meant to be the color of the finish, or the type of wood it's made of. The mirror doesn't come off for transportation. It is attached only with 4 screws through the wood mirror frame into the desk part. Which is why the center mirror rocks back and forth a little when the vanity is moved. It could be braced more securely but I don't want to put more screws into it, the new owner can do that. I bought it at a yard sale about 20 years ago and it has been in our

Beautiful Turn of the Century American Oak Dresser Up for your consideration: A wonderful example of fine artistry by American Furniture Makers. This beautiful dresser was purchased at an old estate auction and although a lot of items came from Germany. This belonged to a couple of sisters who moved here from Germany. I am pretty sure they probably purchased it here in America rather than bringing it with them. It does resemble typical American Oak Dressers of the time period- I would say somewhere in the neighborhood of the 1900-1920's. They were quite up in years and the dresser was quite old when they purchased it and I found an Old Catholic Confirmation Certificate(in English) dated 1910 rolled up with what appeared to be an old Marriage License(in German) The lovely Beveled Mirror is in Excellent condition for its age and is framed ... morein a the beautiful Victorian tradition. Here up for auction is an antique vanity/ make-up table I found in an estate sale here in our Great Smokey Mountains of North Carolina. It measures 45 inches wide and 18 inches front to back. It has a desk top 31 inches tall with all the room for the chair you will have to have. It also has the original mirror that is a three piece. It measures 31 inches wide and 35 inches tall. The mirror has the original tarnish that most antiques have. It could be replaced but the original has the personality that matches the desk. Here again I will not change it so not to take any value out of the piece.
