Antique American Victorian mahogany barber's shaving stand. The stand has a pair of turned supports with an adjustable oval mirror and below a pair of candle sconces that can be moved from side to side. The stand has an original white Pitcher& bowl set. On each side is a towel bar. The stand has three'barley twist' legs. The base is a second tier that holds a lidded chamber pitcher. The stand is in great condition. Size is 52" tall x 23" wide x 21" deep. The stand is very fragile. Pick up only.

Antique American Miniature Chest of Drawers Hand Painted Decoration Early Doll
This middle 19th century chest is crafted of ash and walnut with thin pine wood backing and square nail construction. It measures 12 ¼” tall x 13 ¼” wide x 7 ½” deep and has lovely turned walnut knobs and lively side cuts at the base. The top and drawer faces feature red striped edges framing free-hand floral decoration in red and green under an original layer of golden varnish. The drawer fronts are excellent; the top has a split along the back edge. Round water marks and wear to the paint. This chest is fresh from a northern Indiana estate and has un-touched dirty surface. I don’t think the surface has been enhanced since the 1800s but you will note numerous round, wire nail repairs along the back rabbet into which the back slips with some splits and wood loss. Feet mostly original w/ repairs and restorations, c. 1770-90 Item# 120010OEY02 This is a beautiful bachelor's chest with fine proportions. Crafted of solid cherry wood throughout all primary surfaces. The case is crafted entirely using dovetail joinery, noting the sides which lock to the top with a half-blind dovetail, covered with a fine molded rim; the bottom mirrors the top construction, and the drawer divider bars dovetail into the face of the chest. These are of only partial depth, not full dustboards, typical of New England designs as it lessened the overall weight of the chest. The facade is four graduated drawers with bold batwing brasses, each replaced using nearly the same holes, ... morethe brasses of the same age as the chest. The drawer construction shows exquisite attention to detail, note the channeling along the top of the drawer framing, a design characteristic of Massachusetts(though also seen throughout other New England states) The sides of the chests wear fine brass carrying handles, each of magnificent proportions with original hand forged screws locking them to the chest. They are likely added to the chest, though since the chest would not have had brasses on the sides of the chest to start with this is difficult to prove. The chest rests on scroll cut bracket feet, mostly original with mostly original blocking, the right side of the feet replaced in exact replication of the rest of the chest. This is a gorgeous piece. A visual delight and crafted with utmost attention to detail. The cherry boards have a wonderful jagged flamed grain with just a tinge of the soft red hue associated with a natural cherry. With a clean overall appeal and a deep patina glowing through the high polish finish, this is a piece that will enhance your living spaces. LATE 19TH C ANTIQUE QUARTERSAWN OAK AMERICAN CARVED DRESSER CHEST DRAWERS MIRROR
This beautiful antique American quartersawn oak dresser has lovely carving across the top above the mirror and serpentine front two over two drawers below. It stands 81 inches tall and measures 44 inches wide by 22 inches front to back. The dresser travels easily in two pieces as the mirror top section is 48 inches tall and the base top surface is 33 inches tall. There are two smaller drawers across the top with two larger drawers below. I've included a number of photographs in an attempt to accurately represent the design. This highly attractive reproduction American Chippendale Highboy emulates closely after the Philadelphia work centers. Probably crafted during the last years of the 19th century, the entire case is crafted by hand with thick solid walnut planks for primary surfaces. All secondary woods are heavy solid planks of oak, poplar and chestnut. The drawers are hand dovetailed front and back, the bottoms chamfered along the edges and set in grooves in the drawer frame. The brilliant brass batwing hardware is original to the case. The broken-arch ... morepediment boasts robust carved rosettes set beneath a deep molding flanked by flame carved finials. Of the eleven drawers lining the facade, two are embellished with recessed shell carvings, the knees and apron likewise showcasing detailed shell forms. The entire case rests over cabriole legs terminating in trifid feet. This is an absolutely gorgeous reproduction for anyone passionate about the American Chippendale form. Beautiful dresser! Fabulous details. Original carving is so beautiful and ornate. Serpentine front. Lion paws feet. The piece was refinished prior to our purchasing it in the 90s. Finish is in very good condition overall. Beveled mirror. Very slight ghosting. We paid nearly $1000 in the hey day. Priced to sell! Fresh from an old estate. It is one unit with a large glass door with 2 adjustable shelves. A drop front desk with the original pidgeon holes, 3 drawers below the desk, and a beveled mirror. It has the original key and the original finish on the wood. This is possibly a combination of a vanity and desk or a study desk. There is a label on the back with the maker's name.
