Antique Oak 3 Drawer Dresser with Unique Grape Leaf Handles 1800's
This is a stunning antique Oak dresser I bought about 30 years ago and have treasured ever since. Solid Oak. It has very unique grape and leaf handles which I had never seen before nor since. The drawers are held together with the most unique dowel type system using no nails. Please see the pictures as I have tried to show every detail. Has some markings which come from being well over a hundred years old but nothing to detract from it's beauty. One of the rails on the bottom drawer underneath needs some gluing which I have not attempted. Still opens and closes perfectly. It measures 30" wide. By 28.5" high, by 15 3/4" deep. Not sure whether it is a salesman sample or a miniature collectible, but it is a very nice primitive piece. Not sure what the wood is, it is painted with old pale green paint Three drawers with original wood drawer pulls, the top pull is different, not sure if it was broken, nicely constructed with beadboard sides and empire detail. Old unfinished wood on the back, with the top third missing. Antique Golden Oak 3 Drawer's & Door, Original Pull's Commode
A wonderful piece of furniture made approx. 100 years ago and still has a look that will enhance any home. This Commode once held the things needed for every day use. Washing and cleaning of one's self. It would be a porceline set of bowl and pitcher behind the door and cleaning clothes and toweld in the drawers. One drawer has dove tail and is in good condition as is the front, back and sides. The other drawer has been fixed the sides to the drawer have been replaced.The top has a small mark that you can see in the pictures. The mark can be rubbed out with the proper wood solution it might be the shellac or polyurethane aging or possibly a candle left on the wood leaving a small circle of a mark. There is one small knick at the same end as the oher mark. All drawers work smoothly and the door opens and closes all the way properly. There ... moreis no key, but it would not be hard to find a key that would work if you so wished. The Commode measures 28" tall. 26" wide, 14" thick, Top is 27 1/2" long, 15" wide, 3/4" thick. This is an antique/vintage wooden dresser. It has 3 large drawers. Each drawer has two wooden knob handles. There is scroll like cut outs on the base and the top is nicely rounded. The feet have wooden buttons covering nail/screw inserts. One of these buttons is missing. The middle drawer sticks a bit when opening and closing. There are normal wear marks. But nothing is jumping out as damage to the dresser. It's currently finished is medium toned stain. Beautiful antique 3 drawer dresser with granite top
Up for auction is this beautiful 3 drawer antique dresser. I am not sure of the exact age. There are no maker marks that I can see. It is all solid wood. It has dovetail construction on the drawers. There is wear on the bottoms of the drawers as shown in the pictures. The drawer bottoms could use some repair. They have a slight bow to them which causes it to rub on the inside of the dresser. Signed"DB 1923" on the inside of the uppermost drawer. Please viwe the slideshow here: Neat little chest of drawers comprising of three nail constructed drawers with hand chamfered drawer bottoms. Here for you today is a antique/vintage 3 drawer dresser that is missing the top. I think it to be oak but not 100% sure. This would make a great piece to make into a vanity. Or back into a dresser, what ever you choose. Has some issues that need addressing. Some of the joints on the drawers are loose. The outside walls of the dresser are pretty tight. The bottom under the last drawer is a screen. I don't know if this was put on to keep mice out or what this was done for. see photos and ask any questions. Local pick up only.
