many more tiles to come. up for sale. a group of 6 matching original victorian treacle glaze tiles-there is 6.Just not in the picture. no manufacture mark to back 6 inch by 3 they all have some crazing and some light surface scratches overall-they are over a hundred years old removed from a fireplace all have traces of paint on.And soot-they will need a proper clean but will clean up to a high standard one has a light10 mm scratch and two of the corners have a miniscule rub to them-hard to spot. one has a tiny flake off an edge and some very small rubbing to two corners two are excellent with only minor edge rubbing one has a 5mm bite off a corner the last one has a 5 mm flake off the edge and bruise to the glaze in a corner

G lazed tiles with transfer print floral design. Good glaze. Probably late Victorian The t ile is 6 inches by 6 inches Th is is reclaimed and h as small imperfections as a consequence of being a totally authentic pre-used antique/vintage piece. There is a small amount of residual grout on the reverse. There are extremely small chips to the rim. Probably imper cept i ble once refitted. I shall ship with My Hermes. English Victorian 6" Transfer Printed Tile, Calla Lily, Bamboo, Aesthetic Period
This is a very striking transfer printed and hand colored 6 inch ceramic tile. Presumably from the Victorian period. I can't figure out the English registry mark on the back, so I'm not sure of its age. It features a central image of calla lillies surrounded by a bamboo framework with other flowers and leaves around the edges. It is about three eighths of an inch thick. The tile is in good condition for its age. There are some fine scratches across the center as shown in the photos. Please contact me with any questions you might have.

There are two chips on the back. It has a very shiny mirror-like finish. It was very difficult to photograph due to reflection. Just some smoke stains, with a printed design registration number and'S.H. 79' plus a raised Staffordshire knot within a triangle. Victorian tile. 6" x 6" purple and green floral design on cream background. 1/2" thick. Comes in optional basket, but basket is partly unwoven and loose from base. Tile says"England" on back and has"R" in one corner and"16" or"91" in the other. Glaze is crackled. Edges appear to have wear or very small chips. But that may have been from original manufacture. Here is a set of 10 Victorian fireplace tiles they are 6" square and in good used condition. Some of them carry a date diamond and the name"Greatbatch" which could be the design or maker, an obvious William Morris influence in the floral designs. Low start and no reserve. 6" Antique Portrait Figural Art Tile Victorian Ceramic
Hello. Up for auction is this amazing and rare 6" Victorian era portrait tile. Olive green in color. Incredible, detailed tile in high relief. Photos taken in natural light. Light to moderate crazing that is inherent to any tile of this age. I do not know who made this, although is has marking on figures left shoulder, Total length is 6 1/16" by 6 1/16" tall.
