This Victorian tile was made by T&R Boote. Stoke on Trent. It has a printed pattern of superimposed squares with acanthus leaves and with flowers as the central motif. The pattern is printed in shades of brown on a buff ground.The tile is 6 inches square and in good condition.There are a couple of very small nibbles at two corners but these are not noticeable. hi up for sale a single victorian fireplace tile-with a chunk off two corners-please see photo. would be worth a frame though its areally nicely tinted transfer print quite a dainty 6x6 tile.Barely a scratch,really shiny there is a rub to the two other corners and a couple of older small shallow flakes off one edge. 87% clean on the back-slight roughness to th.e touch small grid pattern to reverse. feel free to ask sensible questions. postage is what it is.lots of bubblewrap.Tape,post office charges.and there is no point the tiles arriving broken. thanks for looking.

Thickness of biscuit depends but usually is 0.33 inches aprox. APPROXIMATE DATE: Between 1890 to 1910 ITEM CONDITION This tile is in very fine condition. No flaws or repairs exist. Cement on reverse was carefully removed so minimal traces are remaining. Surface, as you can see, has a firm color and smooth glaze surface. Only minimal scratches and tiny chips may be seen, most of them on edges but that is hidden with grouting when reinstalling. Nothing for a more than 100 year old architectural piece. If you are buying many of them and you want a picture to have a look of the general condition no problem to supply. But image shown is well representative of tiles you will get. It is believed to be Bristol Delft and depicts a vase of Flowers flanked by two birds looking inwards. The design of the corners are distinctive. Unfortunately there is some damage around the edges and mainly at the top where there are chips from the left hand side along to the right hand corner where there is a nibble out of the corner. This Art Nouveau tile has a pattern moulded in low relief to resemble tube lining. It is a typical Art Nouveau design of stylized swirling stem and flowers. It was made by Alfred Meakin. Stoke on Trent around 1900. The tile is 6 inches square, it is in good condition apart from overall light crazing and some very slight roughness on the top edge. The back has A.M.Ltd. England, Pattern No. 346. This back was used by Meakin between 1895 and 1910.

This is an interesting Victorian transfer printed tile. It has a central square with stylized flowers surrounded by a circular border with more flowers and stems. It is 6 inches square and printed in shades of brown on a white ground. There are a couple of small nibbles on the bottom edge in the picture.The back has 6x6 embossed squares with a central 3x3 blank. There is a printed 249 in the centre.

Antique Art Tile made by the Providential Tile Co. of Trenton.NJ. Marked on the waffle back as design A-57. Measures 4-1/4" x4-1/4" x a nominal 1/2" thick. PTW went out of business in 1912. Flowers on a lattice background in a moss green and ochre(near edges) glaze.Fantastic fine.Even crystalline crazing. Crazing is inherent toi virtually all tiles of this era. A tiny corner fleabite,but really in outstanding condition. Please not that these photos were taken in natural light.So there are reflections. Any damage will be noted. Vintage, Reclaimed, Ceramic Tile - Stylised Pointillism Flowers & Hand-Painting
VINTAGE. RECLAIMED, CERAMIC TILE WITH A STYLISED POINTILLISM FLORAL PATTERN& SOME HAND-PAINTING Attractive tile with a pattern of stylised flowers. Buds and leafs that repeats in each quadrant. Pattern, including the border is made up mainly of dots laid side by side called pointillism or stipple. When viewed from a distance the dots merge. Tips of the flower petals have been been highlighted by hand-painting in red and the buds in a bluey green. Back of tile has four concentric circles and is relatively clean. There is the number 9 or the letter b in a small individual raised circle and on the opposite side an unknown symbol– see photos. Front of has one‘chip’ But it is under-glaze, so this happened in the pottery prior to firing- see photos. Back of the tile has four small chips that are just on the back arrise, otherwise there is no ... moreother damage and there are no cracks. There is uniform crazing of the glazing commensurate with the age of the tile. This attarctive Victorian tile was made by Lea and Boulton. Tunstall, Stoke on Trent around 1898. The design shows Hazel nuts or Filberts with leaves and blossom. It is well coloured with pastel shades of yellow and pink. The tile is 6 inches square and in good condition. This is a very pretty 6" x 6" English tile with an indecipherable mark on the back and the word England. The mark is an embossed circle with what appears to be a reclining lion surrounded by garlands. This is a design that just puts a smile on your face. The background color is a lovely blue-green and I believe the flowers are daisies. The condition is very good with great colors and shiny surface. I note some crazing and minimal surface rubs and scratching. I note a couple of very tiny chips on the corners. Buy with confidence from an established Ebay seller.
