The tin has some wear and patina. There are some small areas of wear. As Israel is recognized as a country; serial number is A-510000-215-7-8-9-16AP. The ruler in the photos is a YARDSTICK. The map measures a whopping 52" w x 33 3/4" H. In full color. Coated laminated paper with some rips along the left and right edges. A few pin holes from thumbtacks. On the upper right hand corner. The map has started to separate from the plastic header. There are 2 small metal loops from the top header from which to hang the piece. In good condition despite it's age. Not too many wrinkles.but always rolled, never folded. Offered for auction is a great vintage Advertising Premium from Burry’s Biscuit Company. Burry’s Biscuit Company was established in Elizabeth New Jersey in 1936. This Rand McNally World Map advertising premium was issued shortly after. The map was a premium available for on 39 cents with the purchase of Burry’s cookies. The slogan on the envelope is Burry’s Your Best Buy in Cookies. The envelope is in very good condition. It is slightly dirty with one small tear on the top center edge. The envelope has protected the large Rand McNally world map inside for over 70 years and is in mint condition. The map shows Siam. The country who’s name was changed in 1939 to Thailand. Up for auction is this 33" x 50" Rand McNally Cosmopolitan Series Map. I cannot find a date on the map but I do know that it has Yugoslavia rather than Croatia. The map is in good condition with no rips or tears. As you unroll the map. You will see that there are creases but no rips. Because of the odd shape. I do not have a container to ship it in. I kind of assume from reading some of this that we hadn't been there yet so I assume this is from the mid 1960s give or take. When unfolded this is about 26 1/2 X 19 1/2 inches.
