Here's a rare and Exquisit Vintage Antique Pre-1900 Fly Fishing Reel(made of wood + brass + horn) it has a click drag which is engaged/disengaged by the brass button on the back. All gears and drag working parts are made of brass. Reel handles are made of some type of horn with brass fittings. brass button on front is to remove spool from seat. The spool and the back of the reel seat are made of unknown hardwood with some light grooves engraved into them. The back of the spool and the reel seat have some machined tin or aluminum so that dirt doesn't enter the drag assembly. Reel has no indication of manufacturer Working condition is excellent. Click drag works great- you could take this out and fish with it immediately. Spool spins freely on spindle when drag is removed. Note: one tooth is broken on the drag gear, see photos- doesn't ... moreeffect operation. Visual condition is excellent. Shows no sign of wear, except where your finger nail would rub next to the handle and wood has a scratch or two and neither are really even worth mentioning. Finish is still glossy and no bare spots- may have been just lacquered and not stained. Reel foot shows no sign of wear. There are multiple body cracks. Broken and missing braces, broken binding, missing inlays and excess glue. The bridge has a crack through the center and has broken off. It is currently holding on by a splinter of wood. The fingerboard and frets are in rough shape and will require a complete restoration. There is a crack through the fingerboard from the 8 th– 16 th fret. Tuning machines are in good working condition. Bridge pins are included in the case; all but one are original. Body: Multi-bound body with spruce top and laminate Brazilian Rosewood back and sides. The top binding features ... moremultiple intricate inlays with a 4-ply binding on the back and middle of the sides. Ebony bridge with nickel saddle. Intricate rosette around sound hole featuring pearloid, abalone and wood inlays. There is a hand-written note on the inside of the body reading: Repaired by Jacob Dexhermer January 18 th 1904” The rest of the writing is illegible. Neck: Mahogany neck with ebony fingerboard. Ebony binding and a 1 13/16” ebony nut. Slotted peg head with ebony overlay on top and back and nickel tuners with ivoroid buttons. 24.5” scale length. Review: This guitar is looming with history and the potential to be a great player. This is an ideal project for a skilled luthier and the finished product would be a quality. One-of-a-kind piece. Hello! Here is an early 1900's 3/4 violin/fliddle in FANTASTIC shape! No breaks. No repairs, and still sounds great! Comes with original hardshell case, and two horse hair bows. It may have been refinished at some time in its life, but just looks and sounds amazing. I was told that it was set up to be played as a fiddle because of the chin rest placement, and where the rosin is located on the body. Beautiful spruce top. And figured maple back and sides. On the inside of the violin it says'Copy of Giovan Paolo Maggini' Made in Germany. The gentleman(in his late 60's) I got it from said that it was his Dad's and that it was his instrument when he was a child. So we're talking that this violin is probably pre WWII. ANTIQUE Pre-1900 PFLUEGER (ENTERPRISE MFG) Minnow Fishing LURE Painted Luminous?
For bid is an antique fishing lure by Pflueger(Enterprise Mfg) of Akron. Ohio. I haven't seen another like it searching ebay and google, so I'm thinking it is rare. The previous owner says it was made in the 1890's. The lure still has much of its silver and red paint(once luminous paint? I found a website that shows a copy of a patent issued to Ernest F. Pflueger in 1883. See here: The patent is for Pflueger's idea of painting lures with luminous paint so fish could see the bait easier at night. The second page of the patent shows a lure very similar to the one I'm selling(a spinner-less minnow) I've seen just a couple of Pflueger lures similar to this one that have sold on ebay recently. But they all have spinners of some kind. I'm wondering, since the lure I'm selling does not have a spinner of any kind, ... morecould it be one of the earliest made by Pflueger? Total extended length from tip of swivel to tip of feathers is about 7 inches. Minnow is about 2-1/2 inches long. I think the lure is made of rubber. But I don't know for sure. Original Geo Cloos 16 Inch Fife, Pre 1900
I don't know much about this fife except what I could read about online. It is 16" long and is nickel-plated plain tube with hard rubber embouchure. It is stamped GEO CLOOS in a bit of an arch shape. You're looking at an ANTIQUE 19 x 19 TIN CEILING TILE that came out of a PRE-1900 building in St Joe. Mi. I renovated the space in which this tin ceiling tile came out of for the creation of Chocolate Cafe' Museum at 300 State St, St Joe, Mi. The tile is painted white over the original tin. The tile is in good condition. Paint can be removed. The back of the tile shows the actual surface before any paint. Please see pics for condition verification. My grandfather brought two of these remarkable hand carved original antique thrones at about the turn of the century 1900. He hade two daughters and gave one to each. It was my mothers and has sat safely and respectably in our family's home for many years. We have done some research and we bilieve it is from the Dhing Dynasty era. As each piece was made to specifications of the current emporer. It is in excellent shape and was displayed in the homes but not used. The artisan craftmanship of this work of art is amazing and very detailed, The quality of craftmanship is evident. It is a true museum piece that originated from royalty. It is in original condition- never refinished.

Vintage Compass and Sun Dial in Early Wood Turned Box pre 1900
Great little item here that I thinks dates from the late 1800's. The box is wood turned and has the patina of wood aged by time. Both the round box and the compass inside are in excellent condition. The compass of made out of printed paper with a magnetic piece of metal attached to the back of it and it sits on a metal pin which allows it to move freely. The sun dial is stationary. Fixed into its position on the front of the compass. The compass box measures about one inch high and two and a quarter inches in width. What a nice piece of history to own. Label Under Glass Apothecary Pharmaceutical Bottle, pre-1900
Up for auction is a beautiful square antique label under glass apothecary bottle from the late 1890's. This square glass bottle has a mold seam of the type found on older bottles. Pre-1900(non- machine made) The seam stops before it runs over the top of the lip of the bottle. It has no chips or cracks. Some air inclusion bubbles can be seen in the old glass. It was recovered from an old New Orleans mom and pop drugstore that went out of business in the 1950's and has been in storage since. This bottle measures about 10.25 inches tall with stopper and 3.5 inches wide. The stopper can be removed. The gold rimmed label with a red trim indicates that it was used to dispense Tincture of Gentian. In apothecary times Gentian was used in treating diabetes. The detail on this collar disc is remarkable and shows the minor details of the horse shoe nails on the shoe itself. Mohawk, Seneca, Iroquois, Perfect beaded bag Great Lakes purse Pre 1900
This is a used coin purse from 1880 to 1900 Eastern Woodlands bag from the Eastern Great Lakes Area of North America. Circa.Late 1800s. Fully beaded on both sides on black and red trade cloth. Both sides are the nearly the same, I can't find missing beads except along along the top edge. The main pouch is fully covered with no loss with the exception of the tip of one flower that is pictured and the backing cloth is exposed showing the original size and shape. I took a couple of close ups to show the tightness and integrity of the beadwork and the tight stitches. The top edge shows much use and the ribbon is worn. I took several pictures to show the wear. size 4 inches in height and 4 inches in width, The original auction tag from my purchase is in the bag.

She speaks of quite a few things: apologizes for not sending sugar, someone is sick(spitting up blood) eludes to a girl being pregnant by a man that does not want to admit to being the father and is apparently threatening to kill her(sometimes it's difficult to understand what they are really talking about.this is my guess on this one) going to war, men signing up, etc. At the end she tells of someone stealing another's horse.
