This is a map of the world but it is not written in English. I do see"America" which looks a LOT different from the way it looks now. Across the top. It has"Orbis Terra Compendiosa Descriptio" I don't see any dates and I do not know much about it. It is 14 1/2" by 21" and in very good condition with a little wear around the edges. Vintage large size Paul Mccobb globe with brass squared frame. Size is about 38 inches tall and about 20 inches wide. It's in good cosmetic condition. The globe however doesn't spin well. It sort of drags on the brass holder. May need some sort of adjustment. For decorative purposes it looks great but the center of the globe is loose and therefore is not able to spin well. Sold as is. Nice decorative mid century modern globe.

Printed on cloth large wall map. Missionary Map of the World Published by The Presbyterian Board of Foreign Missions. New York. Prepared at E. C. Bridgman's Map Establishment 84 Warren St. New York. I tried to figure out the year this map was made. I believe it is before 1910. This is based on the countries Cape Colony. Natal, Transvaal which are on the map. I read that these three countries plus Orange River Colony were unified into Republic of South Africa on May 31. 1910. No Finland(became independent in 1917) I did not try to look up all the older named countries. May be older. The map is made of three pieces of material. Measures about 80 x 144 inches. The front has discolored where the pieces are joined in the back. There are holes by New Guinea and some black. See my picture. All over dirt. Small rips, fraying, small holes, stale ... moresmell, brown spots, etc. Needs a bath and love and care. If you need a close up of particular countries. Please let me know.
