On ... moreMarch 18. 1867, George F. Cram and his uncle, Rufus Blanchard, founded the company Blanchard& Cram in Evanston, IL. The company manufactured and sold maps and atlases. Cram became the sole owner two years later and renamed it the George F. Cram Co. The company sold a wide variety of atlases, including the popular Unrivaled Atlas of the World, which was printed continuously from the 1880’s to 1952. In 1921. Cram sold his business to one of his largest customers, E.A. Peterson of the National Map Company. The companies were combined at 32 E. Georgia St. in Indianapolis. The Cram name survived the merger. On March 24, 1928, George F. Cram died at the age of 86. In 1932. The George F. Cram Company began manufacturing globes. In 1936, the company moved again to 730 E. Washington St. That location is currently the Marion County Jail. Loren B. Douthit joined the company in 1937 as a School Sales Field Manager to develop the potential of the school market. Between 1937 and 1966. Cram developed a variety of educational maps and globes including the most usable globe in the classroom, Horizon Ring Globe. Loren Douthit became President and majority shareholder of the company in 1966. In March of 1968. Cram moved again to 301 S. LaSalle St. where it remained for 38 years. Loren Douthit retired in 1978, passing the torch to his two sons. William Douthit became President and John Douthit became Vice-President. The company remained in the Douthit family for 40 years until it was sold to another Indianapolis company. Herff Jones. ANTIQUE; RARE Framed Stoke-on-Trent Tile; Art Nouveau
Beautiful original. Antique Stoke-on-Trent ceramic tile. Tile measures 8" x 8" frame measures 9.5" x 9.5" Both frame and tile are in very good condition. There is no major damage to either, though in the photos you can see the slight damage to the frame and very subtle cracks in the lacquer on the tile, as well as where the original tape has crumbled or been peeled away. Also note the remains of a sticker on the back that states manufacture in Stoke-On-Trent, England as well as a series number, perhaps TR/1. This tile bears similarities to Minton Hollins and Wedgwood tiles, though I am not sure who the manufacturer is.

B.C. Comic Johnny Hart ~ R.C.A. TV Company Framed Slogan~1980s? This listing is for a large framed slogan produced by the RCA company for their TV division. I believe in the 1980s or 1990s. My father hung this in his office at the plant and it would have been an internal motivational product. It states KEEP IT ROLLING and features the newspaper comics character B.C. Who was created by Johnny Hart(the print shows a facsimile of his signature on the art) The picture is actually painted/printed on a felt-like fabric and is firmly stapled to a wooden frame, which has a piece of hardware for hanging. It measures 12 1/4" X 18 1/2" Making it a nice size for the wall. CONDITION: Overall condition of this item is VERY GOOD. The felt piece that contains the painted/printed picture is pretty clean with some overall age dulling. But not surprising ... moredue to its age. The print/painting/decal image itself is an excellent, perfect condition without any flaking or wear-it's bright, solid, and beautiful.There are a few small brownish age spots and a little faint staining on the fabric, mainly near the right edge. There is one more significant spot to the left of the drawing where there is a ghostlike whitish/brownish spot that looks like something was spilled there and then dried. It is not real dark so it may just be a water stain. It does not dramatically take away from the overall appearance. There is a tiny spot near the upper right corner of the frame where there is a wee hole in the fabric. Probably from the strain of being attached to the frame there. It's right up at the top right edge, so it's not easily seen. The wooden frame is in very nice condition with a small nick in the finish at the lower right edge of the frame. Otherwise, it has a nice even tone. The staples on the back side that hold the felt to the frame have very little aging, and no significant rust. The staples are holding the print firmly and really are in nice condition, considering how long they've been there. The hanging piece of

I think that these were done in the 1940s-50s and at the time they used a few tools to help mold the piece and finished it with their hands. They measure approx 12" x 10" and the solid wood frames measure approx 17" x 15 1/2" and they are in good condition.could probably use a coat of finish on the wood if desired though ntot really necessary. Up for auction are these two nicely framed 1993 Holstein Cow pictures by Figi. The cow motif wooden frames measure 7 3/4" x 5 3/4" They each have a thick black matting surrounding the 4 1/2" x 3" opening. The prints have the appearance of being a watercolor and not just a flat photo. The blue on the 2nd pic mat is a reflection. Not a flaw. The backs still have the original Figi Graphics 1993 sticker, along with the Figi backing and a metal hanger. They are very nicely done and would add charm to your decor. Thank you for looking.

RETRO WALL HANGINGS, GRAVEL ART, FOLK ART, FRAMED, PAIR
There must be a name for this kind of art. But for right now, I’ll call it framed retro wall hangings. These 2 pieces are done in various thicknesses and types of paper. Some pieces are shiny reflective. And some are textured. These pieces seem to be glued– as in a kit. To form abstract items such as trees, clouds, bridges etc. Everything is arranged on pressboard on which there are some printed items. Then the pieces are applied to fill in around the printed areas. The hay wagon is done with ground cork! The framed covered bridge has some gravel art and ground cork for the dimensional look. The trees are littered with shiny foils(see photos) Both of these pieces are framed in wood. And there is a mild twist, or torque, to each item. They will be easy to straighten out) These pieces were stored in a basement and have some yellowing from dampness; ... morehowever. They lack the basement‘odor’ To hang them you will need to apply a hanger hook or wire. I can ship this offering by Priority Mail in the States. SET OF 4 PARI SIAN ATELIER PRINTS f rom a French F ashion House late 1920's to early 1930's THESE 4 PRINTS SHOW 7 STYLES OF DRESSES AND COATS IN BLACKS. BEIGES, AND DUSTY ROSE TONES. A PIECE OF FASHION HISTORY.WHEN WOMEN WENT TO THEIR FAVORITE ATELIER TO SHOP FOR UPCOMING SEASONS. A LADY PICKED THE STYLES SHE WANTED AND HAD IT MADE TO ORDER FOR HER BODY. Oh the grand days when this was standard for many women.not just the over-the-top wealthy. These prints are from a booklet produced by Parisian fashion house Atelier Bachowitz varying each season. To make the prints. An etching was created with each fashion style represented by numbers, hand colored and printed. Not many exist anymore except Fashion Houses of the period like Chanel. Dior, Louis Vuitton.and most of those are in museums or archived by the Fashion Houses. I tried to ... morephotograph them up close so one can see how beautifully and with what detail they were drawn. Because each frame was custom fit to the print. They are approximately 17 1/2" high x 13 1/2" wide x 3/4" They show front or back views and both the front and back view of 3 styles are pictured. Purchased in the 1980's at the'Marche aux Puces' in Paris-market with fleas'one of the 3 best and most famous of European flea markets, they were framed in NYC in a dark charcoal outer matte. On acid free backing, in black lacquered wood frames under plastic sheeting. All are backed with brown framing paper(I wouldn't cut one to see the actual year printed) and has an adjustable wire hanging system. All 4 are shown to be from'Atleier Bachowitz' as stamped in the bottom right corner of each print. Any age marks or coloring were there before framing 25 years ago. This auction is for an extremely RARE Antique Original Print or Art Postcard From an Austrian artist entitled"Guardian Angel" Heiliger Schutzengel) Framed Art Print 1918 H Zabatari/Hans Zatzka. This print supposedly was ran on the original machines into the 1940s. But I am unsure of when this p articular one was made. Probably between 1920 and 1940. The Guardian(c. 1918) was painted by H. Zabateri as a postcard(Austria? Original postcards with the artist's name(credit) can be purchased from collectors. Several prints of this painting have been attributed to"Lindberg" Lindberg copied the orginal painting and used brighter colors. Detail changes, and simplier figures. There are pages of prints for sale on the internet by H. Zabateri. They are primarily of religious themes. Such as his well known image of"The Last ... moreSupper" and another of the"Sacred Heart of Jesus" There is little information on who H. Zabateri was, or where he was from. As with many artists of the era. Zabateri was a pseudonym, another name by which an artist signed his work. H. Zabateri was also known as Hans Zatzka; an Austrian who was born in Vienna in 1859 and died somewhere around 1945. It appears Hans Zatzka used the pseudonym of H. Zabateri for his more Christian religious works, though there are some allegorical/mythological images with the Zabateri signature) Zatzka was known for his allegorical subjects, genre scenes, and figures. According to online biographies; he spent many years dedicating his painting to the churches and other known establishments of Austria. He was the student of the Academy of Fine Arts of Vienna from 1877 to 1882. While he decorated numerous churches of Vienna, Mayerling, Olmutz and Innsbruck, he was most widely known for his passionate images depicting women, fairies and mythological subjects.
