VICTORIAN `SPRING FLOWERS IN A SQUARE AND CIRCLE BORDER` TILE
This is an interesting Victorian transfer printed tile. It has a central square with stylized flowers surrounded by a circular border with more flowers and stems. It is 6 inches square and printed in shades of brown on a white ground. There are a couple of small nibbles on the bottom edge in the picture.The back has 6x6 embossed squares with a central 3x3 blank. There is a printed 249 in the centre.

Floral Tile Architectural Salvage Rectangular tile features two cylindrical vases adorned with flowing swags and bows. Glazed in shades of pink, yellow and aqua. Clusters of flora run across the bottom. A ribbed border is done in aqua. Looks to be a late 1800's border tile, perhaps from a fireplace. Stamped on back"Trent" The finish is lovely. Crackle glaze over an off-white background with very little damage. One piece of white border below the vase on the right is missing. Shown in our photographs. The tiles are intended for floor use but could be used for a variety of purposes. The tiles are in reasonable condition for their vintage but there are some small nibbles and chips to the edges and corners both to fronts and undersides. However they are still very usable. Please see photo s for confirmation of condition. Size and Weight Size- Tiles are 14.5cm(5.75 inches) by 3.7cm(1.5 inches) It should be noted that the tile to the bottom left in the photo is slightly less in length. Weight- 1400g. Condition: These are in super condition with only the odd small nibble to the edge and some light scratching. The odd mark mostly around the edge. Please see photos.
