A wonderful victorian fireplace tile. Earthenware clay hand painted and glazed fireplace tile. 6" square x 1/2" thick. A pair of darling sweet little birds sitting on the branches of a vine. Colours of burnt sienna and ginger. 2 fine lines of burnt sienna border the tile. The surface has a 3 tiny chipped dots. zoom in to see these) but these do not take away from the charm of such an object. Perfect to stand on a mantel or on a shelf! The Victorians were fascinated with all things botanical. This tile is no exception of a good 19th century study!

They are made out of white porcelain decorated with thick glaze in blue and brown. The two compete tiles are mirror image of each other to make a daisy in the center medallion. Description This is a nice lot that was salvaged from a Philadelphia Victorian Home. There are dozens of different colors and designs. They look great put together. They were originally from the opening of a fireplace mantel and will make a great bathroom or kitchen detail. As shown it measures 38.5 inches tall by 36.75 wide. Most of the mortar is off the backs. Overall. They are in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as they are antique. They could use a good scrubbing but will clean up nicely. There are some minor edge and corner dings. #1 Vtg 50s MID CENTURY MODERN TILE LOT Architectural Salvage Eames Era MODERNIST
FIVE DAY AUCTION. Offering four mid century modern tiles made in Mexico and installed in a modern home in the early 1950s. Architectural salvage fresh from the estate. This is LOT#1 of 5 lots of these tiles. There are four tiles in each lot. I'm selling 20 tiles in total. See my other sales to see the other tiles. These tiles would make a nice wall installation which is how they were used in the original house. They had these modern tiles as accent tiles then had solid yellow. Burnt orange, and brown tiles mixed in. Would also be nice to make a tile top table out of these, etc. They measure approx. 4 1/4 inches square. Some glaze crazing. Antique Tile Blue Rose Architectural Salvage Vintage c.1900 Majolica Raised
A really beautiful English tile. Delicious inky indigo blue. Caramel and the tiniest of pink. A single rose sits above a wonderful asymmetrical rococo flourish of swirls and curls. Majolica style raised pattern. Probably once part of a ladies washstand. c.1900. A little chip to the left had corner. But his does not take away from the charm. Truly beautiful shabby chic original glazed earthenware. Would look fabulous just propped up on a mantel piece or maybe nestled between plants at the kitchen window sill. Measures 6" x 6"
