Antique Vintage Subway Tile Bullnose 6-Inch Trim 'Robertson' Early 1900's
Please note: the price listed is for one piece of tile(there are 12 available for approx. 6 linear feet) All of them have crackled glaze and some staining under the glaze along the top edge(see pics) Also. Sealing is recommended if these will be installed in a wet location. Please contact me with the quantity needed and I can give you a shipping estimate. These are'Robertson Art Tile' bullnose caps. I'm not sure of the age as these were found in a mixed lot of tile. They were in business from 1892-1920, but these are most likely from the very early 1900's. They are approx. 6" long with about a 1/2" offset between the top and bottom edges. The overall thickness is 1 1/2" and they will project from the wall 1 1/2" Most have a few tiny flea-bites on the edges and/or light scratches. Overall. They are in nice ... moreshape and have barely any thinset on them for a clean installation. Any edge grout will be removed prior to shipping, they will pretty much be ready to install. Description This is a great antique lot that was salvaged from a Philadelphia Victorian Home. There are 414 2x6 pieces. 34 sf. They have a white glaze with crackle. There are some additional broken tiles that will be sent. Your bid buys the lot. They are 3/8 inches thick. Overall. They are in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as they are antique. They could use a good cleaning. There are a couple corner dings. Some tiles have paint on them. Please look at the pictures carefully. It is a mottled brown/caramel color. There is crazing under the glaze. There are 91 whole pieces They are just over one inch by 6 inches long and are 1/2 inch thick and 1 1/2 inches wide. Available here is a set of encaustic fireplace tiles made by Trent Company. There are 11 six inch tiles with a floral/vine/three leaf clover pattern. Included in the tiles are 2 corner tiles. One top center tile and one end"L" tiles. shown in center) Beautiful colors of aqua and brown. Color change can be arranged differently if desired. Colors are much more pretty than photos depict. All of the tiles exhibit crazing consistent with age. They have very little to no concrete grout on the back. They are all marked“TRENT” on the back. When placed together correctly. The floral/vine tiles form a continuous flowing pattern. There is one tile with small chips no bigger than 1/4” near the edge. Other than that the tiles are in good condition with no major issues. My eBay name says it all.liquidators. I was an eBay seller back in 2000 and I sold to meet a financial goal. Life has a way of taking over such that when my goal was hit my inventory just sat in storage. Well. I have to admit not only did it sit but over the years I have added to it. Due to my fiancé in all likelihood having to move overseas due to work in 2015 and me tagging along I HAVE TO liquidate my inventory. And yes, I have that much that I need to start now. These subway tiles were salvaged from an from a 19th century house in the Northeast. They are an off white. Measure 3x6" and are signed Pardee. These are the real deal late 19th early 20th century subway tile with 90 degree edges and are 3/8" thick. What you will get is a cleaned tile with the grout and mud removed. These will be ready to use. The purchaser will have the option to purchase the additional tiles if desired. I will also be more than happy to send a color swatch tile piece for $2.95. We have tried to research this maker’s mark and are presuming this was produced on the Ohio River from the Alhambra Tile Company in Newport KY. We have contacted the Historical Society in Newport KY and they also believe that these were produced from the Alhambra Tile Company. Still. We all could be incorrect but below we have inserted the history for the Alhambra Tile Co. A lot of these tiles were shipped out of this company through the canals during this era. Many fireplace tiles located in Holmes County and the surrounding areas have this ... morestyle. Shape and color of small Subway Tiles. These tiles are in as removed condition and being sold as is. We have not cleaned them. They need a good cleaning to really show their true colors. I have cleaned one tile to show you the beauty of these old colors of aqua and cream plus some muted yellow tones. Some have old chips. New chips, very nice conditions. staining and half tiles. Villeroy & Boch Subway Tile ...Absolutely Gorgeous
Okay folks.this one is going to floor you.I have acquired a King's Ransom of brand new old stock Villeroy and Boch Subway tile. 50 tiles per case and each tile is 2.5 x 6 inches.resulting in 6.89 square feet per box. These boxes sold at retail for a MINIMUM of $65 each and that was an old price. In terms of colors I have two available(and you're just going to have to go by the pictures and box descriptions on these for the official word. Unofficially I would call one an off white that is sort of like a very fine cup of latte with heavy on the milk The other color is sort of a lavendery sort of kind of color. Both are absolutely beautiful. Seriously beautiful. And if you know anything about Villeroy and Boch you know that we are talking about high end stuff. Every piece made in France and one thing that is really interesting about ... morethese boxes is that about 20% of the tiles in each box are glazed on the side and are to be used as edging pieces per the instructions in the box. Lots of boxes available of each color. A steal at $40 a box but the catch is that I am not mailing these tiles at all. If you want them you'll have to pick them up. And to keep it totally factual just in case"latte" and"lavendery" are not a good description of the colors I would encourage you to please look carefully at the pictures. You will see the contrast of the tiles versus other white Villeroy and Boch white subway tiles that I've surrounded them with. In addition. Please look at the pictures of the boxes. Tile number is 1310.and color code for one is 235(latte) and the other is 247(lavender) Neither is in the current Villeroy and Boch numbering system so latte and lavendery seem like good names I guess. The same exact profile as the rest. The only difference is the top ledge that returns to the wall is 1-1/2" and the others are 1-3/4" A big. Thick capping that was used in grand apt buildings and hotels around the turn of the century. There are 23 pcs that measure 3"x6" 18 are in very nice vintage condition with varying crazing and minimal. If any chips. One is a National. 4 have extensive chipping on the faces. One is very nice but gas a chip out of the ledge. There are 3 partial pieces of about 2-1/2" each. There is one 3"x6" returned stop tile. Right handed. There are(2) 3" x5-1-4" factory sized. Not cut right hand ... moreoutside corners. And there is one 3" x6" left hand outside corner that is one of the two Nationals. A nice lot for restoration or for a smaller project. 22pcs Antique Robertson Neo-classical Border Tiles 1 X 6 Subway White Acanthus
Lot of 22pcs Antique art tiles made by the Robertson Tile Co of Morrisville. Pa. 1" x 6" x 1/2" thick, plus a domed face. These date to the late 1800's-early 1900's. Marked on the backs. Neo-classical overlapping acanthus motif. They are in excellent condition with very few chips. There is some discoloration to many. But not terrible. Lot of 24 + pcs antique ceramic art tiles from around the turn of the century. Marking on the back"Trent" of Trenton. NJ. Each measures 2-1/8" x 6-1/16" x a nominal 1/2" thick-these are 7/16" Posies with banners. These can be used as a border or in a true brick pattern(last photo) or an offset brick pattern(first photo) As a project group. They are in very good condition and most edge imperfections would"grout-in" well. All the tiles are photographed. Please note that"white" comes in many colors. These are a very white. White-as opposed to creme. A few tiles are slightly off white, exaggerated in the photos. They are pretty nicely uniform. Lot of 33 antique neo classical art tiles from around the turn of the century. Unmarked. But a Trent style back. Neo-classical stylized acanthus with a beaded border in subway white with pale teal highlights. Fantastic. Fine crazing. These are truly beautiful tiles and perhaps a enough for your project. Lot of 34 pcs( 3 pcs were missed when I took photos. But they are in excellent condition) Antique art tiles made by the Trent Tile Co of Trenton. NJ. 1-1/16" x 6" x 1/2" thick, plus a domed face. Note that antique tiles vary slightly in thickness. In this case, some are slightly longer than others. This does not affect the repeating pattern. These date to the late 1800's-early 1900's. Marked Trent on the backs. Neo-classical medallions and acanthus motif. They are in excellent condition with very few chips. As for color. These are a very white-white. I have a creamy white tile(another group in another auction) up against them in the last photo for comparison. Great for an installation. Restoration or art project.
