This listing is for a beautiful set of 10 tiles- They combine a cream and pinky brown floral design to create a beautiful tile which will look fantastic in any room. We can post anywhere or you can collect. This is a fantastic opportunity to buy a lovely original design from a quirky but elegant era! Art Deco Design Alphonse Mucha(1860-1939) achieved his fame as a leading artist of the art nouveau movement. He specialised in portraits of elegant young women enhanced with delicate floral motifs. To complement our Art Deco fireplaces. We have selected three such portraits and recreated them as ceramic tile panels. The tile panels are available with matching floral tiles at the top and bottom, the latter also being available singly. To preserve the symmetry of the fireplace. Excellent SET of 10 Antique19th Century MINTONS Tiles ART NOUVEAU 6"x6" No 2861 This auction is for an excellent set of 10 antique tiles from Minton dating to the late 19th Century. The tiles have a superb organic. Art Nouveau design in shades of ginger, tan and fawn on a warm buttermilk ground with a good rich glaze. The pattern number is 2861 and registeration number is 313518 dating the design to 1898. This is in the era of Leon Solon and the tile is likely to be one of his designs. The tiles measure 6 inches(15.25 cm) square. The tiles are in overall very good condition with no significant faults. There are a few minor edge nibbles to some of the tiles and clean age-related glaze crazing. The backs of the tiles are in very good. Clean condition. They are embossed on the backs for'Mintons China Works. Stoke on Trent Made ... morein England' with the pattern and registrations numbers. These measure 6" by 6" and are a very fine reproduction. Made with raised relief work and then the color is filled in giving it incredible depth and slight variation from tile to tile. I would describe the tile colors as gold(or tan) Navy, avacado green, terra cotta, and cream. Only 9 are shown, but there are definitely 10 tiles that you will receive. These would look great in sets of 5 on either side of your fireplace, spread out on a kitchen backsplash, or else in a set of 9 as a cooktop backsplash mural. These have been in my possession for a number of years, but never used. I don't remember what I paid for them, but ... moreit was much more than $49.00!
