The issue present is all 4 feet bottoms where the porcelain ends, and bare cast iron is supposed to touch the surface it sits on has small chips at the very bottom. Sitting and viewing it is difficult to see, until you turn it over and they are visible. I didnt want to touch them up with the Porcelain Repair as everyones different as to what they prefer. I have used porcelain repair before and it does work very well, sometimes requiring 2 or 3 build up coats depending on the thickness your matching. Numerous pictures for your review.

Everything looks to be in very good or better condition. The outer wooden case has typical wear plus some veener loss and the lock no longer latches. Antique/Old Glass Perfume Bottles In Wood Case~Salesman Samples!!
This is an incredible and very old Salesman's sample case of perfume bottles~I'm guessing 1920's-1930's but could be older. The case is wood. Distressed from use, the hinges are now rusted and the handle at the top is what appears to be suede. The hinges are all intact and the top of the box still latches securely to the bottom. The inside of the box is a thin, purple fabric that's adhered to all areas. The inside smells very musty, probably from age and storage and the outside of the box is dirty/dusty. Just lends to the authenticity in my opinion. The four glass bottles inside have ground stoppers. The stopper on the bottle w/o a label will not come out and may have been glued. The other stoppers come out easily. The square bottles are just shy of 6.5" tall and 2-1/4" wide on the four sides, the round bottles ... moreare just shy 6-3/4" tall and are almost 2-3/4" wide at the front, so these are large bottles in the perfume world. One round bottle has a label that reads"Lazell's Coronaria" and New York. Very hard to see are the words"Crabapple Blossom" and"Concentrated Essence" The two square bottles say"Leffleur&Co" St. Louis, MO and"The guage Of Quality" All four bottles are in great shape for their age but there's some flea bites and chips around the neck of the bottle w/o a label. The stoppers show minute signs of use but in very good condition with some minor chipping. This case would make an excellent display for the perfume collector, lover of antiques and ephemera, for a boutique/shoppe owner or given as a gift. Definitely a part of history! The case measures 12.5" tall with the lid up, 10" tall with it closed, 12" tall to top of handle, 13-1/4" wide and a depth of 3.5" at the sides.Weighs 4 lbs.+12 oz. before packing materials and box. Early 20th Mixed Lot 10 Bolts Upholstery Edging Cord Decorative Trim NEVER USED on Original Wooden Cards This mixed lot of decorative furniture upholstery edging came from an old 19th century dry goods store that was going out of business. The edging/ cording/ braiding appears to be from the 1920s or 1930s. There are 10 types of edging: black; dark green; purple; green& gold; brown& gold; coral& blue; brown. Gray, gold& rust; gold& rust; red& gray; gold& red. All the cord is wound around rectangular pieces of wood covered in plain paper. They were hand-cut and not of identical size but the largest is 8 1/2" long by 5" Some of the cards appear 100 percent and some are diminished in size. All of the ... morecord is usable and taut. But red dyes of the period were less stable so there is some fading or differences in shade or tone on some of the cording. Set of 8 French antique lace pieces- salesman's samples Ranging from cream through beige to cafe-au-lait. These fantastic little pieces of lace came originally from a pattern book, carried around France by travelling salesmen( they were mostly men! representatives of the the many many lace factories and businesses. Here in the Auvergne, it was big business! The shortest piece is 5 1/2" long and the longest ones are just over 7 1/4" long. They are between 1" and 2" wide. They all show a delicate raised floral pattern. And are an alencon type lace. Some retain a little of their glue from being stuck in the book. And most interestingly, 4 of them still have their distinctive labels, cryptic numbers and an indication of which colours a particular design could be obtained in.

This is a rare find due to the punishment these items went through during their use. The box shows some scuffing, wear, and water staining; though this does not detract from the appeal. St Helens Lancashire. It has two hinged sections to the lid which reveal three compartments inside. It has a gilded transfer printed logo on the lid. The corners are dovetailed and the base and lids are simply nailed on to the carcass. The top has two brass clasps to hold the lids closed. A loose label inside(I presume it was originally glued in) indicates ... morethe types of glass produced by Pilkington in four different grades: 15oz. 21oz, 26oz and 32oz- 4ths: basic quality for ordinary window glazing in factories and housing schemes; 3rds: for better class contracts, housing, schools and offices; 2nds: for public buildings and private residences and picture framing; Best Quality: for cabinet work. I presume that this box contained samples of the types of glass and was possibly used by salesmen. Condition/ Defects: The box is in good condition; one end of the lids is slightly warped. But still holds with the clasp. It has wear to the transfer print on the lid and scratches in the varnished surface consistent with its age and use. Please supersize the photos to see better. This is a LOT of 12 salesman samples advertising calendars. Some with thermometers- PLEASE see photos. Most of the calendars slide up in behind and only ONE is incomplete. Starting in August. All but two are in the complete original boxes. Also included are the order magazine where you can see these displayed. Smalls are 5 1/4 x 6 1/4 Round is about 6 Mediums are 6 1/2 x 8 Rectangular long lady is 9 3/4x 4 3/4 Large is 8X10 There are several scenes included that can be interchanged; except for the lady in the mirror. 2 Vintage 3x5 Oriental Rug Salesman Samples-Military Soldiers Factory 80 2ndDist
I'll start by saying I don't know what these are. They were found inside an old antique clock. They look like little oriental rug or carpets. Perhaps salesman's samples or an accessory for a doll house, or some type of military patch. I was told they could be some type of old tobacco related giveaway. They have foreign soldiers and flags on them, and I think one may be Bulgaria. They are a soft, felt like cloth with tassels sewn on the ends. The edges are a little frayed, but they otherwise look good. They are stamped on the back Factory 80 2nd Dist. N.Y. and measure approx. 3in. by 5in. GREAT items to add to your collection. Set of Drum Tables with Drawers Ornate pieces look Victorian. These may have been salesman's samples or made for children. Very nice condition with surface scratches to tops as pictured-nothing deep. I don't believe in covering scratches unless I am keeping it. Measurements: Tallest is 27 3/4" and Top is 13 1/2" diameter. Smaller one is 22 1/2" and top is 11 1/4" diameter. Each has removable bottom shelf(see pics) and a drawer in the top(see pics) Condition is used but still very good. They will be shipped in separate boxes so I can pad them well. This company was once one of the leading business enterprises in the United States. In 1838, when he was 13 years old, John V. Farwell moved with his family from New York to Illinois. In 1845, the young Farwell headed to Chicago, where he worked as a clerk for several merchant houses engaged in the sale of dry-goods such as textiles, clothing, and home furnishings. In 1857, Farwell became a partner in the largest of these Chicago dry-goods firms, which changed its name from Cooley, Wadsworth& Co. to Cooley, ... moreFarwell& Co. One of Farwell's associates in this company was the young Marshall Field, who would soon form his own dry goods company.
