Old Antique Brass Ships Kerosene Light. T his piece is in g ood condition for its age. Shows some signs of use though. T he very top of the lantern has a dent in it and the handle has a light bend i n it. There are a few small dings on the out side. The glass in good condition no chips or cracks as far as can be seen. T he burner is in good condition as well. We aren't sure if this is the original burner. The burner comes out of the bottom of the lantern to refill it. T he burner is also missing 1 of the 3 clips that holds it in. W e are not experts on sailing lanterns but this is how it came to us. I t also looks like it can be hang or hung by the brackets in the back as shown in the pictures. T his is a nice peace of old time sailing history. Great 1960's Vintage Canister Tin Ship Design with an Unusual Shape. Really cute vintage ship tin that is 52 years old. The design i s very colorful and features several different kinds of ocean sailing ships. Palm trees, islands with buried treasure. The lid has a compass. Anc hor. And flag. This canister measures 5" tall not including the lid and is 5.5" across from corner to corner on the bottom. As you can see. It has an unusual shape. Dutch Manganese Delftware Tile c 1780 with sailing boats(repaired) Description. This Dutch Tile has two sailing Boats next to a village and is Dutch and c1780. Measuring 5 1/8 x 5 1/8“ it has Manganese colouring and very distinctive corners. It has been repaired on the left hand side and you can see in the photographs the joins. I have other Dutch Tiles for sale in my shop. In reasonable condition with some plaster around the edges and back and tiny nibbles edges where it has been removed from the plaster on the wall. This is a creamy milk-white with a delft blue NICKS. Glaze sketchy& glaze wear at edges and high relief areas, small chip to backside as well as nicks. Crazing beginning on reverse backside. At front bottom and at front top near hanger hole. Old wear and tear. A charming piece to be sure! Could be Staffordshire. But quite possibly American, I've never come across another to know! Huge Wooden Ship Model"Hand Made Folk Art Sailing Ship"All Carved Boats+Cannons
I picked this up about 10 years ago with good intentions. I saw this as a project I might want to tackle. I'm a finish carpenter and could do the woodwork. Fastening, gluing and so on to rebuild this magnificent sailing ship, but the projects in my own home are pressing and I don't have the time. This Ship, the"San Pedro" is a folk art work of art. The size is incredible. It is a 84 inches from the point of the jib to the rear of the boat. When the sails are standing it's almost as tall as I am( 6 feet) The structure without the jib is a full 60 inches. It stands 12 inches off the water plane and is over 12 inches across the deck. Every single part of this ship was done by hand, excluding the old German compass that hides under the rusty red smokehouse. I'm not sure if this was modeled after a ship that roamed the ... moreseas or if this came from his imagination. You can see the three rowboats in one photo. There are about twenty carved cannons. In one of the photos you can see there red tips protruding from the sides of the ship. The ladders are present, the ships wheel is aboard, the huge rudder and 3 cabins with doors and windows come with it. There are the hand carved turnbuckles that would have held the lines in place. It has two stands that keep the ship in place. I suppose I could ship it, but I'm not sure how. I've sent big things via Greyhound before. I'm totally guessing about shipping.
