This auction is for an Antique Art Deco 9 Cubist Tile Mural or Picture Majolica Panel Nouveau. Size: The Tiles measure 6” square. They are ¼” thick ... moreand have a white clay base. Condition: Overall excellent condition for being 100 years old. There is a small chip on the top right corner of the bottom right tile. There is a burst bubble in her hair. There is some wear on the high points around her left hand. There is a small chip at the bottom of her hair near her belt. There are a few other burst bubbles and a few other smaller than pin head nicks thought. It has clean even crazing. This is very hard to photograph. I never noticed how this sparkles in any light. It may look like there is damage where there is not. Please look at all the photos to judge condition. Please use the photos as part of the description. Maker: I do not know the maker. I have not examined the back of the tiles. Age: One side or the other of 1900. I purchased this 30 years ago and have had it hanging in my house ever since. It turns out that my wife really does not like it so it must go. This came out of a clothing store and was framed in the 50s. I have removed this from the frame that will not be included. It really deserves a proper matt and frame. This is currently mounted on a thin stable plywood panel measuring 22 ¼” square. I have not tried to remove the tiles. The white spots on the outside edge of the plywood panel are remnant of shims for the old matt. This is ready to reframe and enjoy. If you do not like this for any reason just send it back. I do not have a buy it now price. Shipping: This will be well packaged and shipped in a box 30”by 30” by 5” and weigh 10Lbs. Payment: By PayPal within Three days of auction close. Penn Antique Restoration. Pair of Antique 4"x4" Ceramic Floral Tiles. Wonderful. Antique, ceramic tiles salvaged from Northeastern Pennsylvania. Each tile has a picture of a yellow rose sprouting from a blue pot. Both have subtle crazing in their pictures I'm not sure if the tile was made by Minton. Meakin, Kensington, or another famous manufacturer, however, they are certainly old and good quality. Each tile still has some cement on the back from where they were removed. You could soak the back portions in water and then carefully chisel the concrete off. Or you could use a Dremel with a grind stone or cutting blade instead. One tile is as close to mint condition as could be considering it's age. And the other just has 3 small chips along it's bottom edge, which will be hard to notice once installed. Up for your consideration is an Antique Minton& Co Patent Framed Tile. This tile is a lovely piece of Victorian style art pottery. The Minton Tile Works Stoke on Trent is marked on the back in raised letters. The measurement of the tile is 6" tall by 6" wide. The tile unframed is about 9" by 9" wide. The wooden frame is antique oak finished in a dark stain.It has been professionally mounted. The condition of this tile is excellent with no chips. Nicks or breaks. There is no restoration. This auction is for an Antique Art Deco 9 Cubist Tile Mural or Picture Majolica Panel Nouveau. Size: The Tiles measure 6” square. They are ¼” thick and have a white clay base. Condition: Overall excellent condition for being 100 years old. There is a small chip on the top right corner of the bottom right tile. There is a burst bubble in her hair. There is some wear on the high points around her left hand. There is a small chip at the bottom of her hair near her belt. There are a few other burst bubbles and a few other smaller than pin head nicks thought. It has clean even crazing. This is very hard to photograph. I never noticed how this sparkles in any light. It may look like there is damage where there is not. Please look at all the photos to judge condition. Please use the photos as part of the description. Maker: I do not know the ... moremaker. I have not examined the back of the tiles. Age: One side or the other of 1900. I purchased this 30 years ago and have had it hanging in my house ever since. It turns out that my wife really does not like it so it must go. This came out of a clothing store and was framed in the 50s. I have removed this from the frame that will not be included. It really deserves a proper matt and frame. This is currently mounted on a thin stable plywood panel measuring 22 ¼” square. I have not tried to remove the tiles. The white spots on the outside edge of the plywood panel are remnant of shims for the old matt. This is ready to reframe and enjoy. If you do not like this for any reason just send it back. The back reads"Minton Hollins& Co Patent Tile Works Stoke on Trent No. 2. The corners are hand enameled with bold color. The picture is red transfer with children in hand painted adult clothing.
