This is a superb 19thc Black Forest oak pediment finely carved in relief with the magnificent head of a lion to centre. To either side of the lion head are oak leaves and acorns decorating. Each design is hand appliqued. Using a tiny blind stitch, onto a 15" block. This is a summer quilt with no batting and minimal quilting. The quilting is done only around the outer edge of each block. Hand quilted at 7 stitches per inch. Binding was formed by folding front to back and hand stitching. Size is 64" x 76"+/ There are scattered small stains and wear along the edge. This is a stunning antique Oak dresser I bought about 30 years ago and have treasured ever since. Solid Oak. It has very unique grape and leaf handles which I had never seen before nor since. The drawers are held together with the most unique dowel type system using no nails. Please see the pictures as I have tried to show every detail. Has some markings which come from being well over a hundred years old but nothing to detract from it's beauty. One of the rails on the bottom drawer underneath needs some gluing which I have not attempted. Still opens and closes perfectly. It measures 30" wide. By 28.5" high, by 15 3/4" deep. Which was quite some time ago, the top was not attached to the base, and each of the four pieces had its own old blue storage/moving company tag stuck to the underside; one on the base, one on each leaf, and one up under the top. The top is 24” by 18 ¼” Draw out the end leaves and it measures 40” by 18 ¼” Table Height = 20” I’ve done nothing to it since the day I got it other than dusting away cobwebs and such and placing it against one of those short return walls in the living room. As happens to any flat surface in our home. It was soon crowded with vases, statues, pictures and all the ... moreother stuff a normal antiquer carries home and puts on the nearest flat surface. That is how it looked the day it followed me home. Sans cobwebs. I merely stood it upright, slid the leaves into place and laid the top where it belonged. Somewhere on the planet is a little bag containing a couple bolts or screws with washers. The little sack probably has an old blue sticker on the outside. Have you seen it? One side. The one seen above, has a few spots of white paint along the top edges, transferred there from a wall over the years. That is the side I put against my wall when I placed it in the room– not wanting to cause the cute little thing any more displacement anxiety than necessary. Look closely at the image above. And you will notice a chip near the bottom left, above the block but below the barley twist. That is the only chip you’ll find. I’ll show you better pictures in a minute. Just keep your panties on. What you decide to do with the finish. If anything, it totally up to you. Offered today is this very rare Hoosier Breakfast Set. Oak drop-leaf table and four matching chairs. This table and chair set is from the late 1920's to early 1930's. I found an ad that was dated 1931 in the book"Hoosier Cabinets" By Philip Kennedy that is very similar. This is a genuine Hoosier brand. See picture with label on bottom of chair. The dimensions of the table are: 23" x 37" with the leaves down. And 42" x 37" with the leaves extended. The chairs are complete with no missing rungs or stretchers. However. They have been repaired by an amateur and need to be properly glued. Two of the chairs have metal plates on the underside. This is a classic piece of American history. I would love to keep it. Antique Slag Glass Lamp with Oak Leaf and Acorn Motif
Beautiful and unusual antique slag glass lamp with caramel slag glass panels which have been painted between the metal overlay(most likely original paint) with an oak leaf and acorn motif. The lamp has its original gold patina(which is worn in places due to normal wear) The lamp base has a small indentation(seen in picture#3) and is recently rewired for immediate use. Two of the six slag glass panels have cracks- the larger crack in pictures#6 and#7 is expertly repaired and very hard to see, and the smaller corner crack seen in pictures#8 and#9 is older and can be seen a bit more. The lamp measures 22" high to the top of the finial, the shade is 20" in diameter point to point, 18" in diameter side to side, and 9 1/2" high. The shade and base are going to be carefully packed and shipped to ensure safe arrival.

In addition to being used as a desk they were also used as secretaries. Sewing tables and also doubled as a night stand. This desk measures 47 1/2" in length in the unfolded position. 23 1/2" folded x 23" deep x 25 1/2" high. The folding legs are turned and have wooden casters, and the drawers are made with dove tail joints. This is a very sturdy desk which I have been using for the past six years as my computer desk. There are a few blemishes which can be seen in the photo's which can be best described as scratches and a few heat scorch marks which may have been from an iron. A lamp to close to the surface, or from a sewing machines motor heat ... moreall of which add to the patina of this beautiful desk. In great condition. No breaks or cracks. Been recently repainted with gold leaf. Measures overall 9" by 12" picture size is 3.75" by 5.5" I try to find any defects but I can't guarentee I'll see them all. No returns unless item is not as described. ~ Beautiful Antique Tiger Oak 5 Leg Dining Table w/1 Leaf ~ Up for your viewing is an awesome tiger oak dining table that I purchased from an estate auction about a year ago. I actually purchased two tables. One was round(which I already sold) and this one. They both had been stored in I believe an attic, for they were very dusty and dirty due to being stored for many years. This table appears to have quite a few layers of varnish or stain on it and when they stored it I believe they put a vinyl table cloth on it, the kind with the cotton or felt like lining and through the years of heat and the layers of varnish it has on it the lining somewhat stuck to the top of the table. When I went to clean it up the fuzzy stuff would not come off no matter what I did so we thought we would try a spot with some paint stripper and it come off. That is ... morewhy the spot is on the top. My intentions then was to strip it off and restain it but never had the time to do it and hated to see this beautiful table sit around and need the space so I am selling it as it is. As you can see on the spot that we stripped under all the varnish that was on it the grain is beautiful and on the leaf, it is the natural color. This table is on wheels except for the center one is missing. But I should have one somewhere around here that I will put on it if I do. Also there is a piece of wood that is off on one of the legs as shown in the pictures. Other than that it is very nice. Once it is restained or whatever one wants to go about finishing the top it will look awesome. The table measures 42" square x 30" tall without the leaf and 25-1/2" from the ground to the bottom of the table. The leaf is approx. 12" wide. I have provided several pictures to view. Please view them carefully and ask any questions prior to bidding or purchasing. I will be happy to answer them the best I can.
