17th century Delft tin glaze tile circa 1650 Dutch with naive cherub and horn
17th century Delft tin glaze tile circa 1650 Dutch with naive cherub blowing horn design Lovely example of 17th century tin glazed hand painted delft tile depicting a cherub or angel with a horn. One of a series of 15 I am listing. Design suggests this is Dutch. Similar tiles on V&A museum website dating this tile from 1625- 1675. Size is approx 125mm x 125mm. Original unrestored condition with marks of age and wear. Nibbles on some edges and corners. Some crazing of glaze. Small remnants of plaster or cement remain on back but nothing major. Small chip on reverse not noticeable from front. Overall condition is great for tile of this age. Photo tells the story so please use this as a basis of condition. More photos available if required. 17th cent Delft tin glaze tile c1650 Dutch with naive cherub with arrow in heart Lovely example of 17th century tin glazed hand painted delft tile depicting a cherub with an arrow through its heart. One of a series of 8 I am listing. Design suggests this is Dutch. Similar tiles on V&A museum website dating this tile from 1625- 1675. Size is approx 125mm x 125mm. Original unrestored condition with marks of age and wear. Nibbles on some edges and corners. Most noticeable is bottom right with small chip affecting face of design of tile on corner design. Some crazing of glaze and firing marks as you would expect for tin glaze tile. Small remnants of plaster or cement remain on back but nothing major. Overall condition is great for tile of this age.
