Antique 19th century Minton's decorative tile. Lady feeding rabbits William Wise
This is a rare Minton's tile depicting a pretty young lady feeding rabbits. It is stamped'Mintons China works Stoke-on-Trent' and has the circular Minton mark with the globe in the bottom right. This stamp was introduced in 1868 and I think that this tile dates to around then. It is a standard 6" tile. The condition is great, there are a few faint craze lines in the glaze as is usual for a tile of this age. It was designed by William Wise but this tile is not signed. I am selling a second interesting William Wise Minton tile this week as well as all sorts of other interesting things. So please take a look.
