Maker unknown. Each tile is printed in brown with an image covering the whole tile surface with large flowers and associated foliage. There is a diagonal design depicting abstract floral shapes& leaves with linear borders. The tiles have been hand finished in pinks. Greens and yellow. Antique Art Nouveau, Victorian English Border Tiles - 1900s - 4 tiles
These are gorgeous antique tiles made in England likely in the early 1900s or late 1800s. These are really lovely with a nice glossy and crackly thick glaze finish. It was difficult to get the color to show up accurately. So I put a very red piece of paper next to them so you can see the color. I would call it pomegranate myself. Mossy green color on a low bas relief geometric floral that would have looked right at home in the Aesthetic Victorian home. The tile had a very glass-like glaze that is very crazed and has scratches and wear on the high points of the design. Still a nice little size for display or use as a trivet. Lot of 33 antique neo classical art tiles from around the turn of the century. Unmarked. But a Trent style back. Neo-classical stylized acanthus with a beaded border in subway white with pale teal highlights. Fantastic. Fine crazing. These are truly beautiful tiles and perhaps a enough for your project. 4 ANTIQUE VICTORIAN MINTON HOLLINS BLUE& WHITE FLORAL CERAMIC TILES These lovely antique tiles have a blue and white decorative pattern and were made by Minton Hollins of Stoke upon Trent England. The tiles are in good condition considering their age. One of the tiles is missing part of its top left corner and all the tiles have some minor nibbles to their edge. All of the tiles have various levels of tile cement still attached. As visible in the photos. There is also some crazing to the glaze present on all the tiles, but this does not detract from the quality of the decoration. The tiles measure 6" by 6" and have"MINTON HOLLINS&Co PATENT TILE WORKS STOKE ON TRENT" embossed on their base.
